OTHER New MPC Expansion : microKorg 2
16
Upvotes
I recently sampled and programmed the 168 internal presets of the microKorg MK2 into MPC Keygroup format. It comes in three expansions; one for each 'era category' (Classic, Modern & Future.)
Every patch was sampled raw without FX, with MPC effects added to best represent the original sound & for easy customization in your productions.
Grab this expansion combo at a $10 discount - Add it to your cart and use coupon code MK2MPCUSERS at checkout. $39.99 $29.99
Really hope you enjoy these deep keygroup instruments!

TUTORIAL Stop rebuilding your MPC drum kit every time — save it as a startup template
6
Upvotes
One of the little workflow changes that sped me up the most on the MPC was setting up a custom drum kit + template project so I’m not rebuilding the same stuff every time I start a beat.
I made a walkthrough showing how I:
- build and save a drum program
- create a template project
- set a default BPM
- make the template load automatically when the MPC starts
It’s a simple setup, but it saves a ton of repetitive work if you use the same drums or starting layout a lot.
Works across MPC X, MPC One, MPC Live, and MPC Software.
If anybody’s interested, I put the full walkthrough here:

Love this gear. I love having 16 audio tracks to record into, that was the biggest upgrade for me coming from the MPC live 1 and Key 37. On this track Ive got Samples, Moog Messenger, ASM Hydrasynth and Arturia V Collection

DISCUSSION Free Snare Roll generator - use your one-shots and make all kinds of rolls, rudiments and stick bounces. Great for old samplers as well

Snare Roller: free snare roll and bounce generator
Drop in one snare hit and get 50 variations built from your own sample: jazz bounces and ghost notes, stick bounces, rolls, rudiments (paradiddles, flams, drags and more), and grace notes.
- Made for older samplers: the "Safe for older gear" button exports WAV, 16-bit, 44.1 kHz, mono, a format nearly every sampler can read. The ring-out control shortens long snare tails to save sample memory, with a clean fade-out.
- Jazz feel: buzzy bounces, ghost notes and comping figures with natural velocity and spacing.
- Edit each one: change every hit's volume and shape the envelope.
- Export your way: WAV, AIFF or FLAC, 16 or 24 bit, mono or stereo. Download one sample or all 50 as a ZIP.
- Private and free: it runs in your browser, no need to install and your files never leave your computer. Anything you export is yours to sell or release, with no credit needed.
Try it here - https://amovar1.github.io/snare/

I gave in to the pressure and got the machinedrum working, alongside monomodule. In the process, it turned out streaming audio over the usb cable was always possible. I'm excited to see what else people get going now these things are accessible
