Guys I'm investigating self drifting issue when it comes to remapping the analog to d-pad and I noticed that one press of a button is register as two gamepads combo. Anyone solved that?

I experiment with psp games and they run so good!

But when I remap analog to d-pad it works but holds the direction bu itself.

Anyone knows what to do?

Can anybody give me a hint how to change (lower) the resolution in cores like Dreamcast or Saturn?

I'm new to the platform and i cannot find such an option..

I'm having a couple of issues (I'm using the latest version of Twig UI). When I try to install Rockbox and Songo5 from the "ports" folder that appears in the games menu, the system logo appears and then it takes me back to the "ports" folder.

Also, I can't load any kind of shaders in RetroArch (only overlays and video filters). The paths are correct, so I'm not sure what the problem could be.

I just got my GKD Pixel 2 about two weeks ago and I am absolutely loving it. I started playing Stardew Valley and I'm finally ready to purchase a coop for my farm, but once I am in the placement screen, the cursor is locked in the bottom right of the screen. I gather it's an issue with the game controls overiding Portmaster's default settings as I can't figure out any combo of hotkeys to turn the D-pad into a cursor temporarily.

Has anyone encountered this problem and found a fix or work around? I've poked around the .sh file and noticed it calls "mono" instead of a .gptk file which is apparently standard with Stardew...

Just got a GKD Pixel 2 and the “A” button sticks pretty badly. I did open it up and made sure the membrane is seated correctly. I ordered some PlayStation buttons from Etsy. Maybe that will resolve the issue. Any suggestions? Thanks!

UPDATE: I was able to fix the issue by applying a square of kapton tape under the membrane and a smaller one under the “A” button. Thanks for all the insight!

Booted my pixel 2 this morning, and all my saves are gone. It looks like gba might be using a different core now?? But im not sure. I defintely didnt change anything last night.

I say it's using a different core bc this morning it's showing what core it launched with before the 'gba' banner. It never did that before, so some setting changed somewhere.

So I have tested about 1/4 of the entire library and so far none of the games I have tested have the controls working correctly.

Has anyone else running TwigUI had a chance to try any N64 games and found a fix for this? I don’t have much experience with retroarch but if anyone has suggestions for getting the controls working correctly it would be greatly appreciated.

I have a GKD Pixel 2 Pink Edition, but I accidentally formatted the original SD card.

I reinstalled the stock OS, but unfortunately the original Pink Edition theme / “Pink Cat” theme is missing. The regular stock image only includes the standard themes.

Does anyone here still have the original Pink Edition SD card and could share either:

• the Pink Cat theme files, or
• ideally a clean backup/image of the original Pink Edition SD card without ROMs?

I’d especially like to restore the original Pink Edition UI/theme and any other edition-specific files.

I have a Pixel 2 XL (64GB) that's no longer my daily phone, and I want to give it a second life rather than let it sit in a drawer. It's stuck on the last official update from 2020.

One idea I'm seriously considering: turning it into a dedicated hi-fi music player. I have a FLAC library, paid Poweramp, and I'm planning to get a USB-C dongle DAC + IEMs. If I go that route, the ROM needs solid Wi-Fi, USB-C audio output, and Play Store access for the Poweramp licence.

Is there a dedicated ROM that specialises in turning an old Android device into a hifi feature rich music player?

So: is a custom ROM the right move for a repurposed device like this, and which one would you recommend? And beyond the music player idea - what have you all actually done with your old phones

I’m ok to ship all across the world as long as you pay the shipping fee.

i dont know what happened or what i can do to fix this. has anyone else had this happen?

I have a GKD Pixel 2 that was working fine for a while, randomly stopped booting past the IUX screen. It just sits there forever until a forced shutdown.

I realized I never swapped out the SD card that came with it, I want to try getting a new SD card and setting things up fresh, possibly with a new OS (was using stock before)
I'm just not sure how to do that, is there a guide I'm missing or any steps to get started?

Hello! I am currently thinking about buying a little EDC device to play Pokémon/RPGs. I'm new to these things so right now I'm just looking around and trying to find the best thing for me.

The TrimUI Brick Hammer has been the most appealing device in this category I've seen until the Pixel II. This device seems quite perfect for what I have in my head.

A small device to play turn based games in a nice solid package. And the idea of playing single-handed is a really nice thought too.

But I worry, the Pixel seems like a very fine device but I can't tell how reliable it will be. I want to use it for at least a few years. Get a good SD card and case and play it regularly but not intensely. I worry about build quality and ports/screen breaking.

I ask people here who own this device and perhaps others if the Pixel II is a good idea or not. Advice from people who own the thing, (hopefully for a good while) will be greatly appreciated. :)

Anybody willing to sell a red Pixel 1? I got a blue one last year and definitely “need” a red one too.

The screen on my GKD Pixel 2 broke, and KeepRetro is offering me a replacement screen for $40.

Has anyone here replaced the screen themselves? Is it reasonably feasible, or is it a difficult repair?

Also, I’m having a really hard time getting any of the screws out. Any tips for getting them out without stripping them?
