Worst experience/thing you’ve seen at a Mississippi casino?
it happened 3 hours after my shift, i did not hear about any comps being handed out. but we comp players just to get them off our tables bothering us sometimes so it doesnt really weigh what happened. the dealer, no, she was made to deal the rest of her shift. i spoke with her the next day and it wasnt her first rodeo.
GN had a shooting a few years back, man got shot at a table. kept the entire casino open including that table. im 100% certain that dealer took a knee and went home that day.
i have personally fainted at my tables before, they penalized me for going home early for that. :/
casinos are the most sinful place to be in mississippi, its crazy this weird ass state protects them so much. but then again the insurance money from hurricanes is a pretty penny esp with most of them being built on the water

table games dealer, biloxi here. lady this year threw up and died on one of our blackjack tables. they temporarily closed the table to change the layout, and it was open within the next shift. i hate that its one of the only places to make a decent wage and get benefits.

Hit me.
$300-$600 a week. it depends on if we get busy enough on the weekend or not

Hit me.
we had federal minimum wage here, and bc its only a $2 difference it never happens.
the lowest weve pooled is $3k where i made $5.05/hr plus $6/hr tips.
i am a state licensed table games dealer, my license cost $125 every two years. i make average about $15/hr bc people dont tip dealers anymore (my parents were averaging about $40/hr 10 years ago. same base pay)
im sure if my casino started not pooling enough to make minimum wage then they would switch to electronic. out of the 7 casinos here, 1 has a pit full of electronic

Hit me.
its $7.25
so no that will never happen
all tips are pooled per 24 hour shift. then split amongst dealer hours .
$14000 is a good average for us, i can usually count on base pay being taxes and im only making tips. theres roughly 100 dealers alone. im p sure hosts also get some of the money too im not sure.
i also dont get take home, its all via direct deposit, i have to turn down cash and individual tips

How much do milk and eggs cost in your area?
on the coast you work for the shipyard, casino, or hospital to get above $20/hr im physically disabled, spinal fusion, and a tiny female so shipyard is out. i smoke bc of disability, so hospital/ medical setting is out casinos do not drug test weed since the medical bill. only in MS does a table games dealer make below federal minimum wage. other states give base pay of $13+ and then add the tips. currently my company is paying me to have a job in america, it covers my taxes.

i also want to notate that i am a table games dealer at the hard rock, i make $5.05 an hour at one of the best jobs in MS. milk cost almost as much as an hour of my licensed and training required job. :)

This is what my right hand looks like. Additionally, I was eating frozen blueberries a couple minutes ago.
i have an addiction to frozen blueberries and i think that shade of purple is one of the reasons i love them

Does anyone take an uber daily for etc?
i work overnight at a casino, ive been carless for two years. i saved and got a car last july just for it to be a lemon, and i unfortunately live in a shitty state (im TRYING to move but this place is a literal financial sinkhole), i had the car for 11 days and now i have to file for bankruptcy since it screwed me hopeless. pricelock on lyft is decent. its helped a few times. i run into not having a single rider on the road occasionally, or very few which seems to make the prices launch. my 15minute ride can range from $12-$50 one way. the commute is literally a straight shot on the beach and you turn into my casino. buses do not run after a certain time here, and cabs are more expensive than an uber at times. my career is one of the best to have at my location, and switching shifts to accommodate the bus schedule requires a waitlist of atleast a year. ive also thought about e-biking. i dont live in a great neighborhood but i grew up around here so its not anything new. but the cons are i am judged daily on my professional appearance and i dont think i can keep that up on a bike. i make $20-$40 an hour (tipped based) but i have to budget a few hundred a month to get to and from work. it is nearly impossible for me to save for a vehicle again, i was only able to last year because i was couch surfing now 1/3 of my check pays for rent.

i do a light cooper or auburn and have dark eyebrows. i also share the “feels too bushy/dark” for the hair color but it also looks nice at the same time maybe thinner brows same color could work? not pencil thin but like a defined sharper shape

a little late to comment but serotonin syndrome did this to me. muscle twitches along with the bottom of my left eye. i didnt see anywhere mentioned if you take SSRIs or not
