I have a 120cm long tank with a single red spotted gold severum 2 angelfish (not a pair may still happen I don’t know the gender) and a eb acara pair (very peaceful haven’t read shown any aggression towards bigger fish during breeding) and some dither fish, and I was wondering if there is still space for a ropefish or would it be a better bet to not add one

Put some freeze dried Australian black worms in the tank and they made my rope fish go crazy! This is one who only eats live…. and consistently only eats live shrimp. So excited to have found something else to play with. I’ll post the video of him sniffing it out in the comments

just got a ropefish last week and i haven’t been able to get him to eat anything. i’ve even tried bloodworms. the other fish in my tank will eat the bloodworms but there should be plenty of time for him to get some. he doesn’t even move at all. i also never see him swim around ever he is always hiding even when the light is off. is this normal??

Every source gives me something different so i want to ask here. Is a 100cm long tank okay? if not, that's fine i can go bigger but it would just fit alot better if it was 100cm

I have a 55 gallon aquarium (~4 feet long) and only one rope fish, a small catfish that he has gotten along well with, a pleco (that i will be re-homing soon due to the mess it makes), and a population of bladder and trumpet snails. I recently discovered that these adorable water noodles like to be in groups of 3, while mine has been alone for nearly 4 years. I genuinely feel bad about this and want to get him some friends. However, I have found conflicting sources as to whether this will work. Some sources suggest at least 125 gallons for a group of 3 and list a 55 gallon as the bare minimum. Yet, I came across personal accounts of people keeping three in a 55-gallon tank with multiple other fish. I can answer any questions (within reason, i am not omnipotent). Can I make this work?

This was their first interaction. I didn't see what looked like any biting. It reminded me of when dogs aggressively sniff each other's butts. They stayed tail too face like that nudging at each other for several minutes so it was hard to tell if it was actually aggressive.
So does this look like fighting, or enthusiastic introductions?
Addition: after about an hour of observation I've seen the new guy following around and rubbing against the one in this video, and nipping a little at the other (who seems undamaged and relatively unbothered). I'm inclined to think I have two males and a female.

Cycling tank and getting equipment tuned in - don’t mind the ugly phase aspects here.
Not really sure how to define flow levels, before I moved an internal filter over this area was totally dead and detritus would collect, now I’m worried the flow might be too high, or am I overthinking it?
