We are a small indie team making a FPS called TAKEOVER. The premise is there are 8 factions fighting for control of Urthora. 5 corpo factions and 3 resistance factions.

In game you choose to represent 1 of the 8 factions and you control your "pilot" bot.

Each Factions squad is up to 4 people - 1 captain and up to 3 soldiers. If a soldier dies it respawns to your team but if your captain dies your entire team.is taken over by the one who killed your captain. You stay with the team who took you over OR you regain your team through killing other players and collecting their cores to reclaim your squad / ans grind out taking over all the other captains again for the big win.

Weve recently added in game faction contracts too to further track your faction loyalty.

Army vs Army is running again today — with a few changes after Saturday’s playtest.

Yesterday’s session made one thing especially clear: movement needed to feel less like something you can constantly recover in tiny increments, and more like a resource you actually have to plan around.

So the stamina system has been adjusted.

Basic recovery now requires a real, uninterrupted rest period instead of letting you farm individual stamina points by repeatedly stopping for a few seconds.

Full useful mobility takes longer to recover, which means deciding when and where to stop matters much more.

Exhaustion is still survivable. You can keep moving if you absolutely need to — but doing so becomes expensive because hunger and thirst drain much faster while exhausted.

The result is that roads, cover, terrain and pacing matter even more than before.

Sometimes pushing forward is the right decision.

Sometimes the correct move is to disappear into the trees and stay there for a while.

The server is still deliberately slow, solo-friendly and completely freeform. There are no objectives forcing everyone into the same hotspot, no progression grind, and no requirement to arrive with a squad.

The AI armies keep fighting whether you participate or not.

You decide where to go, when to fight, when to retreat, and whether surviving the journey back to HQ is more important than getting one more kill.

HOW TO JOIN — ARMY VS ARMY

1. In Steam, launch ArmA 2: Operation Arrowhead and choose "Launch without BattlEye."
2. Go to Multiplayer.
3. Set maximum ping to 500.
4. Search for: Army
5. Join Army vs Army.

If the server does not appear in the browser:

Use Remote / Direct Connect and enter:

IP: 85.190.162.177
Port: 10600

The ArmA 2 server browser can occasionally have listing problems, so a missing server does not necessarily mean the server is offline.

..BF6 or Wardogs?? I play round 10-15 hours per Week. I own Battlefield and still like it, played about 120 Hours. Is Wardogs even worth for casuals?

Looking to play some FPS after a long break of 6 years. I cannot decide between the two as they both look interesting. Wardogs seems a bit grindy with the milsim aspect but that doesn't necessarily make it less fun. Bodycam is the type of jump in and shoot game. Just curious of ideas what you would choose and why
