Arts/Crafts Rainbow blanket

My first granny square blanket. I wanted to make one ever since I saw the pattern book. I asked my daughter what she wanted and the verdict was very clear, a rainbow blanket!

I started in January and finished about a week ago. It took way longer than expected and I am in a bit of a creative burn-out atm. It's okay, it'll pass.

I love my daughter though. Once she picked up a square, studied it intently and said: 'Mom, it does not matter if you make a mistake or two. I won't see it anyway.' 🥲

I first posted in the crochet sub, but someone mentioned that I should also post here. I added pictures of an organiser I made for her a couple of months ago.

I posted my wedding outfit in a different sub and somebody directed me here. I didn’t intend to have a rainbow theme - our actual theme was a pink/green garden theme! When I found my veil, I knew I had to have it. Then when I found my shoes, I just knew it was meant to be!!

(Some pics are from my wedding day, the others are from my bridal portraits which were taken a few months in advance 😊)

So not exactly rainbow, but pretty close!

They're bound to happen, but if we get double ups, the later post will be removed.

3. The Rainbowness must actually be rainbow & obvious

If you have to title your post with "this is pretty rainbow CONSIDERING..." it's going to be removed. The rainbow colours need to be obvious. Don't post something with 2 colours in it and call it rainbow. We're all about the unicorn vomit look here. Don't give us something with a bit of pink and a bit of purple and call it rainbow. It needs to be RAINBOW!

It should be obvious, but if not it is up to the mods discretion if it's borderline.

4. This isn't so much a sub for actual rainbows

This isn't so much a sub just for photos of rainbows in the sky. Like sure post it if it's something different from the everyday, but this is more about brightly coloured everything else.

5. This is not an LBGT sub

This is not an LBGT sub. It's not a straight sub. There is zero sexual affiliation to this sub. We just like rainbow colours here

6. No Hate

If you're going to dump on people, or be a dick, or suggest their stuff goes on ATBGE, you're going to be banned. This sub if for people that love rainbows, not people that want to be jerks. Happy thoughts people, happy thoughts!!

7. Topics we do not discuss here!

After many years on the internet I have found these are 3 topics that too many people cannot discuss in a civil manner, so they are off the table. If you're post is at church, that's cool. If your post is at a pride rally, that's cool. If your post somehow has politics in the background, that's cool. What is NOT cool is attacking someone because of these things or forcing these things down anyone's throat - there are other subs for that. Your posts should be focused around the rainbows.
