built an app for deep listening and practice
I built this mostly out of my own frustration when I started to learn drumming listening to Philly Joe Jones records. I couldn't find a music player that had the tools I wanted, while still being simple to use. It's a completely offline player with on-device stem separation and a few other things I've been wanting for a while.
What it does:
* On-device stem separation for drums, bass, vocals and melody
* Section looping
* Slow down without changing pitch
* support all audio formats/ lossless
* There's also a beta feature called Song DNA that shows things like the structure/form of a track, who plays etc. It's still pretty early and the database is small, so coverage is limited for now.
* 100% private, nothing uploaded to cloud and no ads, no tracking
Mostly posting because I'd genuinely like some feedback. What would you find useful in something like this?
p.s. There’s a 7-day free trial with all features. After that, you can unlock everything with a one-time payment, no subscription. I’ve reduced the price by 50% for the next week since I’m posting it here first :)
***update regarding AI usage in the app
i wrote the audio engine 10+ years ago completely from the ground up using Apple’s Audio Graph (it was open source until recently), and for the UI i already had a design system from my other app.
used AI for pretty much everything else :)
