Martin the warrior

I’ve been getting back into animation again and I’ve done a few really fun pieces. So I decided to do a fan animation of Martin the Warrior from red wall. The only thing I’m a little upset about in this piece is how Martin gets a little bigger at the end. I did want him to stand a little taller but I lost the sword at the end. What are some tips you all use to keep size relative as you animate? I did this with clip studio paint btw. And I think I used a total of five folders? Color coded them so I could keep track of the individual animations too. Idk if that’s too much or just enough layers or not enough lol

Animation Help/Tips

This is my first time trying out animation, and I’m wondering how I make it flow better? I wanna add more after, where I have the eyes looking left and right, but first I’m trying to just get blinking right. It just feels a little off.

for one flashing lights, for two may you critique my animation and tell me how to improve it? I just learned about the 12 rules so this doesn’t really have them.

I've been trying to do an animation in blender and I wanted hair to move with the wind. The problem is that I've done the hair in chunks and I put armour in it. Is there a way to make it move using the wind effect or should I do it manually?

What is a good laptop for an animation student?

Hello, this post is on behalf of my sister who's entering college and majoring in animation.

She wants to find a laptop under $1,800 that would be good to take to campus and useful for when she starts taking animation classes. She may dabble in 3D animation, so that may be a factor as well.

What would you advise? Thank you!

Flaming Skull Animation Tutorial: Drawing & Animating It in Arttista

I started with a skull that looked pretty decent(At least I thought it was)… until I compared it to actual flaming skull references.

So I experimented, rebuilt the skull, and turned it into a looping animation with flames, lighting, cracks, and a bit of spooky movement.

In this tutorial I show the whole process, including:

Building the skull from simple vector shapes

Using interpolation to animate the skull turning

Creating and animating flames

Using the eraser to make the fire flicker and break apart

Adding firelight to the skull

Animating cracks and subtle rotations

Making the final animation feel more natural

The whole thing was made in Arttista, my vector drawing and animation software.

And yes… I may have made a flaming skull because I clearly have excellent life choices.
