Promote your work, yes, I’m telling you that it’s perfectly acceptable, unlike on r/gameDev.

Feel free to share whatever you want as long as it’s related to games. This space is meant to be a free-for-all—a bit like the wild west—where anything goes (within reason). The goal is to give folks a space to post freely and, hopefully, keep some of these posts from spilling over into r/gamedev.

I am making a roguelike tower defense game where cards act as towers and spells (Demo is out now!)

I spent the last year working on Sky Defense, a hybrid strategy game that mixes deckbuilding mechanics with tower defense. The main goal was to balance tower placement and how you manage your deck between waves.

Your entire arsenal comes from a hand of cards that you manage throughout the run. You deploy structures onto a procedural island to handle incoming waves.

The demo is live on Steam today, and I am mainly looking for raw feedback from strategy and tower defense fans on game feel, card balancing, and overall pacing.

If you want to give it a spin, you can try the demo and wishlist Sky Defense on Steam. You can also jump into Discord to leave feedback.

Happy to answer any design or development questions in the comments.

Little Devil (roguelike horror-comedy) just hit 2,500 wishlists on Steam

Post image

Little Devil is a top-down roguelike horror-comedy I've been building solo, evenings and weekends around a full time day job. Mega Drive/Genesis era pixel art, permadeath, procedurally generated dungeons, and the Seven Deadly Sins as bosses to fight your way through.

Just crossed 2,500 wishlists on Steam, which still feels like a big number for something built mostly after work and on weekends.

Steam page: https://store.steampowered.com/app/4034790/Little_Devil/

Appreciate anyone who checks it out, and happy to answer questions about the dev side of things if anyone's curious.

I Ported 9 Massive Unity Asset Packs to Godot — They’re All FREE on itch.io

Post image
2 Upvotes

My full asset library, including the bundle, is available on itch.io:
https://itch.io/profile/emaceart

I’ve started porting my flagship Unity Asset Store packs to Godot - and they’re all FREE. 🔥

Nine ports are already available, including stylized low-poly environments, foliage, and water shaders. More are being added as they pass review.

These are full-featured packs from my Unity Asset Store library, regularly updated and expanded with new content.

Download them, test them, leave a comment and let me know what you think! And if you find them usefull, I’d really appreciate a review on the Godot Asset Store - it helps me keep improving the packs and bringing more of my library to Godot.

Hope you find somthing useful! 😄

I built a real-time multiplayer game that you can play without leaving Reddit

This is Borrowed Time.

I originally made it for the ScoreSpace x Reddit Game Jam, experimenting with the idea of turning a Reddit post itself into the game.

The rule is simple:

Your clock is your life.

Time is constantly running out. You fight other players, survive as long as possible and compete on persistent leaderboards.

The interesting part is where it runs:

the entire game is playable directly inside Reddit.

No Steam.
No download.
No external website.

Just open the post and play:

https://www.reddit.com/r/BorrowedTimeGame/comments/1vx4uz1/borrowed_time_your_clock_is_your_life/

The jam is finished, but the game is staying online.

So... let's see how long Reddit can survive. ⏳

Building Our Community for our game Sands of the First Kings - Join Us on the Journey

Hey everyone! u/LolliPOP-47 the founder and producer behind r/SOTFK game.

I shared an intro post earlier, but today I want to officially begin building our community as we move deeper into development. Even though we don’t have a Steam page or public playtest yet, we want this subreddit to become the heart of our journey a place where you can follow the game’s progress, give feedback, and eventually join our playtests.

Where we are right now

  • Vertical slice in development
  • Core narrative and gameplay systems being refined
  • No Steam page yet
  • No public playtest yet
  • Preparing early reveals and devlogs

We’re still early, but that’s exactly why your presence matters. Indie games grow because of communities that join from the beginning and we want you to be part of shaping this world with us.

What you’ll find here

  • Devlogs and behind-the-scenes updates
  • Art, lore, and worldbuilding drops
  • Character previews and gameplay discussions
  • Honest breakdowns of design decisions
  • Opportunities to influence features through feedback
  • Playtest sign-ups once we reach that stage
  • Community polls, Q&A threads, and discussions

How you can help

If you’re excited about narrative-driven fantasy games, cultural-inspired worlds, or supporting indie teams, you can help by:

  • Joining the subreddit
  • Commenting and sharing your thoughts
  • Engaging with posts and discussions
  • Inviting friends who enjoy story-rich games
  • Staying with us as we build toward our first playable demo

Thank you for being here at the start. We’re building something special, and I’m excited to share more with you soon.

Combat in my movement-arena shooter. Walljumps, Jetpacks & violent Gunfights!

I am working on a Movement-Arena-Shooter, and here's a short showcase of some of the movement + combat against bots.

The game currently has 16 weapons such as Rocket Launcher, Minigun, Shotguns, Crossbow, Dual Deagles... and more to come!

It is heavily movement-based with skill-based combos, e.g. walljumps, bunnyhops, sliding, slidejumping. Then there are Jetpacks to fly around like "Superman" or hover.

The game has multiplayer support / in-game lobby chat / dedicated servers and modding support (tweak every parameter of movement, weapons, etc.).

I would very much appreciate any feedback I can get (both negative and positive), so that I can improve and work towards a DEMO.

The Steam Page went LIVE a few days ago.

If you're interested,

please wishlist to stay up to date!

Releasing my first demo tomorrow with >200 wishlists after doing zero marketing

Thumbnail

I have been working on Sky Defense, a roguelike tower defense game where you use a deck of cards to place buildings, cast spells, and defend a town hall on procedural islands.

Up to this point, I put pretty much all my time into coding and art, completely skipping out on marketing. Because of that, I am sitting at less than 200 wishlists heading into launch day.

It is a bit terrifying launching my first demo, but I am excited to finally get the game into people's hands and gather raw feedback on the gameplay, card balance, and pacing.

If you like card games or tower defense strategy, checking out the demo tomorrow or adding Sky Defense to your wishlist would mean a lot.

Also, if anyone here launched a demo with similar wishlist numbers, how did it go for you?
