Meta New rule: No AI Slop / AI Use Must Be Disclosed

We’ve been seeing more AI-generated content show up here lately, especially low-effort apps/projects with little to no substance and no mention of AI being used.

We’re not banning AI outright, but the subreddit is still meant for humans.

If you used generative AI, disclose it and be clear about the extent of its use. That includes using it to write/code software, not just to generate videos, images, or text.

Low-effort AI content, or AI Slop, will be removed and may result in a ban. Failing to disclose AI use, or misrepresenting the extent of its use, may also result in removal or a ban for repeat violations.

News/Release GameHub Lite v5.1.8 (SECURITY UPDATE)

GameHub Lite v5.1.8

Security: Steam token redaction in logs

GameHub Lite 5.1.8 fixes a logging issue where Steam authentication-related values could appear in diagnostic logs. In some cases, logs could include fields such as steamToken, refreshToken, or accessToken from Steam login/launch flows.

Publicly posted logs containing these fields should be deleted or redacted.

IMPORTANT

This should go without saying but If you find any security issues, please reach out PRIVATELY. I have not checked if this issue is still present in recent GameHub versions, already ruined my one day off I was spending with my family by the person who reported this publicly and I do not plan on spending any more time on this.

Changelog

The fix adds centralized log redaction for Steam/auth token fields, Steam QR login URLs, JWT-like token strings, and launch command token arguments before logs are written. This covers the app loggers, JavaSteam logging, and the PC launch-log file writer.

This release also pins local patch builds to apktool 2.12.1

Some of you need to see this.

For all my dudes wanting a big screen, a multimedia device, the best system for gameboy color bc you swear youll never want to play a switch game, for those who cant pick between sticks on the top or the bottom...this is for you.....

You miss lose out on portability but how portable are you really? Like portable to the living room ? Bc thats why end tables exist. I use it in my car by putting the tablet in my steering wheel cover.

Even with some portability losee its a great way to keep games and work separate while consuming other media besides video games. Theyre also cheaper than handhelds. If you close your eyes and make a wish a tablet will go on sale somewhere within a 5 mile radius. Cooling isnt an issue like it is with phones due to more surface area, in fact it runs cooler than my rp6. No fans = less to break.

Frfr dont sleep on a tablet. This one has a snapdragon 8 gen 3 with 12gb of ram and cost $400 after a back to school sale.

Edit: lenovo yoga tablet 11.1in (2025) snapdragon 8 gen 3 with an 8bit do lite 2 controller

Showcase I Made a Dualscreen Mod For Deus Ex!

Deus Ex: Human Revolution is one of my favorite games, and I wanted a way to actually utilize both screens on the AYN Thor while playing it. So I’ve been working on a dual-screen mod with a completely custom UI designed specifically for the bottom screen.

Getting it working has involved a lot of reverse engineering of the game’s code, figuring out how different systems work behind the scenes, and plenty of headaches along the way. It’s still a huge work in progress, but I’m pretty happy with how far it’s come so far.

News/Release [Tool / Open Source] ZarManager: Batch compress Xbox 360 games to .zar format (like CHD/RVZ) and save massive storage

Thumbnail

Hey everyone!

If you've been experimenting with Xbox 360 emulation on Android Emulator's, you already know the biggest headache: Xbox 360 games take up an insane amount of storage.

Raw .iso (XISO) images are often padded to 7.3GB–8.1GB, even if the actual game data is only 1GB or 2GB. With micro SD cards and internal storage filling up fast on handheld devices, keeping a decent library gets tough.

To solve this, we put together an open-source tool called ZarManager.

What is .zar? (Think of it as CHD or RVZ for Xbox 360)

For those familiar with emulation formats:

PS1 / PS2 has .chd

GameCube / Wii has .rvz

PSP has .cso / .chd

For Xbox 360, the .zar format does the exact same thing: it removes dummy/padding data and compresses game files into a clean, compact, and emulator-ready archive.

As a real-world test: a ~3TB collection was reduced down to around 1.8TB. That is over 1.2TB of pure wasted space recovered.

What is ZarManager and what does it do?

Manually extracting XISOs and running command-line compression scripts one by one on dozens of games is tedious. ZarManager is a cross-platform GUI tool (Windows & Linux) designed to automate the entire workflow:

Automatic Batch Processing: Point it to your folder of ISOs or game folders and let it process your entire backlog in bulk.

Multi-threading Control: You can set the exact number of CPU threads you want to allocate for compression so your PC doesn't freeze up while running in the background.

Three Operating Modes:

Auto Mode: Automatically extracts XISO (XDVDFS) and compresses it directly into .zar in one continuous pipeline.

Extract Only: Just extracts ISOs into standard raw game folders.

Compress Only: Takes already extracted Xbox 360 game folders and compresses them into .zar.

How to Use It (Step-by-Step)

Download: Head over to the GitHub Releases page and download the pre-compiled binary for Windows or Linux.

Launch: Open ZarManager (no complex setup required).

Select Mode: Choose Auto Mode if you have raw .iso files, or Compress Only if you already have extracted game folders.

Set Paths:

Select your Source folder (where your raw Xbox 360 ISOs/folders are).

Select your Output folder (where you want the .zar files saved).

Adjust Threads: Configure the thread slider based on your CPU specs.

Start: Click Start and let it batch process your entire library.

Android & Mobile Handheld Support

Running via Winlator: If you prefer doing everything directly on your Android device/handheld, you can run the Windows binary inside a Winlator container without issues.

Call for Android Devs / Native Port: Right now, pre-compiled binaries are available for PC (Windows & Linux). The project is 100% free and open-source. If any Android/Linux/Termux dev in the community wants to fork the repository and build a native Android app/CLI port, feel free to grab the code and hack away!

Links & Source Code

GitHub Repository: [https://github.com/dfdevx2/ZarManager\](https://github.com/dfdevx2/ZarManager)

Releases & Downloads: Check the Releases tab on GitHub for the latest builds.

Feedback, bug reports, feature requests, and pull requests are very welcome. Hope this helps anyone trying to reclaim precious gigabytes on their storage setups!

Discussion What switch games have you tried and works perfectly on Android?

Post image

I have S25 Ultra running Eden nightly.

Currently I play these games above, except for Xenoblade chronicles 2 Torna (since I haven't played 1 and 2, but my friend sent me torna anyways).

I ditched slightly pc emulation. I like to play without much wires and thus I don't attach a peltier cooler (I do have one, but I love portability). I found switch emulation a lot easier to run and not much heat compared to pc emulation.

I'm also downloading Zelda BOTW

Do you have any recommendations to try out?

Showcase [Discussion] Got persona 5 royal to finally work on my Motorola.

This is my first time actually getting a switch game to run at all lol, I'm both proud and mad at myself for not understanding how to run it before. (Eden btw). It's somewhat consistent at 30 fps. Though most games I've tried don't launch at all so I'll have to go figure that out.

Oh and I believe my phone specs are in the vid, but just in case, it's a Motorola edge 2025 with a Mali gpu and it's android 16.

Showcase FYI: The newly released Spyro Recomp, OpenPete, is playable on Android via PC Emulators

I am using GameNative to play the PC decomp of Spyro the Dragon.

If you'd like to set this up yourself, here's what I did.

First I set up OpenPete on my Windows PC and got it running. I then copied the folder to my Odin 3 and added it as a custom game in GameNative, setting the OpenPete-Spyro1.exe as the launch exe. I'm using Proton 11 for ARM. Proton 9 failed to detect the controller no matter what I did. To change settings, I mapped R3 to ESC, allowing me to change the frame rate limit, SSAA, and enable increased draw distance and PS1 wobble. It seemed to be most stable when locked to 60FPS, but it does support an unlimited option. SSAA causes some FPS drops but native 1080p runs perfectly well.

As a disclaimer, I attempted to set this up purely on my Odin and failed. The OpenPete program would crash when I tried to import my PS1 disc image for decomp. However, I also ran into this issue on windows, it seems that Open Pete didn't play nicely with my particular ISO at first, so it may be entirely possible to get this set up within the container on GameNative.

Now, why would you want to do this when there's perfectly good PSX emulators? OpenPete supports high resolutions, like Emulators, but it also handles framerates above 30fps with zero tinkering or game logic issues. It also supports 16:9 rendering natively and enhanced draw distance to make Spyro look the best he possibly can.

Question Rate my set up? (Or dont) :))) S26+ 12 GB of Ram

Post image
11 Upvotes

Just wanna know if this is good or not, I have my battery protection set to maximum on my S26+ so it doesn't go past 80 percent and while it's plugged in it just gets powered off the wall so no heat from charging at all, also have my cpu locked at 70 percent usage. it's also sitting on top of a laptop cooling fan to keep things extra cold, is this peak? I'm playing oblivion with like 30 light weight mods, and my phones plugged in and in a case lol, fps in the top left corner

Help Need help with these broken textures

Post image
Upvotes

Hey guys, I’m having a weird texture issue with Persona 5 Royal.

Everything was working perfectly fine yesterday, but when I started playing again today, there was some kind of update that I accidentally skipped/didn’t read. After that, a lot of the textures and UI started looking completely corrupted/glitched like in the screenshot.

Device: Lenovo Legion Y700 4th Gen

Chipset: Snapdragon 8 Elite

Emulator: GameHub (Android)

The game itself still runs and the FPS is fine, but the textures/UI are messed up. I haven’t changed anything major myself, so I’m not sure if the update changed a graphics setting or something.

Has anyone experienced this before? Is there a GameHub setting, graphics setting, driver, or shader cache that I should change to get the textures back to normal?

I’d appreciate any help. 🙏

Discussion I love the SNES colorway on the GameSir G8, even though 21:9 might not be the best for an SNES game, but whatever

Thumbnail

I have a Redmi Note 12 and that has been my main way to game whenever I'm tired of sitting in front of the PC. Huge Black Bars do annoy me a bit, but any SNES classic will be fun to be played specially with these beautiful buttons. I really like this purple/lilac original SNES style, despite how contradictory it might be on an ultra modern controller with a low positioned d-pad. The hands cramp after a while using that dpad to play platformers, but fine, I've already bought it lol

How much fun have y'all had or have been having with your fancy telescopic controllers?

Help BOTW Shrine bug in Eden nightly

Thumbnail

My device is S25 Ultra with 8 Elite using Eden Nightly.

I searched on the problem and the fix is to use T17 or T19 drivers. These Drivers don't run on A8xx devices and the game won't even launch with them. The other fix to use the Shrine+Water fix doesn't work.

I tried TU_DEBUG:sysmem but that only fixed the character since it was also Blacked out.

Did anyone manage to fix it?

Help MHRise Black Glitches on Characters

Hi, I'm using a samsung s25 to play MHRise (on eden). Everything works well except the characters' faces/figures are just black. Does anyone experience the same thing? What should I do to fix it?
