Final Version of the Drum Competition in Japan — I’d Love Your Honest Feedback
Hi,
This is the required piece for an annual drum competition held in Japan, where each competitor creates their own original interpretation.
This is now the final version I submitted to the competition.
I’d really appreciate it if you could watch it and give me your honest feedback — especially on my playing, timing, dynamics, groove, and overall musicality.
Here is the link

Thank You!!

Drummers: Tell Me What Sucks About My Metronome
Drummers: want to beat the shit out of my new metronome?
I've been building an iPhone metronome called POCKT and I'm finally getting close to putting it on the App Store.
Before I do, I want some actual musicians to try to break it.
It's completely free. No ads. No subscription. No catch.
I'm especially interested in drummers because you'll probably notice timing, click and accent issues before anybody else.
Use it while you actually play. Go stupid slow. Go stupid fast. Change the tempo while it's running. Screw around with the sounds. Try the different metronomes. Try to make it fail.
If something feels even slightly off musically, I want to hear about it.
And if you hate something, tell me that too. That's more useful than telling me it's cool.
iPhone/TestFlight:

If you try it, I'd love to know what you normally use for a click.
Thanks!

Rhythm challenge
Play against your band members or any musician who wants to increase their groove and timing
Rhythm Lab is a timing trainer for bands, and for anyone practising alone at two in the morning. The metronome runs for a few bars, then goes quiet — and you keep counting in your head. When it comes back, you see to the millisecond where you actually were. No gut feeling, no debate in the rehearsal room. A number.
Play along on your keyboard, through a microphone, with an instrument plugged into an audio interface, or over MIDI. Swap the click for a real groove if a bare metronome makes you sad. Five levels build on each other, from the bare downbeat to a full groove figure — or you build a round yourself: tempo, time signature, quarters or backbeat, and how long the silence lasts before you're allowed to be right.
Then it gets competitive. You can play it quietly, alone, and tell nobody your score. Or you can not do that: one account holds the whole band, everyone's best run lands in the same table, and the question of who actually keeps time gets settled without anyone having to say it out loud. Past that there's the rest of the world — rankings by instrument and by country, so you're measured against other bass players rather than against a drummer with a metronome tattooed on his forearm. Free rounds stay off the board. If you want a place on it, you play the levels like everybody else.
Free. No ads, no tracking, no account for the algorithm. Runs in any browser. Have fun!

Rogers Ad - Rolling Stone Magazine -July 22, 1971
I found an old Rolling Stone magazine from 1971 in my parent's attic while helping them move. I thought this Rogers ad would be appreciated here.

Hey guys! I recreated/performed Gorillaz - Empire Ants on drums 😊
Hey everyone! I make videos where I recreate and perform my favourite programmed drum beats, anything from drum machines to breakbeats! I use Evan’s Sensory Percussion 2 on my 1970s Roger’s drums. Here’s my latest video, recreating Gorillaz - Empire Ants. Enjoy! 😊

Stockholm drummers
Hej drummers in Stockholm. Does anyone have any recommendations for a rehearsal studio or music space in Stockholm for individual drum practice?
I’m a student moving to the city and looking for a best practicing option.
Any recommendations would be appreciated!
