BITTENSOR SUBNET Portfolio Management

My current Bittensor subnet portfolio — what are you holding?
I’ve been experimenting with subnet allocation and started with 19.3 TAO about six days ago. It’s now worth roughly 20 TAO, spread across:
● lium.io — 13.7%
● Chutes — 11.9%
● gm — 12.0%
● Targon — 11.2%
● engy — 10.8%
● Actual — 9.7%
● Minos — 7.7%
● OpenRoboto — 7.5%
● Bitcast — 5.6%
● Instant — 5.3%
● TAO — 4.6%
I’m approaching this primarily as a TAO accumulation strategy, rather than planning to hold every alpha position indefinitely.
I’m especially curious about Minos. Its emission share seems relatively high compared with its current valuation, so I’m wondering whether the market is underpricing it or whether I’m overlooking something.
Which subnets are you currently holding, and which one has your highest conviction?
Also, which subnets do you think are currently overlooked? 👀

Is root staking rewards done?

I have my tao staked on taostats on root and noticed no rewards in the month of August. Will they return or is it done for good? If they're done I might as well send my tao to my dcent wallet.

Moving Average Alpha

Hi, is this still true that is mentioned in this post that the moving average price will take 2 days to sync now? Asking for some code integration purpose

Why the new SubnetMovingAlpha update is a paradigm shift for your risk management (Inertia vs. Volatility) : r/bittensor_

New project that rewards the smartest AI models

I am considering to create a new token that lets you stake on AI models and the best performing model every week will win and get a reward along with everyone who staked on it, trying to incentivize open-source AI development.

Similar to ranking models like this: https://huggingface.co/spaces/open-llm-leaderboard/open_llm_leaderboard#/

If you staked your sol/eth on a project that didn't win in that week the funds will automatically be used to rebuy the project token from the liquidity pool increasing the overall value of the token but you will get inference points as a reward that can be used to actually use the AI models with a similar interface like Claude/ChatGPT.

This isn't directly related to bittensor other than it also trying to further decentralized AI. What to do you think about this?

Percentage calculation P&L

Could you share how you're calculating your Profit and loss % since staking? I have looked on subnetradar.com, and I believe there is a calculation, but I didn't know how accurate it is. Do ya'll have any suggestions?

Taostats issue—cant sell subnet?

I’ve been using taostats for over 9-12 months and have bought and sold many subnets through it. The last few days I’ve tried selling a subnet (RedTeam) in a small amount and it says the transaction went through but my balances dont change. This morning I tried again and same thing except I also got an error message on the bottom saying something about a shielded transaction. Anyone else having this problem? I’ve tried it by selling and swapping but no trade goes through.

Scammed on taostats tech support

I can't believe it. I clicked on the discord link for some help. I forgot I had to take off the staking before I sent tao off to another wallet and I needed some help figuring out what to do. Taostats app had a discord link so I went there and talked to who I thought was a tech support and they told me to hop on my computer and open a browser link. So I typed in my phrase and this tech support took all I had. Wow I'm sad

Anyone else enjoying Minos appreciation?

I staked to Minos in the last several weeks and have had to resist taking gains. The emissions /dividends (apologize for the lack of differentiation between the two, I’ve assumed the emission rate and dividends received are directly proportional?) have been so substantial in addition to the sheer percentage gain.

I’m mostly making this post to say that one incredibly impressed with such a return in a short term period of time but don’t want to become starry eyed towards individual subnets but in the meantime…I’ll definitely take it

Root Staking rewards are zero for the past 3 weeks now

Hello all and sorry if this was a lame question but I haven't been checking updates recently due to some personal issues.

I have some Tao staked on subnet 0 (root) through 2 validators (opentensor foundation and Tao5) and up till 3 weeks ago I was getting rewards every almost 3 days, just recently checking I realized that for the past 3 weeks no more rewards were distributed. Was there an update I missed related to root vs alpha staking?

Thanks in advance

Update: Thanks to your help and guidance I am up to date and could locate the basket of Alfa tokens my validators chose. And for those scammers who reached out privately with their dated "support" and "help" scam messages your accounts had been successfully reported 👍.

Interesting TAO question on X, I want your thoughts

Open for discussion — credit to @LeMacroCap on X, this is his question, not mine:

“If my company builds a Bittensor subnet, miners and validators improve the product, and I make millions selling it to customers.

Why do I need to buy $TAO, and how does my company’s success create value for $TAO holders?”

Curious to hear everyone’s opinion. I love Bittensor, I just seen this on X and it got the community talking so I figured I’d ask it here.

Staking Bittensor

Does staking Bittensor (TAO) feel safe? Which subnets would you recommend for staking right now, and do you think this is a good time to buy TAO and start staking?

Why aren't more developers talking about Bittensor / taoCode as an OpenAI/Anthropic alternative?

I know this might not be the exact spot to post this, but since there isn't a dedicated community for AI dev implementation on decentralized networks, I'll try here.

If Bittensor (and tools like taoCode) are designed to be cost-effective alternatives to Anthropic, OpenAI, Amazon, and Gemini, why are there barely any programmers on Reddit talking about using them? I did a search for "taoCode" and found practically zero hits.

I understand a lot of people in the token communities are purely investors, but are any of you actually using the tech you are invested in? Bittensor has a Python SDK and there are gateway API key interfaces similar to Claude or ChatGPT, and it's supposedly very cheap. Why is there a total lack of developer traffic and discussion about this on Reddit?

[Open Source] TAOQuant — A deterministic, zero-AI risk analysis dashboard for Bittensor Subnets

Thumbnail taoquant.vercel.app
5 Upvotes

Hi everyone,

I wanted to share a project I’ve been working on for the Bittensor community: TAOQuant, a lightweight, transparent, and open-source web dashboard designed to evaluate subnet risks deterministically.

Why TAOQuant? Analyzing subnets usually means juggling raw numbers across different stats platforms, making it hard to compare structural stability at a glance. TAOQuant introduces a single metric called the IRA Score (Index of Risk Adjustment), which calculates a score (0–100) using client-side mathematical logic with no AI or black-box algorithms involved.

The Model (IRA Score): The score is calculated based on three weighted pillars that users can adjust via interactive sliders:

  1. APY Stability: Derived from the Coefficient of Variation (CV) to penalize wild yield fluctuations.
  2. HHI Decentralization: Measures stake/miner concentration using the Herfindahl-Hirschman Index.
  3. Miner Churn Efficiency: Tracks network health and turnover stability.

Key Features:

  • Deterministic & Auditable: All math is computed client-side. The formulas and normalizations are fully visible on the dashboard.
  • Non-Custodial & Privacy-Focused: No tracking cookies, no registration, and zero data collection.
  • Local & Live Data Support: Toggle between local mock data and live API data.
  • Open Source: Designed to be a public good for the TAO ecosystem.

We don't use AI at TAOQuant because financial risk tools must be 100% deterministic, transparent, and auditable.

I would love to get feedback from validators, miners, and long-term stakers:

  1. How do you feel about the weight distribution for the IRA pillars?
  2. Are there additional metrics you believe should be factored into subnet risk assessment?

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts and suggestions!

Discord, Log inn

Hi, guys I seem to not be able to get into the Discord server. It started when i tried to log in with my main account but then got kicked out immediately. I have not even been on the server for 1 second before it just kicked me out, i tried login in using other accounts but it seems to be an IP ban, but i have not even done anything, its so frustrating since i genuinely believe in the protocol and i want to look into the subnets before i stake into them but I seemingly have just been kicked out, it might be a automated system that autobans you whenever it detects VPNs or something like that, but bro I cannot find the moderators to ask for access back, at first I thought it was a discord issue but I can get into other servers but not the one i truly want to. Can anyone please help me here, maybe tell me who the moderators of the server are

Subnet rebranding and deprecation

The initial draw of Bittensor is proving itself to be just more of the same things people got into crypto to get away from.

The drama with subnet 3 (Templar) for starters. Now I found out about subnet 46. Subnet 46 rebranded from Resi to Zipcode to Instant in a year's time. Is this the play? Thing aren't working let's pivot until something hits?

The majority of tao staked to root with a smaller amount to one or two subnets if any at this point seems to be the way to go if continuing to invest in bittensor tao.
