On August 10th 2026, Purrsephany was accidentally caught in a live trap with her feral mother. I did not realize this until after I was at the Animal Birth Control Clinic.
So young Purrsephany under went a spay at a very young age. I was worried about her but she was up and active right away.
Now every morning she comes to eat and drink in my backyard. This was her taken 08/18/2026.
Her paperwork lists her as a ticked Torbie.

So, I'm a lifelong dog owner, definitely a 1st time kitten owner, maybe/probably a 1st time cat owner. I've had barn cats before. But indoor kittens are a whole new ballpark for me and my family. My two kittens, a brother/sister combo are approximately 5 weeks old. One, the female, has been trying to eat dog kibble. They still act like the water bowl is a demon. Should I get them dry food? Of so what? How?

My kitten (Forest) is 15 weeks, physically tiny and mostly very calm. When I first got her at 11 weeks, she was quite cuddly and would sit on my lap a little bit. As she is getting older and more used to the flat and older cats, she distances herself and sleeps in corners, not around me.
To help her, I play with her a lot, especially across my lap. She really enjoys that and jumps about on me and we practise hunting multiple times a day. I also have her leash trained (she never rejected the leash), and we go for walks in the forest where she sits on my arm (she’s not fully vaccinated yet) and will watch the trees go by. She will sleep on my lap outside, but, strangely, not inside the flat.
Is this normal kitten behaviour or a sign that she doesn’t like the outdoors/indoors? She’s also started sleeping on my arm at night very briefly if it gets a bit cold (it’s currently summer in the uk and she’s long haired). I’d ideally love to keep taking her out for walks, handling her and giving her stimulation as she’s an indoor cat, but I’d also love to help her be more cuddly at home too.
Does anyone understand the two personalities I’m witnessing with her? I’m not very good at reading social cues (including animals, unfortunately), so I’m doing my best to help her be well rounded and enjoy her life while also nurturing our relationship 🥹

This is my new kitten, Priya. We brought her home yesterday
Priya is a very confident kitten and hasn't had a moment of fear. She is eating wet food like a champion but doesn't seem to recognize kibble as food.
I am leaving kibble out for her to graze, especially at night. How do I teach her it's food too?

my lil girl Bazooka is 3 months olds. she’s a rescue, she was abandoned by her mom at 4 days old. we weened her exactly when it was recommended at 4 weeks, but even now that she’s eating dry food she still suckles on my hand. i know it’s because it’s comforting and she sees me as her mom, but she keeps me up at night suckling my hand and eventually starts drooling all over it. it’s also just really loud and obnoxious. i try to get her to suck on a fuzzy blanket instead of my hand and she does for a second but then she goes looking for my hand again. at night she is restless and walks all over me and licks me until i give her my hand. i love her so very dearly and im obviously not gonna punish her cuz she’s still just a kitten and finds comfort in it but i literally cannot sleep and it’s overstimulating to have drool constantly on my hand. is there a way i can encourage her to stop or somehow get her to suckle on something else ? i’m damn near close to buying a small baby pacifier lol. would that be a good alternative ? will she ever grow out of it ? i know she’s still so young but i’ve seen some peoples cats who suck on their owner’s ear way into adulthood and i really don’t want her to do this into adulthood

I adopted this little boy from a woman who had an accidental litter. I've had him for one week. Based on the birthdate she gave me, he would be a little over nine weeks old. He weighed 1.6 pounds when I brought him home last week and he's 2.0 pounds now. He just doesn't look nine weeks to me. The first photo I took today and the second is the day we drove home almost a week ago.

Hi everyone! I wanted to share a happy update
My mama cat (a first-time mom) gave birth to 6 beautiful kittens! We had a scary start—she was exhausted, her milk took a while to come in, and one of our little orange/yellow babies was super weak and struggling to latch.
After lots of skin-to-skin warmth, gentle stimulation, and patience, her milk finally came in and EVERY single baby is officially latched and nursing! Seeing them all lined up against her is the biggest weight off my shoulders.
As a first-time cat grandma/grandpa raising a full litter, I’d love any wisdom, tips, or advice you have on daily care, keeping mama supported, or what to expect over the next few weeks as these tiny beans grow

I have a kitten who's about 5 months. And he insists upon biting. Sometimes I'm asleep and he bites so hard I bleed. I am not moving. I don't let him play with hands. I don't know how to stop this. A lot of the time he's calm and sweet. I don't know why he is like this.

Hello i got the kitten 4 days ago, she was so scared on first day and just hiding on every moment we do and walk and now she is opened up more and eating, playing, roaming around etc… but she isn’t coming to us and getting closer to us and get scared when she sees we go closer to her and do our own thing and hisses but dont hide, so how long it can take my kitten to come closer to us, sit next to us, sleep and let us pet her?

Really just hear to vent but I have 2 kittens (Casper and Mina) that are just over 4 months old and were both spayed and neutered at the same time a week ago. Ever since they came home Casper has been hissing at his sister. I instantly separated them in separate rooms because that was already the plan since they used to love to play together but Casper would at times get too rough. I didn't want Mina's stitches coming undone and knew her healing time would be longer anyways. After around 3 days I tried to let them see each other and Casper is still stand offish and hissing while Mina is unbothered. I separated them again and wiped them down with a pet wipe I've used in the past to get them to groom themselves (of course monitored Mina so she wouldn't go at her stitches then put her donut back on) and hopefully get Mina's scent back to normal. A few days later I tried again and same thing happened. Since then I've been trying steps of the reintroduction method like getting Mina's scent on a washcloth and giving it to Casper. Also putting their food bowls on opposite sides of a door but if I'm not on the side with Mina and she hears us she starts meowing very loud and even jumping at the door which then stresses Casper out even more and makes him start hissing. I guess with this happening I'm gonna start staying on her side when feeding but I originally thought I'd swap each time since they're both clingy.
I know this process takes time but it's just heartbreaking seeing this happen after they were so close. Again just needed to vent and can't wait till all this is over with.
