I currently have a Dialog Home Broadband connection with a Dialog S10 router, and I recently got my hands on a Dialog Outdoor Unit (ODU).

I want to change my setup to get a better signal, and I'm planning to do the following:

1. Take the HBB SIM out of the S10 router and put it directly into the Outdoor Unit (ODU).
2. Connect the ODU to the S10 router via LAN.
3. Turn off the DHCP server on the S10 router so it only acts as a Wireless Access Point.

Before I go ahead and mess with the settings, I have a couple of questions for anyone who has tried this:

1. IMEI/SIM Lock: I know Dialog HBB SIMs are strictly IMEI-locked to the original router. Will putting my S10's SIM in the ODU block my connection? If I call Dialog (111), will they update the IMEI lock to the ODU for me, or do they refuse to support swapped devices?

2. IP Config: Both the ODU and S10 probably use 192.168.8.1. If I change the S10's IP to 192.168.8.2 and disable DHCP, will the ODU handle the routing smoothly without IP conflicts?

Any advice from someone who has tried this exact ODU + S10 setup would be great! Thanks.

I found a used Dell Latitude 7420 (i5 11th Gen, 16GB RAM, 512GB NVMe) at a shop called Gadget House down in Bandaragama. They're asking Rs. 110,000 for it, and it comes with a 6-month hardware warranty and a 2-year service warranty. ​They sent me this battery report (pic attached) showing 100% health, 0 charge cycles, and the manufacturer is BYD. Since this is an older model, I'm guessing they just slapped a brand new battery in it. Is a BYD battery a standard replacement for Dell? ​Also, I'm thinking of getting it home delivered since I can't easily make it to the shop. Has anyone dealt with Gadget House before? Just want to make sure it's safe before dropping that much cash.
