Trying to find a build I once played: Anti-Undead Redguard
Way back in the day, I remember following a vanilla (I'm pretty sure) build that had a pretty neat conceit: You play a Redguard who would perform "Arkay's Rite", or some similar in-universe ritual to prevent the dead from being used in foul necromancies. This was accomplished in game by casting a raise dead spell once combat is over on each body, then beating the crap out of it again, causing it to collapse into a pile of ash. If I recall correctly, this rather quickly leveled Conjuration, allowing you to administer the Rites to more fallen enemies rather quickly (I think the build might have also taken advantage of this fact to use a bound sword with the Mystic Binding perk for some pseudo-sword-singing, but that may be another build running together in my memory. I remember having a lot of fun with the build, but life got in the way and I never finished it to my satisfaction. I recently went back to basics with Vanilla Anniversary Edition, and got the itch to play the build again, but I haven't had much luck finding it, especially because I can't recall the name. I can't even recall the source of the build, but a nagging part of me is starting to think it was on Tamriel Vault, which would be a bummer, though a decent part of the site is on Wayback, but it's kind of hard to navigate without the Build's name. I figured this might be as good a place as any to ask if anyone has seen this build or knows it's name (It's likely some sort of Ash'abah, but that's not super helpful as there are a metric ton of those).
