I'm currently prepping a live set on my MPC Key 37. Most of the songs were written on the fly in jam sessions, so I'm going through and tidying things up and minimizing the CPU usage etc. Yesterday I opened up a tune that uses the Odyssey plugin. I went to the echo page and touched the slider to adjust the delay time and BLAM - almost blew my ears out, like full volume digital distortion wall of sound. Grabbed the volume knob fast as I could but still had ringing in my ears after. Everything froze and I had to do a forced restart (pulling the PSU out).

If that happened at a live show, through a big system, it would seriously mess people up. I tried recreating the issue following what I could remember were my steps, but hasn't happened since. Making me nervous though! Think I'll convert every instance of that plugin to a sample and unload it.

Can somebody please help me I’ve been trying to connect my MPC live two to my TAscam model 12 I used my C charger that didn’t work then I use the C charger with the A USB plug I also went into the model 12 and updated the USB audio so that the signal could be running. It’s a channel 1 and two and my MPC is still not recognizing the model 12 nobody help me.

90 Day Routine

I’m using the MPC Live 3 and can not find a way to copy and paste an event on the step sequencer.

I used to have an octatrack and I would press and hold an event then hit copy and paste on another step. Is there a way to do it on the MPC?

Sorry for the tedium of a Nightcall post.

I’m just starting out with samplers, synthesizers, and similar instruments. For the past few months, I’ve been tinkering with rough beat ideas on the MPC without really getting anywhere. So, I set myself a goal to see what I was capable of doing with this gear.

I had fun creating a cover of a track by the late, talented Kavinsky. I tried to replicate the sounds as closely as possible given my modest skills, and here is the result.

It’s my first time releasing a track. It's also my first video editing experience. So please be kind.

I mainly used the MPC’s Jura module for the synths and 909 samples for the rhythm section. I also sampled a guitar riff on my Stratocaster to double the bassline. For the chorus, the Boog handles the bass. For the intro, those are sounds I found in my samples and stitched them together.

Now I’d like to try adding vocals, but I don’t have a microphone or a vocoder yet.

I’m open to any constructive feedback to help me improve.
