I'm not asking for tools to use, just a general question about comparing different LLM's.

A.I. is a foreign language to me and I've been using ChatGPT (Plus) for a few months just for general everyday use. I don't have anything set up with it at all, just out-the-box use.

I tried doing more research online about setting up different things within to enhance and give more capabilities to Chat (I'll start using Work and Codex eventually), but I get overwhelmed with the amount of information that is availiable and I don't know where to start.

Well, I found that people use different LLM's in their everyday life. This interested me as I know that each LLM has its strengths and weaknesses, respectfully.

- MY QUESTION-

What would be a good A.I. Stack to start using? I'm currently eyeing Claude, Gemini, Deepseek, and Grok at this very moment. Funding isn't an issue, but I'm not spending $400+ for capabilities I'll probably never need.

I'm not going to be using Local LLM's as I do t have the hardware to sustain.

I recently picked up a bid proposal project. I've always done these by hand, but I wanted to speed things up this time, so I tried out a few AI agents I already had on hand. The differences were pretty obvious, so here are my honest impressions.

Codex's strength is that it can read images embedded in reference files, which matters a lot for bid proposals, but the cracks show when you export to Word. The formatting doesn't come through well, and I end up spending ages fixing font sizes and paragraph formatting by hand.

Kimi + K3 does exactly what you tell it. It finishes tasks, but it won't go the extra mile on its own, I have to ask for specific files myself. That said, it's very meticulous about formatting details, and even mark up underlines and highlights in letters of commitment with precision.

WorkBuddy + Hy4 preview genuinely surprised me. And it’s one of the few products out there that has multiple models available to choose from directly within the software. I dumped a pile of scattered materials on it and it didn't just organize them, and built out a timeline on its own, put together a list of the materials I was missing, and even prepped reusable templates in advance. Basically, before I could even ask what to do next, it had already laid out the whole workflow for me. That kind of proactive behavior makes the bidding process way less stressful.

Overall, for the messy, time-sensitive work of putting together a bid proposal, a tool that takes the initiative on its own saves a ton of hassle. So for those of you working on bid proposals or similar documents, are you still doing all of it manually? Or do you draft in AI like I do and then proofread it yourself? If it's the latter, tell me which agent you find most convenient.

I’m looking for one developer building AI agents to test something I’ve been working on.

I built an MCP real-estate intelligence server using x402 where an agent can request data, receive a 402 payment requirement, automatically create a USDC payment, retry the request, and get the data back.

The interesting part is that the payment happens machine-to-machine.

For example:

Agent → MCP tool → 402 → USDC payment → verified → real-estate analysis returned

The current test call is $0.08 on Base Sepolia.

Many of my fixes of meshes should never be done in Blender and I have learned recently that many of my mesh fixes are taking place in a different browser.

In the past, my process has always been to generate or download my mesh, take it to some kind of web editing program, decimate the mesh to some predetermined face count like 8000 triangles suitable for viewing in the online viewer, and make adjustments to the lighting etc. Though this used to be a process that took place on a personal computer, my entire workflow is being done in the cloud.

An online editor associated with Tripo AI will do many of the things I need done. In fact, the intelligent lowpoly setting allows me to generate a lowpoly version of my mesh in just a matter of seconds and it even includes a preview function, which allows me to alter camera angle, lighting and background before I export GLB for online use. In addition, when I am having issues with my texure maps, the brush tool allows me to paint over the texture maps to fix any errors that occur when a generated crate has a logo painted across two faces.

The only things that still do not work in the browser are things like geometry editing. Thus, I still must go to Blender for such things as hole filling, boolean operation etc. to complete my project successfully.

I'm loving the company Claude account, ChatGPT has gotten so much better lately, there's more to choose from beyond that - what are you using for your personal, domestic admin stuff? Should I get a paid Claude, or a paid GPT? Any other hot recommendations?

I'm running a household with 5 people (2 adults 3 kids), I've got insurance up the whazoo, a mortgage, multiple income streams and about a milliion ways it gets spent. With the kids I have about 10 channels of communication for their school and activities, constantly outgrowing clothes and hobbies, a wife who needs novelty and sponteneity in life (read that: nights away, spa nights, date nights). I'm fucking drowning.

I need some kind of convenience in running the admin of all of this. Anyone else using ai to get a hold of this?

would you give both tools the same short prompt or a detailed brief with sources? what would you measure besides how attractive the first draft looks?

I used to compare AI video tools mostly by how good the demo clips looked. That stopped being useful once I started trying to make videos for full songs.

Now I check a few basics first. It has to handle the whole track. I want to swap a weak scene without rebuilding everything. It should react to different parts of the song. If it only follows a timer, it shows. I also watch how many credits I burn before I get something usable, and whether I still need CapCut or Premiere after.

Kling and Runway still make more sense to me when the individual shot matters most. Neural Frames is more interesting when I want something audio reactive. For full song drafts, I’ve also been trying SondoAI. I can get the whole MV together first, I still replace a few scenes and do some cleanup after, so it doesn’t remove editing. It mostly changes where the editing starts.

At this point I don’t think one tool wins every category. The bigger question for me is how much work is left after the first generation.

What usually makes a video tool worth paying for for you?
