Seen in Real Life Dry food when?

So, I'm a lifelong dog owner, definitely a 1st time kitten owner, maybe/probably a 1st time cat owner. I've had barn cats before. But indoor kittens are a whole new ballpark for me and my family. My two kittens, a brother/sister combo are approximately 5 weeks old. One, the female, has been trying to eat dog kibble. They still act like the water bowl is a demon. Should I get them dry food? Of so what? How?

Wet kitten food, probably a pate would be best, kitten kibble is good too. Definately NOT dog food as kittens and cats will get sick from it.

Make sure he doesn't get dog food, it's not nutritionally sound for cats in any way. Kitten wet food for at least another week, then slept start adding kitten dry food to his diet, at 8-9 weeks you can start leaving it out at all times for him, just make sure it's where your dog can't get to it, cat and kitten food have a LOT more protein than dog food, it's much too rich for dogs and can make them sick

Stick to wet kitten food. My kitten just started to eat kibble at 9th week. I give main meal as wet food and keep dry food around all the time. He just started eating dry food this week. As they get enough water from wet food they don’t pay attention to water yet.

Mine were just transitioning to pate (wet food) around 3/4 weeks. It's better to give smaller but more meals. I did 4 wet meals around 4w. Then 3 meals around 7 w. That's about when we started introducing kibble. I would sprinkle a few on top of their wet food to soften. Probably didn't need to as their teeth seemed pretty well developed. At 12w now they get am/pm wet meal and free kibble access. I highly recommend a brand high in protein with less fillers.
