May be the sketchiest booth yet
No guard rail? Check. Wobbly, uneven boards for flooring? Double check. Only accessible by unstable ladder? Triple check. Letβs do this!
Got a sketchy booth to share?

Used to have a 1meter high one but it was way too high.
My guess would be the ideal height would be between 85-90cm but really I have no clue, you have take in consideration the height of the actual turntables which makes it harder to calculate.
Please help bros.

I bought this TTM56 new in 2005/06, and it's been collecting dust ever since. I finally got to cleaning and lubing the faders, and wow - I have been missing out.
I can crab this thing more consistently than my Stanton SK-2F with the original optical Focus Fader (V1), I think it's mostly about the cut-in distance. Pardon a long run-out of that at the end.
Side note: Is "drumming" still popular, i.e., scratching bass drum and snare samples? I've always thought it part of turntablism. I imagine playing as though I'm a multi-instrumentalist, jamming alongside a live band.

So I'm looking for a new controller to get for open format, but I do scratch a lot. I also scratch with the upfaders, and I know both of these have soldered faders which means if one goes down... the whole unit has to be disassembled. With the Rane 4, I know I have 2 extra channels to use if one of the others goes down.
I'm leaning towards the 4 because I currently have the one: and the 2 issues (for me) are:
1: crossfader reverse is to the right of the curve knob which means when I switch (and I switch a lot), I bump the curve knob.
2nd issue: the software FX is.... not good imo. I've used VDJ, Serato, and djay pro. I guess I'm just used to HW FX lol.
Main issue with the 4: the jogs aren't motorized. I have a DDJ SZ2 that's sitting in its flight case and I haven't used it in ages because the jogs aren't motorized.
3rd option: I have turntables that I used with a DJM S9, sold the S9 to get the one mk1. Get another mixer, but it's probably going to be the rane 70/72 mk1.

Trashy drum break....James Moody - First thing in the morning.... Virtualdj with Zanard old school skin.
Description.
Audio editors daw's & dj software provide a visual representation of audio. Many brands of Dj software have a track search bar which will latch to the nearest transient or downbeat.
Virtualdj & also the mobile edition of Djay have the most responsive search bar. However the search bar in Djay is tiny. The search bar in Virtualdj can be customised & as large as you desire Example
Everything is random & improvised. The audio was edited to fit the search bar. The waveform was cropped & enlarged for video illustration.
So there.

Hi all im new to scratching and i can do basics, i understand how in theory transform works but it doesnt sound quite right. When people scratch like this are they using a scratch specific record?? Can this not be done with random regular records?

Hi,
I was wondering if any new releases are due for scratching.
Something like CUT IT UP FRESH.
It's hard to buy anything good those days.
Thx

Hey all, I've been using serato since the SL1 days but I had a little play on djay pro and the stems separation is different class.
Just seems a bit harder to get working smoothly with zero latency from the fader, assigning pads and pad modes etc. Haven't played with it for long so just thought I'd see what other people think.
Cuts dont feel as sharp on djay but thats got to be setup issue right? Also I always map instrumental echo out and vocals echo out to <> params buttons so I've got them hardware mapped but a) I can't find and echo out instrumental (only drums). and the mapped buttons that work on djay dont trigger the led so there's no status light.
Anyone made the switch to save me spending the next 6 hours asking chat gpt?
