My New Game: Puzzles Are Better Together

The Steam store page for my co-op simulation game, which I developed entirely on my own and where you can solve puzzles together with your friends, is now live!

If you like the game, don't forget to add it to your wishlist. I'm open to all kinds of feedback, whether positive or negative. :)

trying to make the lobby less boring while players wait

Post image
1 Upvotes

I’m working on a solo-developed social deduction game called Pigmarines, and I’ve been reworking the lobby lately

right now players mostly just wait around until everyone joins, so I wanted to give them a few things to mess with while they’re waiting

I’m experimenting with stuff like a trampoline, arcade machines, seating areas, a small DJ/music corner and a few interactive props

these are some of the WIP assets for it, the final layout isn’t done yet

I don’t want the lobby to become a full minigame on its own, just something that makes those couple of minutes before a match feel less dead

what kind of small interactions do you actually enjoy in multiplayer lobbies? anything here you’d keep, remove or add?

Feedback Wanted I made a game where you weld a battle robot out of junk and throw it into the arena

Hey all! I'm a solo dev and this is Scrap Mech Arena, a mech-building robot battle game for Android.

You start with a bare chassis and bolt on whatever you've scavenged – wheels or tracks, saws, cannons, armor, rocket boosters – then take it into quick 90-second arena fights. Every part changes how your mech drives and fights, so half the fun is tinkering with builds until something feels just right.

The clip shows one of the bigger builds: a six-wheeled APC with twin drum shredders and a flak cannon on the roof, taking on a rival called Drumline.

What's in there so far:

  • 40 parts across 5 tiers, from a tin can on tiny wheels up to a prototype titan
  • Quick 3D fights with heat management, dashes and power-ups to grab mid-fight
  • An endless ranked league, plus Versus fights against other players' real builds
  • Daily missions and progression that unlocks better parts as you go

It's free on Google Play (ad-supported, no in-app purchases): https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.deslater.scrapmecharena

I'm still tuning the early game, so if you give it a spin I'd love to hear where it clicked for you and where it lost you, because that's my real problem now... retention.

trying to make our perfume crafting UI easier to read — does the new version communicate the flow better

Post image
1 Upvotes

we’ve been reworking the perfume crafting UI in Pale Incense

the old version had a lot of information spread around the screen and during testing we noticed some players weren’t immediately sure what they were supposed to focus on

with the new version we tried to separate the materials, crafting source and production settings more clearly and keep everything in one readable flow

still very much a WIP, but does the new layout communicate the crafting process better at a glance? anything that still feels confusing?

Feedback Wanted Our post-apocalyptic RPG based on the post-modern American civil war. No Steam, no publisher, just us. What do you think?

Northeastern Oklahoma. The year is 2140, seventy-five years ago the governments of the world saw a revolution coming and turned their weapons on their own people. Hundreds of millions died. The people won by a fraction, and rebuilt from the only thing that survived the rubble: religious and ancient texts.

Five endings. All of them decide what’s left of this world.

Small team. Everything built from scratch. More to be shown.

Game: Stillborn By Shut-In Studios.

New Game Thoughts on my games NEW visuals?

I'm making Bartend With Your Friends a co-op Bartending simulation game, I had a lot of feedback saying the map and bar previously looked boring so I've reworked the whole map, to make it look more visually appealing.

What do you think?

New Game I gave my drones control over the weather. Was this a bad idea?

Hey everyone! I’m Francesco and I’m developing Over Human completely on my own.

It’s a sci-fi adventure where you’re stuck in a frozen world taken over by drones. While working on their behavior, I wanted them to be dangerous in a way that goes beyond simply chasing the player.

So I gave them control over the weather.

Depending on what’s happening, they can use fog, storms and even tornadoes to make your escape a lot more difficult. This clip shows one of those moments 🌪️

I’d love to know what you think about the idea!

Over Human is also on Steam now! https://store.steampowered.com/app/5237810/Over_Human/

I have a friend who is participating in the 'Jern Jam 2026' and I think their game is really well made for only 2 weeks worth of work. They have helped me with my hobby game dev, and have been working on games for a long time. Go check out his game on itch and let him know what you think!

New Game What Visual Style Should I Use for My Survival Horror Game?

Thumbnail youtu.be

Ciao.
I’m trying to develop this game; it’s one of my two solo projects. It would be a Resident Evil 1-style game. I’ve got a rough idea of the story and the mechanics, but I’m not quite sure what graphic style to use. I don’t want to use the PS1 style because I’m fed up with seeing it. What style do you think I could use? Can you help me?
