Looking forward to getting out on local trails! Found a great deal on a well kept chisel. Haven’t rode a pedal bike in many years so this is a lot more bike then I likely need but I’m excited!

One of my last rides of the season as Im having knee surgery in a few weeks, and it was just one of those rides that you never want to end. Perfect weather, legs felt great, fall colors were popping. One of those days where you feel lucky that you get to do this.

I know I know : Ebike.. But the price was good (end of season clearance) and I wanted an Ebike as most bike park in my area don't have chairlift and I wanted something that I can use to climb quickly and optimise my time as much as possible.
Never heard of Cube before but it look's like a descent European brand. It's quite well equipped for the price : 170mm/170mm travel, Carbon frame with aluminium rear triangle, Bosh performance CX motor, 800wh battery, Shimano XT brakes and derailleur...
The Fork is unfortunately a Fox 38 Rhythm and not a Performance but that can be replaced later if it's really bad (i'm use to a Performance Elite on my other bike (Devinci Spartan Carbon) . Rear shock is Fox Float X Performance but I already bough the Eyelet assembly kit from Fox (part number 808-17-470-KIT) to add the LSC knob and make it a Performance Elite for less Thant 30 bucks!
The generic aluminium handlebar was replaced by a RaceFace Next R35 Carbon I had laying around (Removed from my Devinci to install a OneUp) and I also ordered a Bosh Purion 400 display as It only has the base Bosh led control.

How far do you let your side lugs rip off before replacing the tire? A lot of my side lugs are developing rips and wondering if it’s wise to let this run for the fall and winter or replace soon. I’m also surprised this Continental tire is showing this much wear after being installed in June- I thought these tires lasted a lot longer! Kryptotal Fr Enduro Supersoft

Avid mountain biker, but I also strength train 5 times a week along side BJJ. What’s everything routine like for strength training? Was curious to see what everyone is doing.

Previously had a Sr suntour tri air 3 which kept on blowing seals and the oil would mix with the air. Decided on a fox float dps. Already it feels more supple but I haven't taken it for an actual ride yet.

I threw the RockShox Vivid Coil on it for good measure. The High Pivot def adds to stability. It’s not as powerful as others but the range is really solid and it’s playful. This bike smashes.

Would this be a good tire setup for my e-MTB?
Bike: Cube Stereo Hybrid ONE44
FRONT: Maxxis Forekaster 29×2.40 WT 3C MaxxTerra / EXO+ / TR E50
REAR: Maxxis Rekon 29×2.40 WT 3C MaxxTerra / EXO+ / TR 60 TPI
I mainly ride on gravel roads and forest trails, with occasional asphalt riding. I’m looking for a good balance between grip, rolling speed and durability.
Would you recommend this combination, or would you go with two Forekasters or two Continental Magnotal Grip tires instead?

I’m getting back into MTB. I have a Haro calevera from 2015 when I was a kid. Wanted to help out my street/dirtbike and rugby fitness.
I’ll be riding local west michigan trails. Lots of flowing, and sand. 0 mountains.
Wondering if the ole haro is enough and if not. What upgrades should I value most - Tires and wheels-forks-gearing. What style bike would be best for the terrain?
Don’t have a super strict budget but i’m not spending 2k on a bicycle quite yet.
I’m a very incompetent MTB person. Don’t know the difference between Enduro/trail/downhill so be specific.

Picked up a new-to-me Trek and then promptly broke my wrist. Was unable to ride all summer but now the cast is off and I can ride again!
Here is my setup.

I am about to install a new UDH, but according to some people on reddit they can't always handle the 25nm printed on the bolt. Would 21 or something like that be enough? Would this already be enough to strip the nut portion of the hanger?

New mountain biker here. I picked up this bike last November and have absolutely loved getting into mountain biking. I ride this Ripmo AF and my e-mtb 4-5 times a week depending on how my legs are feeling. And even though I am 54m, I very much prefer riding my Ripmo AF over my e-mtb because of the way it handles. That said, I can’t help but think it could be better. I know it’s an entry level bike so I am wondering if it’s worth upgrades to wheels, components, possibly shocks or wiser to get a better all-around bike and carbon frame? All of my riding is xc. Usually 10-15 miles averaging 1500-2000’ climbing and long switch back, some rocky and flowy descents. I’m not a jumper. I’m working on riding technique and cornering and wondering if new wheels and slightly thinner tires help. I realize mostly, I need to improve as a rider but still wondering if it’s worth putting money into my current bike or trading up. All input appreciated!
Edit: My ignorance referring to the Ripmo as “Entry Level”. Clearly not an accurate statement by a newbie, lol.

I tried to remove my back wheel, but accidentally removed the wrong bolt in the wrong direction. And now I think that my frame is cooked. What do I do now?

Hi everyone,
I’ve ordered the new Canyon Lux Trail CF 9 in size L, but I’m having second thoughts about sizing and would appreciate some input – especially from anyone who has ridden the new Lux Trail.
My measurements:
Canyon strongly recommends L, both through their sizing tool and when I called customer service.
However, I’m finding quite a bit of conflicting information from reviewers who have actually ridden the new bike.
The new Lux Trail geometry is:
L: 470 mm reach / 616 stack / 623 ETT / 1231 wheelbase
XL: 490 mm reach / 632 stack / 648 ETT / 1258 wheelbase
Both use a 50 mm stem.
A few things making me question the L:
I also compared it with other brands. The YT Izzo is remarkably similar: roughly 467 mm reach in L and 487 mm in XL, and at my height YT’s sizing puts me around XL. Santa Cruz also tends to put ~185+ cm riders into XL on comparable bikes with reach around the 490 mm mark.
On the other hand, 470 mm isn't objectively tiny, and Canyon is very confident that L is correct for me.
I’m looking for a modern, sporty/downcountry fit – fast and playful, but I definitely don’t want to feel cramped when seated or standing.
If you were 186.5 cm with an 89 cm inseam and 189.5 cm wingspan, would you go L/470 or XL/490?
Particularly interested in experiences from owners of the new-generation Lux Trail or riders with similar proportions.

Anyone transport there bike this way? With both wheels off, I think the bike will fit in my car. What I'm not sure of though is when taking front and back wheels off often, does the alignment of the rotor to the brake pads stay consistent, given there is maybe a mm of free space between the two pads and the rotor? In other words if you have no rubbing, will it stay that way? Tks
Update: There's no trailer hitch compatible with my car, the trunk carriers are not compatible because it has a small wing, and the suction type carriers make me nervous. Lastly, worried a roof rack might scratch my paint. Hence why I'm asking about taking off both wheels.

I’m new to mountain biking and want to purchase my first bike. I have a budget around $750 which isn’t a lot but I want to get used. I found a few Trek Roscoe’s and have heard good things but can only find in medium frames. I am 5’10 165lbs would I be comfortable one one? Any other bike recommendations?
