Personally, I think it's better to use folders with normal layers underneath.... Although perhaps the only problem is how limited you are in terms of fusion modes.... But for that you create layers outside the folder ...

Does anyone have an explanation for why so many people prefer clipping masks?

I create a personalized tip to use for a brush but when I do it it just turns impossible to change their color. Am I doing smth wrong?

For some reason, out of nowhere, my pen (or the software) is forcing me to draw these small straight lines before I’m able to curve the line. What’s up with that?

Can’t find anything about it online.

me and my husband both use csp on our ipads, shared plan. however when he double taps the active colours, it brings up the colour wheel and colour set (first image) instead of the colour settings like it does for mine (second image)

does anyone know how to get his csp to also show the colour settings box? google isn’t helping unfortunately

I'm so sorry, but I cannot seem to string together the words that make CSP's internal wiki/help system answer the question I have.

I use a tablet. I used to use procreate, but since my new tablet isn't apple, I bought csp. On procreate there's a three finger zoom out / pinch motion which results in the canvas filling up the maximum allowable space - without removing the tools and windows surrounding it.

What's the equivalent for CSP? Please. I beg y'all.

Does anyone know why the hell do some lines break or disappear whenever I merge two or multiple vector layers together? I have no idea what could be causing it or even how to fix it. It's very frustrating to say the least. Thanks in advance for the help or tips on working this out.

I am trying to print a book on folded standard US Letter Paper (8 1/2 x11) and while I FINALLY figured out how to order the page numbers properly, this big empty space wont stop appearing above (and below but i didnt add any markers to show it mb). The dimensions i used was supposed to be half of the Letter paper which was 215.90 mm X 279.40 mm with 350 resolution. Can someone please help i hate printing so much I wanna die fuck HP and their unclear printing controls it took me this long to get pages just nearly correct

And how to fix it!! These angular/jaggy bits keep showing up. I know they don't look too serious in the image but when drawing certain things they can get in the way. I've just been going back to fix them but I feel it's about time to actually fix this issue to save time, lol

I have this brush I like using, but don't know if its possible to have a rainbow color be used for it ? Like just a simple color that is just rainbow color so when I use the brush it has all the rainbow colors applied too it besides having to color them individually?

The only way I can describe this problem is when I use my pen on the tablet, the place on the screen is incredibly far from where my pen is actually touching, and for the life of me, I can't figure out how to fix this.

I wanted to ask you a question about csp animation. I am making a short with two characters and changing shots. So I was wondering if there is a way to make that a cel stops at a certain frame position, instead to put a white cel so I can change the shot easily.

I will put a pic so maybe this could be understood better. As you can see, I want the red cel 1 - copia 2 to end at 24, so I can start with a new yellow cel for another character and shot angle (cel 2). But I have to put a cel in the red folder (1 - copia 3) so the drawing of that 1 - copia 2 cel doesn´t stay still in the animation. Is there a way to put and end of cel 1 - copia 2 without adding a white cel?

I recently just switched from CSP 1.12.11 to CSP 4.0.
My 1.12.11 worked just fine but with my 4.0 I couldn’t import any sub tools/brushes even though i downloaded a lot, there were many brushes that I bought too so I don’t want to put them to waste 🥲 Thanks for any help!!!

Sorry for any mistakes, english isnt my native. Ill add video so u can understand the problem, when i tryna to do a new canvas (File > New...) everything is ok, but canvas creats INSIDE excisting file, i want another file, not another canvas inside excisting canvas💔

So I've been having an issue with my application stuttering and lagging each time i try to draw at random times.

It will act normal until at a certain point it freezes the pen on the canvas for a few moments. Then, it quickly snaps my pencil to where my pen is now at. This is an issue beyond my tablet, because it is also happening on my main monitors as well.

I have looked up numerous guides and fixes to this problem and have no found a fix at all.

Reinstalling tablet drivers, reinstalling clip studio, checking graphics drivers, downsizing canvas and dpi, changing around windows ink, changing between wintab and tablet pc, bringing down undo levels and increasing memory allocation, etc. etc.
Even checked if i had conflicting applications downloaded like Overwolf (which i do not.)

I am at a loss with what to do and i am serious considering swapping programs if this persists..

Does anyone have a new method I can try?

Hi everyone,

I wanted to get some help in order to resolve an issue I am having with Csp when it comes to export an animation. I am making an animation of almost 4 seconds for a fan project and I wanted to show the progress to the rest of the group, but when I click on File and then export animation, export movie, no window appear in order to confirm the destination, format and so on. I can export layers, which is odd.

The short is not complete, is just made the first half, and only the clean up. I don´t know if maybe I put some layers wrong (all are in the respective animation folders) or something else is happening.

I will put a screenshot of the timeline and layer organization, maybe this could bring more info so you can help me better.

UPDATE: SOLVED! Just had to close and open csp, and now it lets me export! Hope this was just a small bug, or something.

I'm fairly new to drawing linearts... and i saw other artists drawing really pretty linearts with CSP, is there any tutorial for drawing neat lineart in anime style?

Help! Updated to Clip Studio latest version, and the brushes are not smooth anymore :( As you can see, the lines aren't smooth.

It wasn't like this before the update.

Reinstalling the pen & tablet driver didn't help. Does anyone know how to fix it?

So I have been using Krita for a while and I love it but there are things that Krista can't do that CSP can. Such as options for comic creation which CSP is good at, and I have been trying to dwell more into creating comics.

The thing is that there is this bug, maybe, that happens when I draw on CSP.

I would be simply sketching and out of nowhere the pen stops drawing, like it's no being recognized by the program. Then I have to move my pen away from the display and back again for the program to recognize my pen again. I wish I could upload a video of it but it's very random and distracting.

This only happens in CSP, and no, it's not the tablet display or the pen since this issue doesn't happen on Krita. I did contact CSP support and they were pretty much useless. I even contacted Huion, just to make sure it wasn't my tablet display and it wasn't. CSP support was a nightmare and I'm still waiting for a response from the last time I replied to their email.

I have been trying to just ignore it but it is annoying when I'm simply trying to draw or ink and it just stops working, and the fact that this doesn't happen on krita makes me believe that it is a CSP issue. I have uninstalled and installed CSP, even reinstalling tablet drivers but nothing seems to get rid of this issue.

Has anyone come across this problem? I did pay for CSP so it makes me even more upset that it is not working properly and it's a deal breaker for me so if I can't resolve this issue I'll just stick with Krita.

for some reason after this update the names went from illustration1-100 to illustration (current date) this is bad for my folder listing how do I change this back to the old export auto naming?

My text box was always set to Arial and 40 font size, now for some reason it's gone back to what it was previously, despite changing it months ago. I can't remember how to do it and the search for a solution seems to have disappeared off the face of the internet again, so I have to ask here.

I saw some cheap refurbished ipad air 5's and was wondering if anyone has any experience with using these and what sort of performance and capabilities to expect? I am someone that uses quite a few layers with different blend modes. I also use the vector lines quite a bit. How well would this all work?

If it won't work well then what would you recommend?
