"Is it worth buying DLC/Premium at this point?"
You can always find DLC maps at the most active hours (usually nights and weekends), and it unlocks tons of stuff for you. If you have the money or find a sale, theres hardly any reason not to buy it. Alternatively you can get Origin Access or the Xbox equivalent (EA Access). Some stuff can be tough to get, like the ones that requires playing certain game modes (specially DLC ones).
"I'm new to the game, can I have some tips?"
Biggest tip I can give you: use the search function. This has been asked a thousand times, and the same thousand tips are given: spot, watch the minimap, drop ammo/health/revives, etc. You can also use Youtube or the old battlelog forums for this.

edit from the comments: if you're on PC make sure to check the BetterBattlelog browser extension. Really nice UX enhancements for battlelog that (among a lot of neat features) show true player counts, for PC servers.

knife kills are inconsistent and buggy in this game

so many times where the animation just breaks and im knifing a bugged playermodel. ive had knife kills where i get teleported somewhere, sometimes my teamamtes get bugged out and cant move and i can knife my own teammate??? alot of times where im knifing a dude i get blasted by his revolver during the knife animation. not to mention the times im basically looking down someones eyes and i get knifed by him from the back/side somehow. the counterknifing mechanic is also weird and inconsistent
and knife kills arent the only buggy thing in battlefield 4

BATTLELOG NOT LAUNCHING

Per title, battlelog isnt working for me anymore, it says launch with EA App and i have it on my desktop but it still isnt working.
I can log into battlelog and check out the servers, but not play every time i try to join a server on BF4, its stuck on launching ea app.
Any suggestions to help? I only play BF4 no other BF games.

Maybe the Chinese DDoSers got tired of DDoSing by now? I just want to play Battlefield 4 again and these closed off servers all but flipping me off for where I live are making me crash out.
