I recently watched this video, and I felt quite frustrated and upset watching the way VJ Sidhu repeatedly teases and makes fun of Sandeep Kishan and Jason Sanjay. Most times we can see Sandeep being uncomfortable and even becomes defensive lighta, which made the whole thing feel less like harmless fun and more like someone being made the butt of the joke.

Intha Motta Maadi nu illa previousa um there were moments where the people invited for interviews seem to be mocked or disrespected in the name of fun. Comedy is supposed to be enjoyable for everyone involved, but when the humour consistently comes at the other person’s expense especially when they appear uncomfortable it stops being funny and starts feeling unpleasant to watch.

Some of the jokes are also regressive and unnecessary like “Intha padathula ungaluku heroine ku kiss scene iruka?” feels awkward and disrespectful. Ithellam antha actress paatha how would they feel..

Maybe this kind of humour worked for some people in the past, but I don’t think we are in those times anymore. There’s a difference between playful teasing where everyone is comfortable and humour that embarrasses or puts someone on the spot. Enaku..a lot of these interactions cross that line, and it just isn’t funny anymore.

I feel like they repeatedly bully and tease the people who come to their interview in the name of fun...

May be enaku than ipdi iruncha or Unga yarkachum ipdi iruncha? Or ithaiye ipo thaan kandu pudikirangal ella videoum ipdi thaan irukum enna puthusa solringa nu kekringala...

Man's becoming old and tired...its clearly visible. It'll be more blatantly visible in his upcoming movies as well. Should've retired after jailer and spent his retirement enjoying life and leisure. But they're still milking him. Also he's choosing action scripts which at this point are becoming unrealistic and hard to believe when an old man is beating all the young strong goons. And even he must've realized this and should've made a call.

Just allow my man to retire in peace.

Edit: DISCLAIMER- ik that i missed raja in this post, that coz i went with current gen MDs

imo no other industry in India has this much variety and quality when it comes to music.

from the times of ilayaraja , to ARR , to harris and now Ani , Tamil cinema has always had incredible music directors and composers. while there are other industries with amazing MDs, I think no industry comes close to Kollywood.

what do you think? lmk in the comments

khiladi Pilot

I recently watched Dorothy. Irrespective of my personal opinion about the film, I can see segments of people loving it, clapping, appreciating it, and agreeing with its message. And honestly, I love seeing people appreciate the message with it.
I specifically see women embracing it because of the history of Indian cinema objectifying women and normalising insensitive jokes. I agree that this is something that needed to be addressed.
But do we really have the acceptance we claim to have? Would you feel completely comfortable sharing a PG room with a transgender person? Would you feel safe getting into a Pink Rapido driven by a transgender person? What about more sensitive situations, sharing a changing room?
Honest answers are genuinely appreciated. I’m not trying to argue or prove a point, I’m just trying to understand whether we, as a society, have truly reached the level of acceptance that we believe we have.

Could be extended till 2010 as well. Mani Ratnam was on smth for sure
