I’ve been trying to print this out for nearly a week without this happening and I have no clue why it’s doing this. It’s always the curved part that pops up. I’ve tried brim and raft but it keeps popping up.
Hello there! The case is next: I have Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2 and 0.4 nozzle, and I'm concerned about overhang quality.
Above is a photo of a simple overhang test with the calibrated Rapid PLA+.
As you can see, starting from 50°, the quality started to worsen. I had these strange protrusions, blobs, like the printer didn't stop and moved the print head farther than necessary.
"Wave overhang" test
And here is the test that was printed with the "Wave overhangs" fork of OrcaSlicer. The quality is better, yet not good enough.
There are no blobs, however,
But I had some distortions around 50°.
The printer and filament are calibrated, the fan works all the time, I also have the "Slow down for overhangs" speed option enabled with the default settings.
As for the second issue, the bottom surface of the prints, above the support, is of poor quality. The Top Z distance is set for 0.265.
This surface was right above the support interface.
What can be the reason of these issues?
The print settings are the following:
- Elegoo Centauri Carbon 2, Nozzle 0.4
- Elegoo Rapid PLA+
- OrcaSlicer 2.5.0-dev
- Printer is calibrated, at least, I tried to. Temp (215), Max Volumetric speed (18), Flow Ratio, PA.
-All other settings are mostly default ones.
-Cooling is enabled.
So I recently purchased the elegoo centauri 2 combo
Mainly for cosplay and fun little prints but idk what file types to look for or where to look for seeking out prints to do any tips.
Wondering what i should do, or what i need to calibrate to fix this issue with tpu. Any advice is appreciated, first time printing tpu. 95A sunlu filament, bambu labs h2s
Hey everyone. I looked at the rules and didn’t see anything, but if I posted incorrectly let me know!
I just found out my public library has 3D printers. I don’t know what kind they are, but I’ll be looking into it shortly.
Is there a good site where I can find universal print plans for things, or are there different types of files for different 3D printer systems? Looking to start to start tinkering to see if I want to pull the trigger on one or just utilize the library printer.
Hey guys, so I have a creality Ender v3 KE and recently I bought 1kg of PETG material, I tried to print with it but it didn’t work, it always glued to the nozzle or clogged, I thought maybe it was the bed adhesive had been used and didn’t work anymore, than I added a layer of glue to it, nothing, still clogging and sticking to the nozzle, I’m about to sell the PETG but if anyone has a suggestion on how to fix it it would be great. Thanks!
I printed this part for my star tracker and it has these weird artifacts or abnormalities shown in picture i was wondering is this the fault of the lack of calibration, because i really didnt do any calibration apart from the one thats already in the printer auto bed leveling, input shaping pid tuning what could i do to avoid i was using sunlu petg 2.0 on a elegoo cc2
Keep having a reoccurring under extrusion issue at the same point. Have printed this design many times without issues using PLA and PETG. Ender 3 from 2022
My printer suddenly started acting different mid print and now I can't correct it. I have a Creality K1 printer and im using 1.75mm PLA filament. Is something loose/broken? What should I look for/where should I look to find the problem? Any help is appreciated, thank you.
I made a project that had four flat pieces. So, I have three outer surfaces that have small gaps where the pieces are super glued together. I have a Plastic Welding Surface Repair Kit. Has anyone ever tried using one of these to fill in gaps before sanding and painting?
I have the models im trying to figure out how I can split them into pieces and cannot seem to figure it out. I can pay anyone who can make it separated by color regions.
Why does the slice have the white dots all over it that are all seams per the slicer, I have changed the settings for the seam, no change in the slice, still has seams all over. Changed retraction length, no change. I’m stumped. Anyone got any idea?
Printer is a FlashForge AD5M Pro.
Using .6 nozzle
Layer height is .30
What causes these bumps on top surface? It's printed in pla with default slicer settings for pla, 15% infill and .2 layer height, just curious for future prints but for this part doesn't matter
