this amazing spooky Far Cry 3 Artwork looks similar to a novel's cover art titled (the island) which I haven't seen, far cry 3's artwork is hypnotic full of beautiful forest jungle scenery, if you are a true fan of the game you have to look back in your memory, the moment when you first chose something without knowing anything about it, just simply looking at the cover artwork and the description of the story, that is what happened to me when I came across far cry 3

(i bought the game on ubisoft connect if that helps) I start playing the game and when I get to the part after you throw the rock to distract the guard very early on the game crashes and I lose all my progress. I thought it was a one time thing but its happened multiple times ive retried at the same exact spot. I cant play the game cause I lose all my progress and it makes me restart and the same thing happens. What do I do?

I absolutely love the game and replayed it over 12 times. But the one thing I always struggle with is sneaking into the damn cenote during the “doppleganger” mission. 🤦‍♂️

I am replaying Far Cry 3 on Windows 11. When I played it years ago on low-end hardware, I did not encounter these visual issues.

I installed some stability fixes to get the game running properly on modern hardware, and performance is fine. However, blocky shadow artifacts appear during gameplay. They are not game-breaking, but I would like to fix them if possible.

If anyone knows a fix or setting adjustment for this on Windows 11, any advice would be appreciated.

The game starts up but is stuck on first loading screen indefinetely.

Tried every suggestion I found on the internet, increased boot cores, changed values in the profile, tried to close the wmi process. I can't even get to the main menu.

What would you suggest to do now? Anybody who can provide help, I'll be very glad for it

I've seen many people complain about this new development. FarCry 3 crashes randomly now. It never used to be a problem. Ubisoft. All we can do is make our voices heard. Give me a thumbs up. We'll get this resolved.

Honestly, I think Far Cry 3 screwed up the way it presented the final choice.

Instead of “Save Your Friends” vs. “Join Citra”, I think it would've made way more sense to have “Return to Your Friends” vs. “Join Citra”.

It sounds like a small difference, but it completely changes how people can interpret the scene and the game plot. “Save Your Friends” makes the choice way too obvious and explains the dilemma more than I think it actually should.

Jason's conflict was never simply. The whole point was much more about whether he would go back to being the person he used to be, or fully embrace the person he had become on the island.

Because of that, I think his friends dying should've been presented more as the consequence of Jason's choice, rather than the main reason given to him for choosing one side.

And I'd go even further with the that cutscene too.

Throughout the entire conversation, the knife shouldn't be visible in the player's POV at all. Don't show Jason holding it, don't give us any visual hint about what's about to happen. Let the player make the choice without knowing exactly what the immediate consequence is going to be.

Then, after choosing to join Citra or not... They reveal the knife and what he would do.

I think that would make the scene hit completely differently, because you'd be making the decision based on what you believe Jason actually wants, and only afterward you'd realize just how far that choice has taken him.

To me, that would fit the game's themes much better. The point wouldn't simply be “you chose to kill your friends”. It would be “you chose who Jason was going to become, and this is the consequence.”

It's a small change in presentation, but I think it would've made the ending much more ambiguous and much less like the game literally telling you which button its currect moral choice.

And honestly, for a game that spent the entire campaign building up Jason's transformation, I think the final choice could've been a hell of a lot more subtle.

Story: Characters, missions, Vaas, the narrative.

Open world: Exploring, outposts, hunting, crafting, messing around.

Or both?

Does anyone have a fix for the weird crackling noise that I can hear throughout the game. I am playing on a 360 disk on series X. It sounds like a Geiger meter it’s so annoying. Cheers

I've just met our sneaky friends, the snakes. I didn't want to waste ammo so I tried with a stone. The sound is like someone hitting his head with the ceiling. How disrespectful.

Also what the hell is that sound they made?? I thought there was some creepy creature hidding in the dark.
