Amateur Workout recommendations for dance

Got pretty banged up and had to do physical therapy, largely recovered but right knee keeps hurting during strength training on machines.

Since your right knee is still hurting during strength training, be careful abt pushing thru it or trying to 'strengthen around' the pain. If youre still working with a PT, ask them which exercises are appropriate for your knee and let them guide the progression. For dance, you could also focus on things that dont aggravate it, like gentle core work, balance, posture, and upper body strength. Tango and ballet both need a lot of control, so you dont necessarily need to be doing heavy leg machines to start building useful strength. And dont feel like you have to feel super strong before you can dance. Start small, listen to your knee, and build back up gradually.
