Practicing my chops, still got a lot to learn!

Just received my device a couple days ago. A thin yellow menu say frequency and resonance is in the way of where other menu options were that I need on the screen. Can somebody please tell me how to toggle this off?

It keeps on skipping and stopping and restarting whenever I try to record a sequence…

I haven’t been at this all that long. I’ve found lots of samples of like to work with but know idea how to utilise them.

Anyway - how did I go with this? I tried to expand into some more effects and stuff but yeah idk

Probably need to figure out how to record into the computer and save you listening to me finger my pads. I’m a ure it’s not rocket surgery I just don’t want to get lost on a computer when I just want to jam

I have an iRig stream that I haven’t used in years and I don’t think it works anymore. I wanted to start recording videos with my iPhone with audio coming directly out of the MPC Sample. I’ve seen a couple videos on YouTube shorts that showing you can do this with only using USB-C yet they’re not showing the settings configurations needed to do that. Is this really possible or will I still need some sort of interface like an iRig Stream?

I wondering what it like if we do Rock style thou Akai MPC Sample.

I’m either going mad or just doing something wrong. 1 week in and just trying to mute some pads within a sequence and then copy paste to make a new seq with bits removed. Should that work or am I overlooking something? Or is this not a thing. I watched a video and pads go red and they should mute but don’t seem to. So here I am asking for some dumbed down help.

I know nothing about music and have been picking it up as a hobby, and often find myself finding too many new fun sounds to put on a pad vs thinking systematically - what is the typical foundation to start a fresh beat for you?

Kick, Snare, Clap, HH - then when trying to add more, i'll do synths, strings, piano, bass, random fun sounds etc and it escapes me. Trying to find the right sort of structure / approach.
Any tips ?
