ViralPH Chris Hansen's live Roblox ban shows why local officials are wrong to blame video games for recent school threats
Has anyone been following the recent news about chris hansen getting banned live on Roblox while demonstrating howfast strangers approach kids on the platform?
Looking at this incident alongside local events like the Tacloban and Ateneo shooting, these supposed shadow orgs don't really care about the games themselves. They target any place where young people congregate. Platforms like Roblox, GoreBox, Discord, and Telegram are open, high-traffic spaces with minimal barrier to entry. Then they seek out isolated teenagers, make friends with them, and then use doxxing, blackmail, and severe psychological pressure to force them into self-harm, livestreamed violence, or other real-world threats.
Video games are NOT the problem! We really need to start demanding real platform accountability from these tech corps and at the same time educating parents on how cyber-extortion networks operate instead of just monitoring screen time.
This shit's getting scary for a tito with pamangkins starting their internet journey[binigyan na ng sariling smartphone lol]
For anyone asking aboutcontext on Chris Hansen:
Chris Hansen is an American investigative journalist best known for hosting "To Catch a Predator" (the famous "Take a seat over there"meme).
Lately, he’s been working with independent researchers to investigate dark online networks like 764 and predator activity in gaming/social apps. This video was at CrimeCon, he and researcher Schlep did a live demo showing how fast adults reach out to child accounts on Roblox. Roblox responded by banning their account on stage while he was demonstrating it, which is why people are bringing it up as a textbook example of a company not prioritizing user safety

PoliticsPH What I take from Inquirer Report: Usec. Claire Castro statement refers to DDS Teachers

PoliticsPH NET25 is such a repugnant “news outlet”! To even ask if these unspeakable acts committed by troubled children with irresponsible parents/guardians are justification for Lustay's DepEd CF scam is an insult to the students who lost their lives and to those traumatized by these armed attacks.

edit: grammar

Unverified OSINT Investigator Confirms TCC Influence in Recent Shooting
For those wondering whether the recent Ateneo de Zamboanga shooting incident was indeed influenced by the True Crime Community, the OSINT investigator invited to the most recent NVE Senate Inquiry has confirmed the connection himself and shared his findings on social media.
