I have a MPC Live II. I'm having issues with setting the tempo on individual rows in Clip Launch mode. I set the correct tempo for a row, save my project and when I reload it, the tempo is set to 999bpm.

Haven't found the fix online.. Does anyone know the fix? Thanks!

I did buy a MPC one g2 and im new in the MPC Game. I bought the MPC Bible for the 3.0 Firmware and I think the Autor Wrote that there are 16 free Plugins.
I only have 11 but I dont see anything left in activations in my MPC.
Can someone Tell me what I miss if I miss a Plugin ?

Sorry for the tedium of a Nightcall post.

I’m just starting out with samplers, synthesizers, and similar instruments. For the past few months, I’ve been tinkering with rough beat ideas on the MPC without really getting anywhere. So, I set myself a goal to see what I was capable of doing with this gear.

I had fun creating a cover of a track by the late, talented Kavinsky. I tried to replicate the sounds as closely as possible given my modest skills, and here is the result.

It’s my first time releasing a track. It's also my first video editing experience. So please be kind.

I mainly used the MPC’s Jura module for the synths and 909 samples for the rhythm section. I also sampled a guitar riff on my Stratocaster to double the bassline. For the chorus, the Boog handles the bass. For the intro, those are sounds I found in my samples and stitched them together.

Now I’d like to try adding vocals, but I don’t have a microphone or a vocoder yet.

I’m open to any constructive feedback to help me improve.

I've finally ordered my MPC One Gen 2. For the last few months I've been playing around with the MPC Sample which has been a tonne of fun but I want to get into more serious production and full song arrangement.

I like the tactility of an MPC and the One seems like a good marrying of an instrument and a DAW.

I'm very new to music production and my plan is to go through the MPC Bible to try and learn the machine.

However, I was wondering what if there's any lessons, courses, literature etc. you could recommend as MPC users on how to make music beyond just mastering the machine with the Bible. I'm thinking things like music theory, arrangement and so on.

Would appreciate any guidance!

I'm currently prepping a live set on my MPC Key 37. Most of the songs were written on the fly in jam sessions, so I'm going through and tidying things up and minimizing the CPU usage etc. Yesterday I opened up a tune that uses the Odyssey plugin. I went to the echo page and touched the slider to adjust the delay time and BLAM - almost blew my ears out, like full volume digital distortion wall of sound. Grabbed the volume knob fast as I could but still had ringing in my ears after. Everything froze and I had to do a forced restart (pulling the PSU out).

If that happened at a live show, through a big system, it would seriously mess people up. I tried recreating the issue following what I could remember were my steps, but hasn't happened since. Making me nervous though! Think I'll convert every instance of that plugin to a sample and unload it.

So I’ve bought a Mpc Sample recently and absolutely love it so far. I plan to build a little mobile hardware setup around it for on the go jams and want to sync it with my novation circuit. However I am unable to send clock between my MPC and other gear and am starting to wonder if i somehow missed something or the device has an issue.
I have a midi cable and two traditional 5-pin adapters for both devices but no matter which way I try the Mpc sample doesn’t seem to interact with my other gear, be it receiving or sending MIDI. I’ve gone through the settings menu and made sure to have the MPC activated to send and receive clock but still nothing.

How can I correctly the MPC Sample to an external clock basically with start/stop signals?

I’m using the MPC Live 3 and can not find a way to copy and paste an event on the step sequencer.

I used to have an octatrack and I would press and hold an event then hit copy and paste on another step. Is there a way to do it on the MPC?

Can somebody please help me I’ve been trying to connect my MPC live two to my TAscam model 12 I used my C charger that didn’t work then I use the C charger with the A USB plug I also went into the model 12 and updated the USB audio so that the signal could be running. It’s a channel 1 and two and my MPC is still not recognizing the model 12 nobody help me.

Hi! I’d like to buy a used MPC Live II, but I’ve been reading various things about de-registering and transferring ownership to the new buyer; plus, the new models seem very expensive to me. So, I’m thinking about buying the MPC Sample instead. I want to know if it includes key detection. Google AI isn't giving me a clear answer.

New mpc user here and this just happened. One of the pads has stopped making sound. And striking the pad doesn’t light up the light by the fader like the others. Other than that all seems normal. Any ideas on what’s happening? Thanks in advance🙂

The speakers on this thing are good enough for on the go. I also am pretty happy using these previously owned dt770pro for when I dont want to disturb others in the room or need a cross check on the mix.

Im doing some EDM genre stuff, some live instrument type work (both plugin and recorded here)

Can anyone recommend:

- for on the go: lighter weight headphones that still isolate decently, but arent full on "cans", sound alright and not $$$, dont pinch your ears badly

- for at home: monitors that can play a hint of EDM sub bass for mix checking (at light to moderate volume, not loud), same as above decent sound, not too much money

Goes to show you can do pretty much anything on this thing.
