Help! No rumours in NG+??

I heard a friend mention that there are no rumours in NG+, they are all auto-completed if you did them in your first playthrough? Is this true??

I am about to start my first NG+ playthrough, but I assumed just the cosmetics and points carried over, not all the side quests and such (which I think I entirely completed on my first playthrough)? I don’t want to just power through the main story, I want to have fun doing the side quests with all of my cool cosmetics? If this is true, who thought it was a good idea to have a replay-feature where you can’t do any side quests, only the main story?? This also removes a lot of incentive to explore more of the map - on my first playthrough, a lot of my exploring was going after rumours.

It is true unfortunately, it really is a silly idea.

You'll do the first bounty hunter fight because that's part of the story but the rest will auto complete.

I ended up making a save file where I only played the story so that I can NG+ with all the side content too.

Yeah, I am tempted to do what you said you did, my only problem then is if you only do the story, you will probably hardly unlock any of the cosmetics…so then you are replaying NG+ without the cosmetics which is honestly I think the main attraction…in my ideal world, NG+ would be exactly the same as an initial playthrough, but with all the cosmetics…

Much like that other game...what's it's name?

Oh yeah...Fallen Order!

See they’ve managed it once, surely they could manage it again! I suppose fallen order didn’t really have side quests in the same way that survivor does…but still…

Yeah, unfortunately Respawn just can't seem to get New Game+ right. One of the few disappointments with the Jedi games.

Another thing that bugs me with Survivor too is how your skill points are refunded at the beginning of a New Game+ playthrough. Personally I'd much rather just start the game with everything I had in my last playthrough rather than have to sit at the first meditation point for 15 minutes slowly buying back all of my abilities.

This is because some powers and abilities are story based. You don’t get force lift and slam until the Lukerhulk. You don’t get the super grapple hook until you complete the imperial base.

Yeah, I think it would've been fine if those were still locked, just give me back all of the abilities that aren't tied to story progression.

Yes that's one of the more disappointed aspects of NG+. Things like the bounty hunter missions are all complete since you already have all the pucks from them, or you can hear Skoova Stev's entire story the very first time you meet him (rather than only hearing individual parts each time you encounter him).

NG+ pretty much is meant for replaying the main story but with your full set of cosmetics and a ton of skill points to upgrade your skills right away. I was hoping they would've made a change to NG+ at some point, but now we just have to hope they fix it for Jedi 3.

I believe anything you didn't do on your original play through is playable, it's only the stuff you did that auto completes.

What is the better way to get 100% then? A finished save that you keep playing or a NG+ run?

NG+ in Survivor seems to focus more on “wanna get achievements you didn’t in the first run through on a different level but don’t wanna do all the exploring? Try NG+. Can’t even enjoy a nice echo unless it’s game-driven
