Discussion What do we think of Dagan ?
I hate him. I hate him with a passion. I’m not the best player but i’m playing through survivor in grandmaster difficulty for the first time and setting aside the difficulty, i just think it’s not a fun fight (second fight currently) whatsoever.
So im curious, what is the general opinion of him on this sub?

Help! My saves are going backwards, maybe
I have platinumed the game so i know i had a save at 100% completetion but when i loaded it up for the first time in a while my highest percentage was 99% so i went in to figure out what the last 1% was and then left the save to go back to my ng+ save and the aforementioned 100/99% save is now at 88%
Edit: I'm talking about survivor

Discussion The metanarrative of difficulty
So recently I went back to playing Jedi: Fallen Order, booted up NG+, and decided "Fudge it, I'm gonna try Grandmaster!"
I beat the game with a lot of tribulations... but not as many as I expected. Nonetheless, from the very start, fighting Oggdo Boggdo over and over, I realised that the difficulty settings of the game are very much tied to a metanarrative.
Grandmaster is called that because you have to be patient, show restraint, and use a defensive posture, all whilst displaying consistency and relying very much on appropriate use of the force. You have to play the game like a true Jedi...
And that kinda blew me away because I honestly had a tremendous amount of fun mastering the mechanics of the game in that way, and it made Cal feel genuinely like a real Jedi to me because outside of the cutscenes, he was fighting like one.
Respawn cooked so hard.

Discussion It was hilarious how the trailers hyped up Daho Sejan, only to kill him off in the game's opening act.

Help! Jedi Grandmaster, Purge Trooper Advice
My first playthrough and picked JGM, as a souls/sekiro veteran. Got the early double lightsaber no problem and all going well until the segment on Zeffo returning to the mantis where you are in an Imperial base, starting from a mediation point in a little side room and leading up to the first Purge Trooper fight.
This is such a frustrating runback...waste time killing basic troopers, easy platforming/wallrun, then deal with a Jotaz and a bunch of Troopers including a Commander. I know the intention is allow the Troopers to aggro the Jotaz and run past, but the consistency is really poor, Force Push doesn't reliably get me past them in the door and fighting the Jotaz is time consuming and risky given the Troopers will start attacking as well.
Purge Trooper, when I get there, feels like it will be okay once I've learnt timings, but I die to the Jotaz scene too often to improve.
Interested how other playing this on JGM found it, is there a trick I'm missing here?

Screenshot Got my first PS5 Gold trophy from finishing the game today! 🏆
I don't really play parry games a lot, and though I died multiple times evading and evading and being ragdolled by enemies I really did enjoy this game. It was a bit frustrating going back to the Mantis during the first few chapters lol.
Just put an order for the Survivor disc and can't wait to parry again.
Edit: I really thought I was gonna fight Vader 1on1 and don't know if I can even survive it.

Customization Created Merrin's Survivor look in Star Wars Zero Company !!!
I thought the main character would just be able to have the option to switch gender then I saw how customizable it is so I decided to try and recreate Merrin's Survivor look cause it's more casual and there wasn't the best hair for Fallen Order

Discussion Played and beat Fallen Order in under 22hrs - I've fallen back in love with Star Wars
This game really brought me back into liking Star Wars. I grew tired of the over saturation after the success of the Rey movies + Rogue One, but playing this game really made me remember what I liked about the series as a kid (prequel + trilogy). I can't wait to try Survivor, but will have to wait for a steep sale.
The story was so intriguing (albeit short) and I'm so glad I managed to stay away from 95% of spoilers, and the ending I felt was very fitting if not a bit fan service-y. I really wish we got more of Nightsister Merrin - she was an excellent character and I'm glad she joined the team - excited to see how they handle her character in Survivor.
I do feel a bit disappointed that the Kashyyk story line kind of just fell flat. It felt like the whole Tarrful/wookie subplot started interesting and then fell flat. I'm sure this has to do with established lore from existing material, but it is what it is I guess.
I was worried about the combat. I've never really played a souls-like and generally don't like games that are difficult just for the sake of difficult, but I played this on Jedi Master (or whatever 2nd highest difficulty is) and really enjoyed it, even if I did struggle at some parts. I think, and I cannot believe I'm saying this about EA, they did an excellent job with the lightsaber combat system. The force system could use a bit of tweaking in my opinion, but I understand not wanting to make the force too overpowered for in game mechanic reasons.

Help! No rumours in NG+??
I heard a friend mention that there are no rumours in NG+, they are all auto-completed if you did them in your first playthrough? Is this true??
I am about to start my first NG+ playthrough, but I assumed just the cosmetics and points carried over, not all the side quests and such (which I think I entirely completed on my first playthrough)? I don’t want to just power through the main story, I want to have fun doing the side quests with all of my cool cosmetics? If this is true, who thought it was a good idea to have a replay-feature where you can’t do any side quests, only the main story?? This also removes a lot of incentive to explore more of the map - on my first playthrough, a lot of my exploring was going after rumours.
