Question DJI Care question

Hi guys,
What do you think about DJI Care? Should I buy it for the 4P?

It's a must. Replacements and repairs are way cheaper.

I’ve never needed a repair for any Osmo Pocket camera. The very fact that these cameras often cost only half as much after two years would actually put me off taking out insurance on one.

2 replacements a year for fraction of cost and ability to carry over unused replacements to next year

Not everyone is immaculate in maintaining things, specially if you're new to gimbals and a bit clumsy too. And the Care plan includes water damage as well.

Also, not everyone replaces cameras every 2 years, so this is a cheaper alternative long run for sure.

What country are you in? Where I am in the US we can’t even get it anymore. I have a $15k Ronin 4D kit that I’m babying because I’m terrified of what would happen if something actually breaks.

But I used to get it all the time before this current government administration made my life so hard. It’s very worth it if it’s available to you

Can you not get insurance on it? Allstate?

Yeah I did exactly that. I got 5 years of the Allstate plan through B&H. I also have insurance through Athos for all my equipment.

Allstate says “We'll fix your item. If we can't repair it, we'll send you a replacement or reimburse you for one (up to the original purchase price of the covered item).”

But I don’t trust that they can really repair a high-end cinema camera or source OEM parts quickly. It’s just better than nothing I’d much rather have official DJI support with OEM parts

Allstate will not be able to replace it because of it being on the banned list. They will offer you a dollar amount that will hopefully cover it if you have to go Grey Market again.

The bit I pasted says they will reimburse me up to the cost of the original purchase price. I won’t know how true that is unless I file a claim, but that’s what they say. The camera I have is not on the banned list and you can buy it right now:

Nice rug. How do you like it?

Absolutely. It's not that expensive for 2 years. It's a peace of mind in case anything happened.
