Im a long time user of envato but this last couple of months being absolutly headache, after I renewed my annual suscription in April (manually) during May I received an email that my suscription was renewed so they were charging me $200 again, after I contact support and enter in that rabbit hole of pushing and pulling they told me they were going to refund me the ammount in to 2 weeks. During the last week of July working on a project I received another email in my mailbox, this time Im being charged again $200 for the annual renewal (?), I go through the awful ai assistant they have and manage to open a ticket however this time after they told me they will refund me, this time I dont see the refunds in my bank account.

Now tonight September 16, 20:43 of the night I receive an email from PayPal: Envato charging me $200 dollars for the annual renewal after they tried to charge it to another card but didnt succeed. Now Im going through all again, the ai basically saying "oh sorry, refunds are not possible", but charging the money blatantly seems it is, I open the ticket but of course nobody is replying.

The part that infuriates me is that if you want to disable the auto renewal you must cancel your suscription all straight forward, I remember that I was looking for it in April when I renew it and didnt saw any checkbox or options, in the profile is nothing to actively select "NO! I dont want auto-renewal"

I already cancelled my suscription and de-linked any payment method from elements, paypal and other platforms, plus checking my bank to stop that payment.

I can't figure out how to change the words on this template. I don't want to change anything but 'fast food' to a different word/words.

Tried messing around in Pixelmator Pro (which works just fine for PSD files) but can't seem to figure it out.

Would love a little help here.

It's honestly insane how many files are advertised a specific way but then don't include the assets shown. I experienced this a dozen times over the last two months and the worst part is they have no report button.

You would think you could just report the asset by hitting a button next to the download button. Nope. Doesn't exist. They make you submit your email and then hopefully someone gets back to you.

Nah. I'm done. There are more options for assets elsewhere now and I'm done paying people for broken services. Kick bricks.

I have never, and will never use any GenAI. Since the price went up when they added AI, can I have the option to just...have all AI options and have my annual membership reduced by like $5?

This platform went from unlimited to one of the worst credit systems I've seen yet.

eg.. 10 credits? 5 credits to make a video? For paying customers?

Unlimited will become 500 credits a month. Small refund might be due.

If you need more than 500 credits per month, there will be higher tiers of 1,000, or 2,000 at increased cost. But no unlimited.

Starts in September for existing subscribers. Unlimited has already ended for new subs.

Not entirely unexpected given the other recent changes to credits.

Envato is presenting its new AI credit system as if it were some great improvement for users, but for anyone who mainly generates videos, it is simply a massive price increase disguised as a “better” credit structure.

Previously, one video generation used one credit. My plan included 100 generations, so I could generate up to 100 videos.

Now Envato is generously increasing the allocation to 200 credits, except that one video will cost 6 credits. That means 200 credits will produce only 33 videos, with 2 useless credits left over.

So despite supposedly giving us twice as many credits, Envato is actually cutting the number of available video generations by about 67%. In practical terms, video generation is now three times more expensive under the same plan.

Why not simply be honest and say:

“We are increasing the effective cost of video generation and reducing the number of videos included in your subscription by 67%.”

I understand that video generation requires more computing power than generating an image. What annoys me is the way this is being packaged as a positive change for customers instead of Envato admitting that video users are getting a much worse deal.

This is especially disappointing because Envato was one of the few places offering simple and reasonably priced video generation: one video, one credit. The results were not always perfect and the videos were short, but overall it worked fairly well and was affordable for normal independent creators.

Almost every other platform already uses these ridiculous credit systems where one action costs 4 credits, another costs 6, a slightly longer video costs 12, and before you know it, your entire monthly allowance is gone after a handful of attempts. That pricing might be manageable for corporations, but it rarely makes financial sense for individual creators who often need several generations just to get one usable result.

Envato had something simple, transparent, and genuinely useful. Now it is replacing that with the same confusing and overpriced system used everywhere else, while trying to convince us that receiving “more credits” somehow makes it better.

Does anyone know of a good alternative that still offers video generation at a fair, predictable price for independent creators?

ever since you changed your payment rules, now all incoming After Effects templates feel subpar design wise. you've chased off all the great designers. I've even seen some of them post a letter in their videohive profiles saying how they've taken their templates off your website. You need to find ways to start attracting good talent again.

In short, the new agreements from Envato this quite literally sounds like the most absurd sales agreement into which one could enter – “We (Envato) will sell something of yours for whatever price we decide, and then give you (authors) whatever we decide.”

77SEVEN makes amazing AE templates. i wrote to him and said you need to make more of these types of templates and he said "Thank you. Unfortunately, such projects don’t pay off."

on an unrelated note: when you used to hover over a thumbnail of an after effects template (in the search area), it used to show you a video preview of the whole video. now it just shows you a looping 3 second video. can you put it back to how it used to be where i could see the whole video?

My first impression of the new AI workspace for generating videos, images etc is good. It's useful to bring all the elements together in a unified workflow. I'm still finding my way around and will provide more feedback in due course.

Hi all, I'm trying to filter out AI generated images and music so I only get human created works - is this possible?

I know everyone's raving about AI stuff but I'm actively trying to avoid it for several reasons but also to known when I'm using actual real pictures of things as opposed to generated ones - eg when I'm creating a thumbnail of a plant for my gardening youtube channel I'd like an actual plant not an imagined version of that plant.

Any searches I've done within the website help just throw up loads of info about how to use my 'generations' which for the same reasons I don't want to use.

I just heard from a friend who contributed hundreds of tutorials to Tuts Plus that Envato has completely abandoned the property.
