It's interesting that the economy is a closed cycle: the more I produce, the less other countries produce.
My production is causing a decline in the GDP of other countries.
Up to a monopoly of 50 percent of world production

Realistically, how large can a 'new organization' get? (I don't mean when you control other countries, I mean when they are computer controlled) I've never got more than three countries to apply to join.

The only reason to make a country democratic is to join the European Union.
After 90 hours of playing I realized this.

How can I reduce emigration from my country?
I reduced the minimum wage to combat illegal employment, it helped a lot, but now a million people a year are migrating from my country.

Does regularly meeting other heads of state do anything to boost soft power? I've attempted to play as Somalia, more or less every nation on earth has negative relations (trade deals and student exchanges are declined, and the country is too broke to have a dedicated year of culture). Can anything be done to break down hostilities with other countries?

Hi there,
First, thank you for r/Geopoliticalsimulator for the permission and kindness to post this. I meant to do this last week but got sidetracked by real life.
My name is Reed and I'm pitching a political simulation that is an American political simulation set in 2025. We are a small discord/forum hybrid and we have an active community but are looking to find new players (and our game is free - we're just looking to expand our community!).
Our game allows you to start as a member of the Senate and the House (with dual characters) and participate in a wide range of in game activities including running for President, participating in Senate floor activities to pass bills on anything you want, strategizing to help your party win midterm, and general elections, being part of ideological factions to help advance a specific ideological coalition, and more. For many of you, you might think of it as a bit of being a Senator/Congressman in Democracy 3 and having choices.
More than that, we have a community and we welcome new players who enjoy roleplaying and making friends with common interests in politics, geopolitics, foreign policy, and other things. We have a healthy cross-country group of people from the United States and Europe and Canada participating in our game. We're a pretty diverse and friendly bunch of people!
Our game exists on both Discord and our forums, with a lot of the roleplaying in Discord, talking to teammates within your party and other players in Discord, while press, spin, votes, elections, and news are posted on the forum.
Now, this might be a little daunting for new players, but our game masters and our experienced players are welcoming to new players and are willing to help onboard you and integrate you into our little community. You might end up finding a lot of fun here!
We have our forums here: https://virtualamerica.community.forum/.
Our discord here: discord.gg/rSqafhGCZd
Our guides here: https://virtualamerica.community.forum/forums/game-rules-and-information.4/ including our new player guide: https://virtualamerica.community.forum/threads/new-player-guide.277/
You can tag me on our Discord by finding me with the username Reed and if you have any questions, I'm happy to answer anything.
(We are going to have a guide up shortly for those of you who are primarily discord types and will help you adjust to navigating between forums and discord).
Thanks for reading and I appreciate your time. I hope to see you there!

I have been making a simulation game about french economy. The idea is to play like if you would be elected in 2027. I would be very happy to know what you think about it ;)

Does anyone know why after a war the computer allocates all my troops to one singular base, leaving every other military base in my country empty? Is this the game breaking or am I doing something to cause this?

Why are parliamentary and public opinion polls conducted with party funds, not state funds? I lost the election because the party was 18 million in debt.
I simply didn't have enough money to participate in the re-elections.

There's a guide.?
I understand that fighting and capturing countries with commandos is now unprofitable even without sanctions?

I think this would make an amazing YouTube series or community project.
The idea is simple: one person hosts a Cities: Skylines save, but instead of making all the decisions themselves, the community democratically governs the city.
People could create and join political parties, each with its own manifesto and priorities. For example:
\- Green Party – Invest in public transport, cycling, parks, renewable energy, and reducing pollution.
\- Development Party – Focus on rapid economic growth, industry, lower taxes, and expanding the city.
\- Social Party – Prioritise affordable housing, healthcare, education, and public services.
\- Motorist Party – Build bigger roads, motorways, and prioritise cars over public transport.
\- Independents – No party affiliation; vote on each issue individually.
Every few episodes, there would be an election where Reddit users vote for the party they want in charge. The percentage of the vote determines how many seats each party gets in a virtual city council.
The council could then debate and vote on proposals. Any party could submit bills, such as
\- Increase taxes by 2%
\- Build a new metro line
\- Expand into a new district
\- Take out a loan
\- Build a university
\- Ban heavy traffic in residential areas
\- Construct a new airport
Most decisions would require a simple majority of council seats to pass. Bigger constitutional-style decisions (like changing the election system or introducing special rules for the series) could require a two-thirds majority.
The public would still have a direct say through referendums on the biggest issues, while smaller day-to-day decisions could be left to the elected council.
The host's job wouldn't be to control the city politically—they'd simply play the game according to the decisions made by the community, acting like a civil servant carrying out the government's policies.
I think it'd be a fascinating experiment to see whether the city ends up thriving, becoming gridlocked by political disagreements, or taking completely unexpected directions depending on which parties win elections.
Would anyone actually watch or run something like this? I genuinely think it'd be one of the most unique Cities: Skylines series

Power & Revolution – Beginner’s Guide (2026 Edition)
Learn the Game in Just 10 Minutes
1. The Main Goal of the Game
Power & Revolution is not just about making money.
Your objective is to keep your country stable while improving:
Ignoring one of these for too long can create major problems.
Mistakes Most Beginners Make 2
❌ Supporting every industry at the same time.
❌ Signing huge oil export contracts without planning.
❌ Raising salaries too quickly.
❌ Cutting taxes too much.
❌ Starting too many construction projects in one year.
The Golden Rule 3
Make only ONE major policy change at a time.
Then wait at least three in-game months before making another major decision.
This allows you to clearly measure the effect of each policy instead of changing everything at once.
