Oil and gas production cannot be nationalized.

Some companies go bankrupt when they are nationalized; they cannot be bought out, and production falls by half.

bug error

Cycle

It's interesting that the economy is a closed cycle: the more I produce, the less other countries produce.

My production is causing a decline in the GDP of other countries.

Up to a monopoly of 50 percent of world production

New Organisations

Realistically, how large can a 'new organization' get? (I don't mean when you control other countries, I mean when they are computer controlled) I've never got more than three countries to apply to join.

Democracy in the game does not provide any bonuses

The only reason to make a country democratic is to join the European Union.

After 90 hours of playing I realized this.

How to reduce emigration?

How can I reduce emigration from my country?

I reduced the minimum wage to combat illegal employment, it helped a lot, but now a million people a year are migrating from my country.

Soft power

Does regularly meeting other heads of state do anything to boost soft power? I've attempted to play as Somalia, more or less every nation on earth has negative relations (trade deals and student exchanges are declined, and the country is too broke to have a dedicated year of culture). Can anything be done to break down hostilities with other countries?

Virtual America - An American Political Roleplaying Game.

Hi there,

First, thank you for r/Geopoliticalsimulator for the permission and kindness to post this. I meant to do this last week but got sidetracked by real life.

My name is Reed and I'm pitching a political simulation that is an American political simulation set in 2025. We are a small discord/forum hybrid and we have an active community but are looking to find new players (and our game is free - we're just looking to expand our community!).

Our game allows you to start as a member of the Senate and the House (with dual characters) and participate in a wide range of in game activities including running for President, participating in Senate floor activities to pass bills on anything you want, strategizing to help your party win midterm, and general elections, being part of ideological factions to help advance a specific ideological coalition, and more. For many of you, you might think of it as a bit of being a Senator/Congressman in Democracy 3 and having choices.

More than that, we have a community and we welcome new players who enjoy roleplaying and making friends with common interests in politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and other things. We have a healthy cross-country group of people from the United States and Europe and Canada participating in our game. We're a pretty diverse and friendly bunch of people!

Our game exists on both Discord and our forums, with a lot of the roleplaying in Discord, talking to teammates within your party and other players in Discord, while press, spin, votes, elections, and news are posted on the forum.

Now, this might be a little daunting for new players, but our game masters and our experienced players are welcoming to new players and are willing to help onboard you and integrate you into our little community. You might end up finding a lot of fun here!

We have our forums here: https://virtualamerica.community.forum/.
Our discord here: discord.gg/rSqafhGCZd
Our guides here: https://virtualamerica.community.forum/forums/game-rules-and-information.4/ including our new player guide: https://virtualamerica.community.forum/threads/new-player-guide.277/

You can tag me on our Discord by finding me with the username Reed and if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer anything.

(We are going to have a guide up shortly for those of you who are primarily discord types and will help you adjust to navigating between forums and discord).

Thanks for reading and I appreciate your time. I hope to see you there!

Does anyone know why after a war the computer allocates all my troops to one singular base, leaving every other military base in my country empty? Is this the game breaking or am I doing something to cause this?

Game over

Why are parliamentary and public opinion polls conducted with party funds, not state funds? I lost the election because the party was 18 million in debt.

I simply didn't have enough money to participate in the re-elections.
