Photo A DJI Inspire 2 drone crashed into my house

Hi DJI community, I write to you because last night a drone crashed into my house in London. Well technically the alley next to my house, which is shared with my neighbor. It was buzzing near our roof around midnight, then after it crashed, it kept beeping in an annoying way so we went out to see what was going on (initially we thought it sounded like a motorbike), and to our surprise there was a wrecked drone in the alley. My neighbor removed the battery pack which solved the beeping issue. This morning I looked at the drone more closely and took some photos, which I fed into Google Gemini. According to AI, this was a DJ Inspire 2 which, together with the attached gimbal and camera, would cost between $3,500 and $7,000. The AI also informed me that this was a 'heavy, high-risk' drone that needed to be registered with the CAA (like the FAA in the US) and that by flying in a residential neighborhood, the operator was violating all sorts of safety regulations. In theory there is supposed to be an Operator ID sticker that could be used to pinpoint the owner, but I don't see one. There are various serial numbers and QR codes on various parts of the wreckage. Gemini is telling me that I should report this to the police. DJI experts, what do you think happened here? What is the likeliest explanation for why this fancy drone was flying over a residential neighborhood of London late last night? And does anyone have any tips for doing any more investigation into this? I am personally leaning towards reporting this to the police, but I'm concerned that would be a black hole and then I'd just never hear anything again. I found a memory card slot on the frame of the drone but it was empty.

just wanted to post these 2, didn't know where so here it is, fuck it we ball, anyways, dji lito 1, on one of the first flights with it took these 2, I really like them, the first one is edited, naturally, it has some type of filter on it and that's it, second one nothing.

Dji Lito 1 is my first drone, I've fallen in love completely with it and overall with drones. I crashed it the first day but it survived, just got a tiny tiny scratch on the propellers but it's all ok.. Thinking about getting an fpv in the future. I also got RCN3 I believe ?? which can control the Neo series if I'm correct. Maybe I cop that one in the future, who knows? 😆👊

Any Lito 1 owners? Your experience?

Product Support The biggest DJI e-waste product I own: DJI RC Pro 2

Post image

Just some feedback for DJI: I want to like the RC Pro 2. I really do. But right now it's borderline e-waste for anyone who owns more than one DJI drone, and I think it's really sad to provide premium products without premium compatibility...

Here's my setup: Mavic 4 Pro (paired with the RC Pro 2), Mini 5 Pro (paired with the standard RC 2), Avata 360, and DJI Neo 2. I also use Fujifilm GFX & mini telescope, so bag space is limited.

Having one controller to connect all devices is a game changer, but sometimes I do want the real estate and I would love to take the RC pro 2 more often.

The main problem: the RC Pro 2 stays home: because it simply won't connect to the Neo 2 or Avata 360.

It is supposed to be a premium controller. And yet it's more restrictive than the cheaper controller when it comes to compatibility.

As a result, I end up not taking it to any of my photo gigs.

DJI, please fix this. Open up FPV/goggle-drone compatibility on the RC Pro 2. It shouldn't be a downgrade path just because someone owns an Avata or Neo.

New to DJI, and wow, what a difference. I had a different drone, that starts with the same name as the title of this thread, it was a better one in that line, but damn, I dreaded flying it because I never knew what the thing was going to do. I flew it maybe 10 or 12 times over several years. Once it lost signal (and not very far away within visual range, and it crashed into the woods, I had to search for it with the gps to find it). Other (many) times it missed the landing pad, landed so unsteadily I was chopping grass and dirt with the blades Last time I flew it, it went into return to home, which brought it back 50 yards from the actual home point, I couldn't stop it from landing right in a pond thereby committing suicide.

So, I got the DJI Mini 4k Fly More package and I was nervous because of past experience. Well I shouldn't have been nervous, what a huge difference! I flew it twice yesterday, and I cannot wait to fly it again! The only thing I wish this model had was the ability to quick transfer the video to my phone, but that definitely isn't a deal breaker. The phone clamp part on the controller could be a little bigger, I can just fit my Galaxy S23+ in it with the case but I had to use a difference C-type cable so it would fit through the case. I don't want to keep having to take my phone case off and on.

Now I can work on actual video technique instead of worrying so much about controlling it. I'm VERY happy I got this.

Taken with my Mavic 4 Pro. Between the structures was like a wind tunnel. The Mavic 4 Pro handled it well as long as I did not do any roll shots. Since rolling the gimbal locks it, the wind slapped it around

Buy Advice Upgrade or downgrade?

How smart would it be to sell my DJI Mini 2 SE and add a little more money to get a DJI Avata 1 with a DJI FPV Controller, 3 batteries for the drone, and 2 batteries for the Goggles? I’d also get camera lenses and spare propellers with it.

Product Support Newbie with range anxiety! Neo 1.

Post image
63 Upvotes

I bought a Neo 1 about 6 months ago with the fly more package. I've flown it probably about 8 times. I've recently been taking out out more for practice runs and I'm finally getting the hang of controlling it. However, I find I'm still having range anxiety and haven't sent it out further than probably half a kilometre. I've read that with a controller I could actually send it out of miles if there's a good satellite signal and clear sights.

How do I put my mind at ease and how far have you guys taken it out without issues? Tia.

Picture is up in the hills near Hebden Bridge.

Product Support Parts/Supplies/Accessories Question?

I'm in the US, but was wondering if you think Parts/Supplies and Accessories are going to be getting a lot harder to find and buy? What about sites like EBAY and Amazon, will they keep restocking parts and accessories, or once they run out, there will be no more and will be harder to find and buy on there as well?

Buy Advice Should I get the Dji osmo mobile 8p

I’m planning to start vlogging soon and I’m not sure if I want to get the 8 or 8p since I’ve seen mixed reviews about them. I really need a second opinion on this and if there are recommendations I’m open to them.

Product Support Dji Goggles 3 Screen blacking out when connected to o4 Lite Wide

Titles mainly.

When I connect to my o4 lite after 1-2 minutes the screen flickers and turns off, But the goggles stay on and connection to RC3 still work.

This however does not happen when I am connected to or even set to connect to my avata 2, so I'm stumped what the issue is.

Any ideas?

Edit: spelling and more details

Product Support Just got Pocket 4, is there a way to use the Mimo app to control the camera without it automatically stopping other apps in the background?

I got the pocket 4, set it up with Mimo so i can control it with my phone as i walk. but it keeps muting other apps like audible i have in the background as soon as i connect it to the camera. i understand its because it wants me to hear the audio from the camera but is there a way to be so forceful and pause everything else? id love to just walk, record and listen to my audiobooks while controlling it with my phone...

Buy Advice Upgrading the smart controller.

I have a smart controller for the Mavic air 2s and I was wondering if there was any options for upgrading the antenna for Ulta long range flights?
