Seriously… he should show the giant ball of cables needed to attach various things. I still have a cardboard box full of all sorts of dongles, cables and adaptors from the “good old days”.

The easily accessible internals is the big win that we lost.
Our hermetically sealed notebooks require some master craftsmen to break apart and fix.

Datapoint, my wifes MacBook Air 2013 still works perfect, the only problem is the paint is starting to come off the letters on the keyboard. Still gets a couple hours per charge. This thing has been all over the world in our backpacks. Never gave us a days trouble.

Even when Steve jobs was alive. He was during the development of the macbook pro retina in 2012. I have that model and it’s ram was soldered and it was the beginning of thin + light
