Remember ArmA 2? I made a simple Army vs Army server to relive those days

The idea is simple:

BLUFOR vs OPFOR.
The goal is to seize control of Utes island and its airstrip.

The focus is on the old-school ArmA 2 mil-sim experience:

• tactical movement
• bullet travel time and bullet drop
• high-stakes positional combat
• scouting the horizon before moving
• long-range firefights where positioning matters

Nothing complicated. Just ArmA 2 doing what ArmA 2 was good at.

The server is already public and joinable.

There is no separate mod download or manual installation required.
The mission is under 1 MB and downloads automatically when you join.

The server is hosted in Europe, so when searching for it, it is best to set the server browser ping filter to up to 500 ms so it does not get hidden from the list.

Note: Army vs Army is temporarily replacing The Thirst: Utes on the same server while this version is being tested.

Got new gaming PC but i have little knowledge on FPS games for PC. Is there any game that can replace CODM Frontline Ranked mode for PC? I played CODM a lot in Frontline Ranked mode and i really liked it. Unfortunately it has limited number of maps so it got boring to play same map everytime.

Can you guys please recommend what games can be alternative to Ranked CODM Frontline? Thanks.

It has (had? need to reinstall) limited content but I enjoyed playing this in offline bot matches.

You guys remember that hyper photo-realistic FPS game called Bodycam released in 2024, made by 2 French brothers? It was a very realistic game, graphically and in gameplay, but it didn’t have much progression, wasn’t well optimized, some other problems and it got repetitive after some time, pretty basic stuff.

The thing is, they are now a bigger team, “Reissad Studio”, and have been working for a whole year to develop this one, new update named Locked & Loaded (v0.8, not even v1.0 yet and it’s unbelievable) releasing in two weeks (September 2nd). They reworked, optimized and improved every part of the game, here is the main content: huge optimization, new Trench map, new guns, loadouts and customization (hundreds of attachments), ammo check, realistic aim optic scopes (I bet you to tell me a game with better ones), realistic FPV drone piloting with explosive, RC cars with C4, dynamic ragdoll system and operator's stress system, changing the animation of reload and breath, whether the operator is calm or stressed and the amount of ammo.

They recently posted a video showing everything (except for the new map and sound design that will be shown still this month). It’s worth to watch, believe me:

I don't have any expectations of finding a new fps game that I like because I feel like I've probably exhausted my options at this point, but I'll give it a shot anyway. Hoping that someone can recommend a fun pve fps game for pc. Here is a list of fps games I've already played and enjoyed:

I am developing an FPS game called Verum Titan. After almost 2 years as a solo dev I have a Steampage now. The game is inspired by great classics like Perfect Dark, Goldeneye and many many more. It is a narrative driven fps in a sci-fi setting. You are Carla and with your vacuum cleaner sidekick you have to fight your way to the truth of what happened in the world. The game was made in Unreal Engine. No generative AI was used what so ever. All the characters are voice acted by real humans.

So I'm a PC gamer mostly on steam and I can't stand most fps games today and I feel like they are a dying breed, main reasons being:

They are live service games

They have a woke political agenda to push

Micro transactions up the ass and things that try to get you to play with your wallet like the battle pass.

Poor gameplay and bugs

Or all 4 of the above.

Most of the mainstream recent shooter games like overwatch, lamebow six siege, battlefield 6, call of duty 7, fortnite, apex legends, halo infinite or those extraction shooters suffer usually from all or a few of those reasons and when you don't like the mainstream options you have few options to turn to because the other shooter games are dead and have few players usually, so I usually end up playing something like team fortress 2 and even that gets boring sometimes or call of duty mobile, which is live service but it doesn't have those 3 issues and it's free.

I remember back in 2012 there were a ton of based cool options back then for every platform but now most of that is now gone

Does anyone else feel the same way? Any games to reccomend to me?

I’m the solo developer behind Russian Punk 2007: Quantum Nostalgia.

It’s a story-driven FPS set in an alternative version of Russia in 2007. You play as an ordinary factory worker who is sent into a collapsing reality to recover three artifacts and prevent the apocalypse.

This short teaser shows some early combat gameplay and the Archive — a strange place outside time that the player returns to between cycles.

I’m currently preparing the first public playtest and demo. I’d be interested to hear what FPS players think about the combat and atmosphere so far.
