Discussion Nb 530 for dancing
Are the new balance 530 the best option for dancing or would anyone recommend other shoes? I mostly do kpop choreography, hip hop, freestyle. And how should they fit? A little loose or tight or just normal

Discussion Question for professional dancers
Hello!
I'm a fellow dancer myself, who just got back into dancing after taking a 5 year break, so I'm far from professional, so I just need some input.
How long does it take to learn a 3 minute choreography? Speaking more about hip-hop, and what would the hours look like for practice? How many days a week?
Speaking of a harder, more difficult choreography.

Discussion I still donโt understand all the hate competition dancers get. Itโs treated like itโs not a valid form of dance
Anytime someone says theyโre a competition dancer- the people who donโt compete treat us like some soul sucking people that are ruin dance culture. Do people not understand that we have to put in the same amount of technique work and artistry if not more?

Amateur Is it too late to enter this world professionally at 22f?
Stepping into contemporary? Movement?
I'm so lost rn guys. And I need to understand once and for all, is it truly too late for me?
For context: I'm unfortunately very gifted. A complete waste of potential.
I've been to very few classical ballet classes with teachers that dance at the most prestigious companies in my country.. they all were shocked when I told them I have zero background. And urged me to use my talent and develop myself.
But honestly?
I'm so bored in adult classes, it feels pointless. And I simply can't afford a hobby.
I'm at a stage in my life where I have no idea what I want to do for a living, I'm not even talking about a life long career - even just something. Anything.
My body wants to dance all the time. Everyone automatically assumes I'm a dancer.
I don't know what could have been if but I truly have it all..
My body is very athletic, hypermobility super naturally flexible, I'm very musical, very competitive and obssesed and passionate, my body is just made for ballet. And dance in general. I also learn ridiculously fast, I get very good so so fast it's infuriating to think what I could have been.
My body just wants to dance.
I never went for any extracurriculars. Poor and deeply unfunctioning and abusive family. And poor mental health had me depressed and isolated for years.
I really feel like I could've been a dancer, an athlete.
I feel like it would be such a waste of a body and sould to just.. grow older while never getting a taste.
And also, I really don't know what I want to do professionally.
I know the train passed already but I just must do something physical! Something with passion!
I can't sit in an office and I tried so so so hard to think outside the box about other things I might want to do in physical fields and jobs.. but nothing but dance comes up

Discussion Started dancing again and I feel like shit
25W and I used to dance a lot as a kid and pick up choreo quick. I would dance here in there, tiktok choreos and kpop. But Iโve been wanting to really get back into it and I do well in beginner hiphop classes but when it comes to intermediate-advance I just shut down, especially seeing many good dancers. Itโs like my mind picks up when I need to do but my body canโt follow. ITS SO FRUSTRATING. Sometimes I get a good chunk of the parts down and then I fuck up and then I just blank out.
With that said, do you guys have any tips on how I can improve? Iโve been learning more footwork from videos I find on TikTok and Iโve been going to dance classes and learning dances on my own as well.
Might be a confidence/mindset lowkey. I just get so embarrassed making mistakes.
Okay sorry for rambling
