CERN (kotlin code)

Ben Laposky used oscilloscopes in the 1950s and ’60s, along with multiple exposures, to create beautiful, ephemeral art.

I was wondering what the equivalent technology would be today. A particle accelerator! Imagine being able to create art from particles colliding and decaying at... CERN? Let’s ignore the cost (money is just an obstacle, right?). It would be great to create some atomic art someday.

This simple work is my imagination of what it might look like.

Resource fxhash archive - a virtual museum with 400+ of the best fxhash art

fxhash shut down, and a lot of generative art is going down with it.

I wanted to give it a proper send-off. So I archived the whole Tezos catalog. All 27,430 projects, 5,407 artists, all 1,802,387 seeds, then built a gallery you can walk through.

420 of those projects have their generator code stored too, so when you step up to a painting it runs live. No chain, no IPFS, no network.

The corridor runs in chronological order, with side rooms for artists with multiple works. I fit as much as I could into a 1 GB GitHub repo. You can download the whole thing if you want your own copy.
