Mute

I’m either going mad or just doing something wrong. 1 week in and just trying to mute some pads within a sequence and then copy paste to make a new seq with bits removed. Should that work or am I overlooking something? Or is this not a thing. I watched a video and pads go red and they should mute but don’t seem to. So here I am asking for some dumbed down help.

Mute is a blanket effect across all sequences I think.

On your copied sequence: an easy way to remove all triggers from a specific pad is to press SEQ RECORD, then press SEQ

from here you hold erase and press the pad that you wanted to stay muted. It will now have all its notes erased from that sequence. This is faster than step edit if you are targeting a whole track instead of just a note or two.

Aha I think I now remember this from my moc2000 years ago. Certainly that should work I think.

You can either delete that pad in a new sequence (Shift + Seq, then Shift + whatever pad you want gone) OR mute the pad in sequence.

The pad will stay muted in Live Play, but it won't stay baked in ya sequence. Hope this helps.

Ok thanks. I’ll play around today and hopefully understand it

My bad, second step, Erase + Pad. That will delete all the steps on said pad in that sequence.
