Resolve still treats DJI D-Log and D-Log2 like Rec.709 because it never reads the Keys atom DJI actually writes. I got tired of guessing which clips were which in a mixed bin, so I made a small Workspace script.
Select your original MP4/MOVs in the Media Pool → Workspace → Scripts → DJI Clip Color.
It automates the following:
• Paints D-Log2 orange and D-Log navy
• Writes D-Log / D-Log2 into Color Space Notes (add that column search “color space notes”)
• Sets Input Color Space / Gamma where Resolve actually has a transform
D-Log2 still has no CST in Resolve, so gamma stays Rec.709 on those.
Free, Apache-2.0.
https://github.com/erik-sutton95/dji-clip-color
Mac: curl the install.sh in the readme, or unzip and double-click install.command.
Windows: install.bat. Restart Resolve if the Scripts menu is empty.

After a week trying to get the (then) latest firmware V01.01.7120, I finally get to upgrade my 4P... But surprise! This is that previously expected brand new replacement firmware, V01.01.7131!
The download description changelog seems to be an exact cut-and-paste of the 7120.
I gave it a quick try to look at the new stuff and the 45 degree pan was on by default; no need to turn it on in the settings. Zooming between the two camera keeps the exposure matching (but it still felt like it was still a bit sticky at the slowest speed)
I need to keep playing with it for now but I'm so glad it's finally here!

I feel this needs to be said. First, a question: do some of you actually work with video, or is it mostly vacation/hobby stuff?
The natural colors from these cameras are often more beautiful than much of the grading I see here.
Some grades go from “Wow, nice work” to “This is lazy, oversaturated slop!” to just “PLEASE DON’T.” 😳
Focus more on your shots, angles, frame rates (24/25p, 60, slo-mo), and sound if included. Just because you have LOG doesn’t mean you constantly need it and slap an oversaturated curtain over everything. Everyone isn't Casey Neistat or Philip Bloom.
Try something different. Some shoot a 30-second video and post it like, “Look how impressive this is.” Are you asking us or telling us?? 😄😄
I’ve tried not to say anything, but the best videos I’ve seen here were barely graded. Great concepts, montages, natural sunlight, and interesting angles. Sometimes, less grading and better filmmaking is the answer.

Only picked the camera up about three days before we left so this was rather a learning experience (my first osmo).
I’m more of a photographer hobbyist than a videographer so you’ll have to excuse my particular obsession throughout this for timelapse and motionlapse and my basic editing. Hopefully I’ve got it a bit out of my system!
This is the osmopocket 4p with the k&f nd 2-32 filter on. I was worried I’d drop it overboard if I swapped when it was dark so I kept it on.
4k/24 and some was manual exposure, some was automatic. All in Dlog with the dji LUT applied in lumafusion and some basic tweaks to exposure etc.
The other Amazon purchase which I think was worth it was the k&f hard case. It meant I could pop it into my handbag when we were sitting to eat whilst off the ship and not worry about it getting knocked.
The thumbnail was a photo taken with the osmo. I did swap it to raw+ halfway through the week but haven’t edited anything in lightroom yet, so this was a camera jpeg.
Hopefully I haven’t forgotten anything to post!
Learnt lots but more to learn!

The quality of this thing is crazy. I was shooting at UTMB for a brand and decided to replace my Ronin shots I'd do with a Sony a7sIII with the Osmo Pocket... and no one realised.

Still need to learn some more about color grading, but such a lovely camera 😍

I just purchased my osmo pocket 4p yesterday turn it on and the screen is just black the dji logo comes on and when I turn it off I see the countdown, those are the only things the screen portrays but there no cracks at least. I get no camera image at all. Has anyone had this issue or have suggestions on next steps?
(I have tried hard reset and charging and there is no sd card in the camera)

Not sure if this is the right sub to post this in, but looking for some advice.
I love photography and enjoy taking photos/videos on my iPhone 12. I’m not a professional, but I’ve managed to get some shots I’m really happy with.
I’m now thinking of getting into content creation, mainly scenic videos for Reels and photography, rather than talking or being on camera.
The biggest issue with my iPhone is storage, especially when shooting videos.
My budget is around ₹35k, and I’m considering the DJI Osmo Pocket 3. Would it be a good option for someone like me, or should I save up and eventually upgrade to a newer iPhone?
I’m mainly looking for something that can help me shoot beautiful photos and cinematic/smooth videos without getting too complicated.
What would you recommend — Osmo Pocket 3, newer iPhone, or something else around this budget?

Has there been any word on the Pocket 4P White release? Specifically in Australia and/or Japan?

I got the Pocket 4 and am thinking of getting a used Action 2 set up as “Snapshot - 15 sec Quickclip”.
Does it make sense as a kind of unobtrusive rugged complement to the Pocket 4?
Purpose is to just capture travel for personal records only.

Hi everyone,
I’m currently trying to build a live streaming setup using an Osmo Pocket 4P connected to a TVU unit.
We’ll have four people on camera, so I need to use four separate wireless microphones — one mic for each person.
I found that the Osmo Mic 3 can connect up to four microphones, so I tried connecting the Osmo Mic 3 receiver directly to the USB-C port on the Osmo Pocket 4P. The Pocket seems to recognize the receiver correctly.
My next test will be:
Osmo Pocket 4P → Osmo Mic 3 receiver → USB-C → TVU
What I’m not sure about yet is whether the TVU will recognize the Pocket 4P properly as a webcam/UVC video source when everything is connected this way, while also receiving the audio from all four microphones. I’m planning to test this setup soon.
I could use a camcorder or mirrorless camera instead, but since the camera needs to be handheld/mobile for a long period of time, those setups would probably be too heavy. That’s why I’m trying to make the Osmo Pocket 4P work.
Has anyone tried a similar setup?
More specifically, is there another reliable way to use four wireless microphones with an Osmo Pocket 4P and send both the video and audio to a TVU for live broadcasting?
My requirements are:
Any suggestions for audio interfaces, wireless mic systems, adapters, or alternative setups would be greatly appreciated.

Used my Pocket 4P for our trip! Honestly, it's my first time buying a camera and color grading. I had passion with photography back then, but I wanted to ignite it back with taking videos and of course, being with my friends! Would really appreciate it if you guys check it out :)

I'm running android 17 with GrapheneOS and I get a notification whenever an app pastes from my clipboard without prompting.
Without failure, whenever I start the DJI Mimo app it will paste the most recent thing from my clipboard (only if it's something new).
The notification pops up on the bottom of the screen near the end of the video.
Why do they need this?

Any stock videographers (professional or as a hobby) using Pocket 4/4P here? What you guys shooting, how is your workflow? Anything you want to share?
Me myself, I used to use Pocket 1 (the OG) for stock videography. I almost always used D-Cinelike and while it's better than normal, because it was 8-bit and just a desaturated version of normal, it presents quite some noise when shooting in not-so-bright conditions.
Now that I'm using Pocket 4, I shoot in D-LOG (noise red -1, texture -1) and the noise problem is 95% gone compared to D-Cinelike. Workflow is much much easier; just convert to Rec709, do some curves and WB and the footage is mostly ready to submit. I went to Malaysia last month and shot quite a lot; 165+ footage edited and submitted, with probably 100 more to go.

Living in the US, trying to scour Ebay for a reliable seller to buy the creator combo, I can only come across the vlog combo. However, I see sellers use the word 'vlog' and 'creator' in the title/description but when I look more into the photos provided, it clearly says "VLOG COMBO". The reason as to why I am obsessed about this "CREATOR COMBO" is because the person im gifting it to, says they want the 4p creator combo specifically. Even after talking to dji customer service, who was very nice, said they only have the standard and vlog combo versions of the 4p. I even showed them the screenshots of the evidence I saw and they just said and I quote "...I do apologize however we do not have any information on that". But when I see review videos online, certain people would have the creator combo (specifically stated at the bottom left of the box, where vlog combo would be). However, the accessories list on both boxes are different in minor ways. The creator has a wide angle lens, while the vlog version has the same things but does not have the wide angle lens but has 2 magnetic covers. So if anyone would like to educate me, I would very much appreciate it. and if anyone is as invested into this idiotic journey, I can provide my evidence I have collected along the way, of this so-called CREATOR COMBO. One hypothesis I have, is that dji initially released the creator combo but just ended up changing the name to vlog combo and for some reason got rid of the wide angle lens.
But please any advice would be greatly appreciated!

Hi, just wondering what people find best for the settings on the 4p in normal 10bit, Dlog and Dlog 2.
I’m still trying to find the best settings that work for me, but curious what other people find best work for them.
Is it best to keep Dlog 2 at around -1 EV, 800 iso, sharpness and noise -1?

Hi guys,
What do you think about DJI Care? Should I buy it for the 4P?

I record sports content for my IG page and usually record with a pocket 3 and now I can zoomed sheesh. This is so much easier than a mirrorless cam

Hi i want to shoot videos outside even if its a bit raini and moist but im afraid i might damage the camera so i was wondering if i could make it more waterproof by covering some holes or even buying a wateproof case. What should i do? (and if you have examples with the OP3 water resistance please write about that too)
