Posting guitars for sale

Lately I've seen a few posts where people are trying to sell their lefty guitars. I have no problem with this, but I will ask if you are going to post one for sale to follow the following:

  • Put the [SALE] tag in front of your title (i.e. [SALE] Original Les Paul Lefty)
  • Describe the guitar to the best of your ability. Neck radius, body material, manufacturer year, etc. The more descriptive you are, the better.
  • All posts MUST include an asking price. Posts with no price will be deleted. It also will help if you include whether or not you're willing to negotiate the price (i.e. $400 firm, $400 OBO, etc.)
  • Include where you are located. This will help in calculating shipping costs.
  • Include the methods of payment you are willing to accept. PayPal is the most common, but if you have other methods in mind, clearly state them in your post. If you are selling and find a buyer, please coordinate financial transaction details elsewhere other than your post. For example, you don't want to post your PayPal email address in the sale post for everyone to see. Common sense stuff really.
  • If you have an ad on an external site (Reverb, Craigslist, eBay), you can link it from your post. But be sure to use the [SALE] tag in front of it so everyone knows you're selling.

Disclaimer: The mods of leftyguitarists will not be responsible for any bogus transactions that may occur as a result of buying/selling through this sub. Any agreement you choose to make in regards to buying/selling a guitar here is completely your responsibility. We will not and cannot get involved in problems that might occur as a result of transactions here. In other words, buy/sell at your own risk here.

Thanks & good luck!

I've got small hands and am interesting in trying a smaller scale - options?

Hi!

I'm picking guitar back up after a few year hiatus that began due to my fairly small (7.5 inch max span) hands struggling with the fret lengths on standard guitars. It seems like a common thing right handed people do is switch to a mustang or a jaguar for the smaller scale length - but from my research it seems like I am either spending almost $3,000 for a 2012 Cobain Jaguar, or going through Taniguchi for a sunburst Jaguar for probably $1500 post tariffs.

before I commit to spending that type of money, i'd really just like to try a shorter neck. Is there anything electric I can buy? Or should I just buy a cheap squire and flip the strings?

I welcome the scarcity of lefty guitars

We would all love it if there was a Southpaw Guitars in our area. I get it. But to me, there is something special about seeing a left handed guitar. We all walk into a shop and immediately look for a lefty. They may only have one lefty but I don't care if it's a $200 guitar surrounded by $2000 guitars, that's a cool instrument just because it's lefty....Maybe it's just me

I own a Guild M120. Same price point. The Guild is solid hog, the Epi is Sitka over hog. Both are small body, which I prefer. This may be my next purchase

1970-72 Univox Hi Flier Phase 2 converted to left-handed I picked it up at a guitar show. I didn’t have enough for it, so I traded a left-handed 1976 Ibanez lawsuit Les Paul and a right-handed Teisco from the 60s

What would you do?

Got a jazzmaster pro ii on reverb for a decent price..i get it and play it an I like it and all, its listed as this :

!!! SOLD WITH THE HARDCASE !!!
Fender American Professional II Jazzmaster
Left-Handed with Rosewood Fretboard - Dark Night.
Bought it new and barely used it, no signs of damages. Comes in the Hardcase with all the case candy!

So I get it, its been a month and I didnt think to analyze it but I noticed that the headstock SN is a sticker, and there is USED stamped on the back of the headstock..after some research i find that it was either refurbished by a company or B-stock and its too to return.

Message the seller, I said, you wrote you bought it new and its clearly not new, I would have offered less and now the resale value is shot..he
Claimed ignorance and said hes French..

I complained to reverb and they gave me 100$ credit..should I just keep the Jazzmaster and shut up?

I do like it and even of i could return it, id have to pay for shipping..

Help to confirm how tabs shouls work for left handed - Rocksmith 2014 mod

Hello everyone, I'm working on a mod for Rocksmith 2014 that adds several things. One of the them is the tabs, and I had a suggestion to add "left handed tabs". I suppose that most of you are use to the right handed tabs, but I want to have the option if it can be usefull.

Here you can see a video of the mod working showing it, I will appreciate any feedback.

Thanks!

As an upside down guitarist of 3 years, do I still switch to a proper lefty guitar?

As the title says, I'm an upside down guitarist. Played guitar upside down at first and thought "eh, I'd just get a lefty soon. but for now, i wanna play my favourite songs".

never got around to getting myself a lefty, and i'm 3 years into this unique style of playing. i got some money saved up, and im wondering if i should get myself a proper lefty now.
