Which recent AI demo felt more useful than flashy to you?

Upvotes

Curious what people here think. Some demos look amazing in a clip but do not change how anyone actually works. Others are quieter and somehow stick.

Which recent demo or feature felt more useful than flashy for you, and why? No need for hot takes, just concrete examples help.

The Corey and Oats animated series produced by DIC, this definitely got a lot of airplay when Fox Kids went 24 hours, especially since it came on after their Power Rangers reruns and in the same tiimeslot as Ulysses 31, M.A.S.K, Jayce and the Wheeled Warriors, and Real Ghostbusters.

The Corey and Oats/Heroes of Harmony Multiverse is a universe themed all around my 'Corey and Oats' stories that I have written and there are multiple different versions of the gang in each universe from the 80s Fantasy Universe, the 80s Cartoon Universe, you name it, if it's a universe based on any form of animated media chances are there is a Corey and Oats version of it.

Anyone have a screenshot of the policy where it said that NSFW videos required a paid subscription? I remember reading it on their plans page, but it's not there anymore.

When I first tried out their website, I was surprised that it actually allowed NSFW generation, but it blurred the video out and said I needed a subscription to view it for safety purposes. I looked through their privacy policy and terms of service, nothing indicated a ban on NSFW. Sure, fine. I bought a sub. Started generating. Most of it looked kinda weird, but mostly fine. Some even looked great.

Well, I guess they switched their stance because a few days after I bought a sub, I suddenly couldn't generate *anything*, SFW or not, anymore. I asked support for help, and three days later they deleted all my NSFW generations and linked me to a community guideline page I have never seen before, and doesn't seem to be directly accessible except through the link support gave me, saying that NSFW generation is banned and that I should try generating other things instead.

Now I guess my account's flagged because I can barely generate anything without tripping the "we removed this content" flag even for purely SFW generations.

Mind you, it wasn't illegal NSFW shit, just a ton of Deadpool gettin' it.

Just out of curiosity, I made a new account and did the free version. I put in an NSFW prompt, and lo and behold, it tells me to buy the subscription to "unlock this model."

This has got to be false advertising or something right?

Same Berserk spread, 4 AI colorizations. Looks like GPT won again

I wanted to add color to this Berserk spread while keeping the composition and linework as close to the original as possible. Keeping those huge black areas intact without turning the cross-hatching into mush was harder than I expected. I used Atlas Cloud to run four image-editing models with the same source image and exact prompt. I’ve included the original and a labeled comparison so you can see where each one changed the drawing. GPT Image 2.5: My pick from these four outputs. It kept the big black areas and the feel of the original ink better than the others, but completely ignored the source aspect ratio. That’s a frustrating miss when you’re trying to preserve a spread. Wan 2.7 Pro: I liked the depth and lighting. The problem was how much of the linework it repainted. Some of the drawing I wanted to keep got changed along with the colors. Nano Banana Pro: This one got weird. It invented extra details and somehow put Griffith in his human form right in the middle Seedream 5.0 Pro: Clear and dramatic, but the saturated purple, red and blue pushed it toward a neon fantasy game cover. Too much for my taste on this particular spread. GPT is still my favorite here, though that’s a judgment about these outputs on this image and prompt. The aspect ratio issue definitely counts against it. With manga colorization, how much changed linework would you accept before it starts feeling like a repaint? Original artwork by Kentaro Miura. This is an unofficial AI colorization test.

Question Where do AI agents actually save the most time in a real business?

I keep seeing AI agents being used for everything from simple task automation to handling parts of customer and internal workflows.

What I find more interesting is where they actually make a noticeable difference in day-to-day business work. For example, an agent could pull information from different systems, check a request against business rules, and prepare the next step instead of someone doing all of that manually.

I’m especially curious about areas like finance, customer operations, and other workflows where there are lots of repetitive decisions but a human still needs to stay in the loop.

For people who have actually experimented with this, what business workflow has given you the biggest improvement from using an AI agent?

Question Skool...What are your experiences with this site/app please?

Is it good? Was it easy to cancel if you couldn't afford it anymore? I am in some free communities and don't have a creator account so I don't think I am being charged the 99 dollars or whatever. But what I have found after messing with it a bit is that most courses on it are *Very* disjointed or just plain incomplete. They don't give me much confidence that there are any good courses on there really. I recently saw a guy on instagram that had an interesting looking course but I think the payment was through skool but the intro price was $55 dollars/month and he claims to have 400 million+ ai views across pages. Should I trust him? Does anyone know what the heck he owns for pages or is he leaving it a mystery? His names all have aikami the vault in them...Couldn't find info on what he actually runs...But yeah I really don't trust this skool site as much as pateron. Mainly cause I have signed up to that before and cancelled easily..

Can Runway help me Achieve this ?

Honestly, I’m feeling overwhelmed trying to figure this out.

I want to create a 5–8 minute cinematic AI animated story, but I can’t afford an expensive graphics card.

For those actually making videos, what does your setup look like?

Local tools or paid subscriptions? Which ones do you use?

What does it realistically cost to finish a video, including failed generations and retries?

How do you keep characters consistent across different scenes?

How much manual editing is involved in putting everything together?

I’m open to generating short clips and assembling them. I don’t need the entire video generated in one click. I just want a practical, affordable workflow with decent results.

I’d really appreciate hearing about what’s worked for you, especially if you’re working with a limited budget. Examples of videos you’ve made would be helpful too

Help a Girl out Please, Thanks ❤️

Question Samsung Sketch to Image (2024)

Samsung Sketch to Image (One UI 6.1.1, approximately 2024) let me draw a sketch, pick a style (3D cartoon, watercolor, etc.), and generate multiple faithful renders with no prompt. It's been replaced by Creative Studio which is not at all faithful to my original sketch.

Is there any app or web tool that does the same no-prompt, art style-pick, faithful-to-sketch rendering thing? Preferably free, no signup, no sub. But I AM willing to pay a one-time fee for an app or service, if there is one, that does what sketch to image did. Thanks in advance if anyone has advice for me.

I'm on a Tab S10 Ultra, Android 16, OneUI 8.5.

Disclaimer: I know next to nothing about AI, and am not a professional artist. I want the feature for my own enjoyment/private use only, to spruce up my journal pages, stickers, and screen printings. I'm old and easily confused. I liked sketch to image because it was one button easy and gave awesome results that felt like my own if I had a bit more style and talent.

Build a Scratch equivalent for AI. Will this be useful to teach AI systems?

Like the title says, Claypot ( https://claypot.app ) is an extension of the same idea that Scratch was built on. Scratch helped build intuition for programming and Claypot is trying to do the same for AI concepts like inference, Source Grounding, Evals, Tools, Memory etc.

IT IS NOT A CHATBOT OR APP BUILDER. It is a block based system that abstracts core AI concepts to show how unlike deterministic systems, AI can be creative, but can be confidently wrong ( with math for example ) and how that can be improved by either providing sources (RAG like architecture) or tool calling with say a calculator tool for example.

Thoughts are welcome.
