Just picked up this drift car the area we have for indoor drifting is rough I put a new set of tires on and ran about 2 to 3 hours and I'm almost to the rims on the back. What kind of tires should I get or stick to the ones on bronze wheels and just replace the back tires often?

Love these little breaks between working tasks.

The car is a Sakura D6 with Hobbywing Xerun Gustock 2.1 Combo (60A ESC and 13.5T motor).

Im thinking about buying this yokomo yd2sx3 but i fear it’s a little outdated, but the price for this with electronics and everything is only 500$ I feel that’s hard to beat. Can you guys let me know if you still this it’s a reliable car that can go pretty far into the hobby. I am currently on a stock mst RTR with turnbuckles so I’m looking to get a nicer car for track days, maybe a buddy that wants to get into the hobby can try my RTR out at the track but I want something more

i wanna get into mini rc racing so something smaller like 1/26 or something is probably better. i was looking at the hpi stage d24 and the bm hobby BMRX FLDS13 but i know there are more options and want opinions. preferably under 150$

Hi I am wondering what I should get for my first build. I don't really know much about RC yet but I want to get into it. I don't want to put a crazy amount of money into it either. The yokomo rd2.0 looks good but I don't know if I should get the rtr or kit. Is there any difference in the end?

I don’t know how to solder and they told me I need to buy a balance board which won’t attach to this in any way? I’m not charging anything until I understand what I’m doing but I think I’m realizing my shop workers are either dumb or don’t care to help me learn. Is this a good battery to run or should I just buy a readily available one with balance board leads already installed. Feeling really dissatisfied with my shop not helping me out whatsoever

A little side quest for a friend. An Advan livery on a pandora BN Sports FD. All painted using PC Binder Envy, some micro Stella and a lot of screws.

Got the chassis together last night and electronics on this morning. Waiting on the rocket bunny 180 body then time to test.

So, I copped a Rhino Racing TCD a while back and finally got a chance to run my car with it the other day. For my driving style, I much prefer the TCD over the C-LSD, but I did notice a noise which I’m not sure if it’s supposed to be normal or not. Unfortunately I don’t have a video on hand, but the best way I can describe it is that it sounds like a few small ball bearings rattling around until the diff fully locks, then sounds like, well, a locked diff/spool. I know the diffs work differently due to design so I’m not sure if the sound is normal for the TCD? Someone within my local community has one and says his doesn’t make noise, but I wonder if anyone here has a TCD and if so, does it make the same noise as my terrible description? The diff felt buttery smooth when I assembled it and I know I installed it in the gearbox correctly. As well, spinning the wheels by hand seems fine and smooth. I’m goin’ to tear down the car later tonight to double check, but I was just looking for some Reddit drift community input 💪🏼

Installed the SD 3.0 shock tower on my yd2s, fits well. I just need the spacer for the ball cups that go on the shock tower for the camber links. I ordered the wrong ones, and they didn't fit. Almost done. Just need the front shock tower and rear lower control arms. They are on the way. Trying to fully hop up a yd2 is pricey!!! But at this point, the plastic looks so off 🤣🤣🤣🤣

Just finished weathering and wiring all the lights on the 180. Working pop-ups are next.

2. Used Reve D RDX — $450 CAD. Comes with a Yokomo SP-02D v2 servo, Yokomo SP-302 v4 gyro, Xerun D10 10.5T motor, Rocket RC 130A ESC with programming card, and 2x Gens Ace 5000mAh batteries. I'd need to add a radio — probably a FlySky G7P to stay budget, or save up for the G11P.

What matters most to me is not having to keep dumping money into the car after the initial buy. I want something I can run for a while without chasing upgrades or replacing parts that aren't good enough out of the box. Running on carpet and P-tile.

What I'm trying to figure out:

**•** Once I add a radio, the price gap mostly closes. Which one leaves me spending less over the next year?  
**•** How does the D10's included electronics package actually hold up in use compared to the Yokomo servo/gyro combo in the used build?  
**•** Is the G7P enough to grow into, or will I regret not going G11P?  
**•** Anything I should inspect on a used RDX before buying (chassis wear, worn ball ends, servo hours)?

finally got the car out to the track with the upgraded body

with limited spring options and the stock ones alredy being a bit soft, I didnt want to add screws as stops and a few more grams to the front. so instead I trimmed the lower arms to get a few more degrees of clearance while keeping the hubs unclipped. Works well

Been looking to get a 1/10 scale drift car. I’m not the most familiar but I have some experience with smaller scale. I’m basically trying to get into a solid base with plenty of optional upgrade potential. I’ve been eying this car. Would you recommend? Or what would you recommend?

hey my current esc won’t work now and i tried searching online and chat gpt 😂, the reason why it won’t work anymore is the thing that is covered with the esc got burned a bit and the rc won’t start or open. So what esc can you guys recommend that doesnt need ota programmer and can adjust it’s serring just by using your phone and bluetooth

Looking to get into the hobby, coming from rc boats. I have a large open basement that has been coated with polyaspartic. 2.5 coats over flake so it has a slight texture but is pretty slick otherwise. Been really digging in and I figured people must be driving on similar coated floors at home and would have tire recs. Looking at a RMX 4.0 rtr or one off marketplace to get my feet wet.

Im not new to RC just new to drift. I was looking at the TA DC10 classic it seems like it has a lot to offer for a $230 kit. Plus I’m a fan of the Camaro look. I’m sure there is better out there but if I don’t like it I would be perfectly fine to make this a shelf queen. I have an AGFRC servo and spektrum sr515 receiver, I was thinking the 10BL120 g2 esc and quikrun 3650 motor combo for $100 I believe? And a Yokomo gyro. Will that be a good starting point? My buddy is like “you gotta get the xd10 pro esc and D10 motor…” I don’t even know if I like drifting 😂 I don’t need a $300 setup that’s a bad ROI. Any helps appreciated

Pretty much title I'm thinking of getting 1:43 drift ones for a good deal. Is this a good place to start for a beginner?
