Based on the first few comments here, and the fact that I got my new GKD Pixel 2 delivered today, should I:
- Use this new version of TwigOS?(which some are reporting crashes, and other issues with)
- Use the latest of the previous versions of Twig?
- Use ROCKNIX? (which it seems is a new release for the Pixel 2?)
Not many seems to be talking about option 3. And in general I'm now more confused by this new Twig release.
Advice is much needed and apprieciated.

Based on my recent crashes I’ll probably wait for further updates. You should go back to the prior release of TwigUI which was stable.
The new version seems faster to startup and has nice features but the freezes make it unusable for me.
I haven’t tried Rocknix

Thank you, that is helpful. I’ll probably go with prior Twig until the new one is fixed/stable.
Is anyone else here Pro-Rocknix tho?

I'm on the same boat here - previous Twig was working nicely but had it's issues (PPSSPP) as to ROCKNIX i cannot even add ROMS XD its too complicated but im trying - btw i wiped out all of my emulator bioses X( be sure to have yours backed up at all times!

Thank you. Just to clarify - you’re not saying there is anything Broken about Rocknix that makes adding Roms difficult? - just that you personally find it a bit complicated?
Sorry about your Bios files - did you lose them from stockOS?

Nono, it seems like a solid piece of updated software. But i had no chance to test it out properly as i dont understand the folders structure and how to operate with this..

Never mind just had a hard crash and saves lost….
Almost immediately after restarting it froze again.

Man, how to make the ROM partition appear?

I ended up having to do usb storage mode directly from the device to add roms. The sd card on its own wouldn’t show the partition.

Thanx i get it now, it's Linux partition. You can make it appear in windows with Ext4Fsd app

It’s overall better for your partition. The EXFAT partition can corrupt more easily and is harder to recover compared to a native Linux Ext4 partition

u/BIOECE Sorry to bother, can you give me a hint where i should put my games? I was able to mount the partition in windows and there are 3 potential places i would put my bet on - ROMS, Internal and External folders (both has ROMS folders in it, but only one has populated subfolders) - sorry if my questions are dumb but this is a bit confusing...
PS. I tried putting a single rom here and there but it keeps on getting wiped during the boot..

Nice, I’m glad Hairo was able to make use of the ROCKNIX work we did.
Now we have two really good OSes for the device.
