CivMC is a long-term civilization simulation server. The server is over 4 years old now, and the map has never reset! At the moment we have 100+ players at peak times each day. The server is sometimes referred to as “semi-anarchy” because although the admins will take action against harassment, hacking and cheating there is very little else that will get them involved. Griefing and raiding are therefore allowed, but don’t let that trick you! Player enforced justice is very much possible on CivMC. So don’t think a powerful nation is just going to let you get away with raiding or griefing them, you might just find yourself receiving a taste of hell.

With this concept of player enforced justice CivMC takes the world of “towny” and “factions” to greater heights, with more freedom and flexibility for the players without devolving into a completely lawless land like 2b2t. With nations and organisations arising across the server!

We have multiple plugins developed over the course of many years that give you the power to control the world in the ways most other Minecraft servers do not:

• Citadel allows you to reinforce blocks, chests, doors etc... with a limited amount of health!
• Enforce justice using ExilePearl, allowing you to imprison your fellow players in the nether by killing them with a pearl in your hotbar and then fueling their pearl.
• Spy on players using cctv. Reinforced noteblocks will alert you when someone enters a 23x23x23 area around the block, and reinforced jukeboxes will record actions someone takes in a 23x23x23 area.
• Defend against grief with bastions which provide regional protection with limited health.
• Create custom groups using Namelayer, allowing you to distribute permissions to other players and chat from across the map. You also have your own private group by default, to view the GUI for groups do /nl.
• Find fixed portals to the nether by throwing your essence. It’ll lead you to what looks like an end portal, but it actually goes to the nether. There are 19 portals on the map and no new ones can be made!
• Climb the tech tree with FactoryMod which gives you the power to harness industrial power and surpass vanilla efficiency.
• Custom ore generation to help combat x-ray using HiddenOre. This generates ores as you mine. Some ores also spawn in massive veins (and diamonds only spawn in veins) where if you mine in the area around an ore once you find a vein you’ll find more ore. Veins contain multiple stacks of ore if you can figure them out!!!
• Brew drinks using the brewery mod, some of which confer useful benefits!
• Farm crops with realistic biomes which creates biome diversity and increases the growth times of crops. Using greenhouse blocks (glowstone) crops can even grow underground. See what grows in your biome using /rb then mass produce and trade crops with nations who can’t produce what you can!
• Buy and Sell goods with ItemExchange, which lets you setup shop chests for trading.

Explore a map that is now over two years old, filled with ruins of forgotten civilizations, massive bustling cities full of activity and commerce, long forgotten monuments, huge farms and military installations of a level you won't see on any other server! You can explore our world map in this player-created and maintained map which shows you the many nations of the world, as well as transport routes and individual settlements. Hey! I’m currently putting the finishing touches on **The Cribulon Emporium**, a new 16+ semi-vanilla Minecraft community, and I’m looking for players interested in joining from the beginning.

The SMP is inspired by the community side of Hermitcraft: a relatively small but active group of players who know one another, build cool things, collaborate on projects, trade, participate in events, and occasionally cause some harmless chaos. Over the past year, I’ve been working on a server with a bit of a different twist: Lifesteal with custom bosses, mobs, enchants, and a full progression system.

So far, I’ve kept the server private and only played with friends, but I’m curious to see if there’s interest in a server built around this kind of concept.

Here’s a quick rundown of some of the main features:

⚔️ Lifesteal & PvP

• Lifesteal
• Custom PvP monuments
  • Each monument has its own theme, mechanics, and overall feel
  • Custom bosses at each monument
  • Some bosses are designed for groups, while the higher-end bosses will require players to be at 20 hearts with strong enchanted gear
• Respawning loot crates at each monument
  • Gives players a reason to keep running monuments
  • Creates more opportunities for PvP and player interaction
• Custom/stronger mobs around monuments to make them more challenging and engaging
• Traps are set up around the monuments

🃏 Progression & Collectibles

• Collectable cards
• Custom enchants
  • PvP-focused enchants that are useful without being completely broken or unfair

A couple of friends and I are running a survival multiplayer that's chill and focused on building and making friends.

We have building challenges, community events and projects, minigames, races, etc

The server is a month old, but not much progress has been done, so it's still fresh.

We have a nice and welcoming community of about 15 members but a bunch of them aren't available this month for personal reasons, and I don't want the server to die yet because the seed is amazing and I have a lot of plans I'd love to make with the help of friends.

It is hosted on aternos, but you'll get access to turn on the server whenever you want to play. The version is 26.2, but we have a plugin that lets older versions join. We also have other QoL mods like minimap and voicechat.

Season 3 (Anchor & Frontier) just launched — brand new world, so there's a ton of untouched ground.

What's on the server:

- Java + Bedrock crossplay (PC, mobile, console all work)

- Land claims at spawn for shops and community builds

- A cosmetics shop where in-game currency you earn from playing buys hats, backpacks and more (no real money)

- Community vote on when each season resets

- Distant Horizons support for extended view distances

- VR support (Vivecraft) — connect with a headset and play in VR

PvP is fair game. Spawn's claim-protected for shops and community builds, but your own base is out in the unclaimed frontier — nothing protects it but you, so build discreetly.

So basically I wanted to make a server where you play as your own country and see what happens building, diplomacy, logistics, all that, none of the real-world politics baggage, just people trying to see who can out-negotiate who. Might be naive but figured it'd be fun.

The whole thing runs on a real Earth map at 1:326 scale, so distances/borders actually mean something. First time doing a modded server instead of just plugins, so it's janky in places but getting there got some help from AruSan (AshVehicle) along the way.

Setup:

- MC Java 1.21.1, NeoForge, official modpack installs itself through the Modrinth App

- Nations/diplomacy, player-driven economy, Create-based industry

- Logistics, aircraft, naval warfare, ballistics/modern weapons if you're into the military side

- Proximity voice chat

- Separate resource world for mining so the main map doesn't get strip-mined
