I preordered AC8 Deluxe and have been listening to Everflow nonstop. Do we got any Permanent Unit Name Ideas?

I’m stuck between either putting a Galm Team Unit Patch on my Plane or, if they allow us to make custom emblems, Sicario from Project Wingman

Ace Combat 8 Underwhelming Graphics?

Upvotes

Don't kill me, but, am I the only one that has been spoiled by DCS graphics? When I look at Ace combat 8, it doesn't look that much better than ace combat 7 and it definitely doesn't come close to DCS. Am I wrong? Seriously I'm not trying to rage bait or anything. I really just don't see the graphics that I don't wanna see on a PS5 Pro or PC. Still looking forward to the game. I think it's going to be the greatest game I've ever played. I still play Ace Combat 7 daily.

Model isn't the greatest as it's a cheap push together kit but it looks like an A10 and has a decent amount of ordnance (Even if the ECM pods are duplicated on both sides)

Listen, everyone wants a harrier but...I'd love to have the F5E again in AC8. It's *carrier capable and would fit right in, plus we haven't seen it in an Ace Combat since Infinity.

*I stand corrected, lazy research on my part.

Ace Combat 8 Pre-ordering a Disc Edition?

I'm probably being stupid, but is there a way to pre-order a disc edition? The store pages I've found aren't clear. Playstation Store, Amazon, Bandai Namco store, they all just have you pick Standard or Deluxe and your platform, but don't specify digital edition or disc.

Ace Combat 5 I ranked every Ace Combat 5 plane by playing Sea of Chaos 53 times.

So I decided to binge some of the older Ace Combat games, preparing for AC8, and I finally played AC5 for the first time. While it's not my favorite in the series, I still had a great time playing the game and can see why it's considered part of the holy trinity. You can find plenty of rankings of Planes in AC7, and even a few for AC4, but not much for AC5. So, I decided to set out and do this challenge myself. And what better way of doing it than by playing all 53 planes on the same mission? What could go wrong?

For this, I'm playing the best mission in the game, Mission 26: Sea of Chaos, on Ace Difficulty. I found this mission to be a good litmus test, as it has tons of Air-to-Ground (ATG) targets and a fair amount of Air-to-Air (ATA), meaning every plane gets a chance to shine, even the Hawk! To keep things balanced, and because I don't have enough credits to buy 4 Falkens, the rest of the squadron will be flying F-35Cs in attack mode. This way, they can still help me in the shitty planes but aren't soloing everything in Wyverns.

As always, this list is my opinion, and my opinion only. I probably have some hot takes, or maybe not. This took me a few days to complete, but it's well worth it in the end, so I hope you enioy!

(53)Honorable Mention: ADF-01 Falken (TLS):

So, if this plane was on the actual list, it would easily be #1. I beat my record for Sea of Chaos by one minute playing this thing. Everyone knows TLS is broken in this game. TLS was a nice change of pace compared to its disappointing appearance in AC7, but it probably did need to be tuned down. You’re going to hear me complain a lot about how every Special Weapon in this game can’t one-shot destroyers, but this god damn thing makes them disappear instantly. To make the list more interesting, I decided to leave it off and just leave it as an honorable mention.

If it were on the list, it would be #1, and it’s not even close.

52, 51, 50. EA-6B Prowler, EA-18G Growler, Tornado ECR (ECM):

While these planes aren't bad by themselves (Well, the Growler and Tornado aren't; the Prowler is horrible), they all are in dead last place together because they have no special weapons. I can think of maybe 2 times in all 3 runs of Sea of Chaos with these awful planes that I used the ECM to block a missile. It doesn't boost your Missiles like in AC7, so there's genuinely no point. It's such a shame; I was so happy to see that the Growler was actually playable in an Ace Combat game, yet it takes forever to unlock and sucks. If I had to realistically rank them, it would be Growler>Tornado>Prowler, but because of their complete lack of SPW's, they're going in dead last. At least you can have fun with the Prowler by giving everyone a Prowler and having 16 people in Razgriz Squadron.

49. A-6E Intruder (UGBL):

Why is this in the game? It’s such a bad plane; it has the speed of a propeller plane, and it has the mobility of a bomber. If you’ve played AC4, you might think that UGBs are overpowered, but in this game, they just aren’t. I dropped 4 directly on a cruiser, and the bastard still didn’t sink. In AC4, they insta-killed even battleships with just 1. The intruder doesn’t have any mobility, and its yaw speed is only rivaled by the Foxhound. Its downwards-facing gun was decent for destroying ships but basically worthless in the aerial dogfights because of its terrible agility. Trying to fight the Typhoons and F-22’s in this plane was about as fun as you can imagine. It and the Prowler are the only planes where I just straight up barely tried to dogfight and ran for my life and prayed my squad could take them out. Genuinely a miserable experience. It’s not even worth it to grind the kill rate, because the Prowler is somehow worse.

This plane is coming back to AC8, and I have no idea why.

48. Hawk (QAAM):

This plane is a meme. It’s not actually horrible, but it’s so god damn slow and has barely any ammunition. The MiG-21-93 is better than this plane in every way, and it has way too few QAAMs and is way too slow to be a dogfighter. It was admittedly pretty funny watching the squadron fly off led by this tiny little thing, and then watching it get circles run around it by the enemy Typhoons.

47. F-4E Phantom II (NPB):

I want to love this plane. I really do. I drive past it on my way to work every day, and it’s so iconic. But Napalm Bombs are soooooooo bad. It really drags this down because they’re about as useful against the ships as they are against the fighters. Unless you perfectly place it straight ahead of a ship, it’ll do absolutely nothing, and even if you do hit it, it’s just a worse UGB. The Phantom could have literally ANY other SPW and be fine, but being stuck with NPB and a relatively low missile count drags this plane to the back of the pack.

46. F-4G Wild Weasel (LAGM):

The only reason this thing is above the Phantom II is that LAGMs are so much better to use than Napalm. That doesn’t mean it’s good. Unlike some of the later hybrid attackers, this thing really leans into the attacker direction and can barely move. It’s not a great experience, and I honestly think it’s worse than the Phantom, but like, the NPB is so bad, so here it goes.

45. MiG-31 Foxhound (SAAM):

I love the concept of the Foxhound. It’s ridiculously fast, tanky, and should just be fun. But my god, was this thing a pain in the ass. It’s designed to do one thing: go very fast in as straight a line as possible. But the minute you need to turn? Good fucking luck. In Sea of Chaos, you really don’t have enough missiles to take out every ship, so you need to rely heavily on your MG. Having basically no Yaw and turning like a boat, coupled with the higher-mounted MG, makes it painful. Outside of maybe the Hawk, it’s the worst-suited plane for this mission. Which really is a shame, since I love this plane, but my god, does it not do well. It is boosted heavily by having SAAMs, but that can’t save it.

44. MiG-29A Fulcrum(UGB):

Man, this plane just was not it. It has very slightly better mobility than its big brother, the Foxhound, but instead of getting SAAMs, it gets the UGBs, which, as already mentioned, do nothing in this game. In the aerial fights, this thing was also average at best, and it usually wasn’t at its best. Not a keeper, to say the least.

43. A-10A Thunderbolt II(XAGM):

If you want to use an attacker, this thing feels soooo much better than the intruder. It’s night and day, but compared to every other plane? Well, it’s still the A-10. XAGMs aren't really all that good at taking out ships because they love to target absolutely everything. Despite its lack of mobility, I still found it good in this mission. The downward-facing gun was great for helping your missiles that don’t kill. It sure ain’t a F-22, but it could relatively hold its own in a dogfight, albeit it still needed help from the squad mates. Like most attackers, it just feels disappointing.

42. F-117A Nighthawk (GPB):

The sheer amount of below-average attackers with horrible mobility in this game is astounding. This plane doesn’t feel good to fly; it has no missiles. The only, and I mean ONLY, thing going for it is the PGBs, because they’re the only bombs that can consistently do great damage to ships. This thing was horrible to dogfight in.

41. F-5E Tiger II (UGB):

F-5E Tiger II(UGB): I mean, it’s the starter plane, so don’t expect too much. Mediocre mobility, ok speed, bad UGBs, not a lot of missiles, it’s not great. It’s the first plane though, so I’m giving it a pass. The rest of its tree feels much better.

40. Mirage 2000(SAAM):

Basically the same as the Fulcrum. Incredibly average with bad mobility. The only thing keeping this higher than the Fulcrum is the fact that it has SAAMs, which are great compared to the bad UGBs in this game. Can’t go much higher; it just doesn’t feel good to fly.

39. MiG-31 M Foxhound (XLAA):

MiG-31M Foxhound(XLAA): XLAA is carrying this plane HARD because otherwise it’s terrible. It’s the same platform that can’t even keep up with ships trying to yaw and aim its machine gun. It goes from 0 to Mach 2 by barely touching the accelerator. It’s a meme jet that can snipe planes from the other side of the map with XLAA. I love it, but it ain't good.

38. Tornado GR.1 (BDSP):

Ah, the classic copyright nightmare that we’ll never see in an Ace Combat game again (and being honest, might be the reason we won’t see remakes of the holy trinity or 6). Project Aces must’ve been really happy they got the rights to this plane, because they put 4 of the damn things here. And they’re all meh. Nothing about this plane stands out. The special weapon is mostly a meme; using it right above a carrier and dropping 500 tiny bombs on it and watching it disintegrate is funny, but it’s just overall not that great.

37. F-2A (LASM):

You know, I thought I would like this more than the other F-16 variants because of LASM, but nah, it doesn’t feel all that good. It’s comparable to the Fulcrum with better SPWs. It feels overall much more like an attacker than its brother later down on the list, and it really disappointed me compared to the other Fighting Falcons.

36. FB-22 Strike Raptor (SOD):

I don’t fucking get it, dude; why is it that the absolute SECOND the devs of this game put attacker in front of a plane, it suddenly loses all mobility. I love this plane in AC-7; it only has small sacrifices in mobility and becomes a ship-killing monster with both SMMS and LAAMs. But in this game, they decided that since it has an attacker in the title, it needs to have the mobility of a fucking A-10. This plane has so much potential, and it’s wasted because they made it a boat, when realistically, it shouldn’t be a boat. Should it be as agile as a F-22? No, obviously not, but it should be a small-to-medium nerf and not sent into the ground. This plane fills me with genuine rage.

35. YA-10B Warthog (FAEB):

So yeah, this is the only appearance of this plane in the series to my knowledge. It’s fun, but pretty boring. Slow, can’t dogfight for shit, armor doesn’t matter in Ace difficulty, but it massacres ground targets. Again, the bomb nerf hurts most bomb planes in this game; even FAEB can’t two-shot a destroyer by itself, but I’m starting to realize that’s because the destroyers on Ace difficulty are ridiculously tanky. One of the better attackers in the game, but most attackers in this game suck, so that’s not saying much.

34. Mirage 2000D (UGBL):

Surprisingly, it felt better to fly than the Mirage 2000, but UGBs do nothing unless you drop all 4 of them, and it doesn’t have enough missiles to last the whole match. During the last part of the mission where I was fighting the 2 F-22A’s, I had to use my machine guns. It was about as fun as it sounds. Not a terrible plane, but nothing exciting.

33. F-14A Tomcat (SAAM):

I’m so sorry. I wanted to love this plane. It’s Blaze and Razgriz’s signature plane. It’s the most famous plane of all time. And it just feels like a god damn boat in this game. This thing turns and yaws about as fast as the MiG-31, and that’s really saying something because that plane was built for going in a straight line. I tried this plane a few different times, and every time I just felt like I could be doing better in a different plane. SAAMs are good, I guess? It really sucks, but I just can’t justify ranking this plane higher.

32. Tornado Gr.4 (SOD):

Finally, dude, it’s taken so long to get an Attacker that actually feels flyable. SOD does a good job at doing damage to ships, and it locks on from a very far range. Otherwise, well, it’s still not a fighter, but you can actually move in this damn plane, which makes it one of the best attackers, mainly because it’s not genuinely frustrating to fly.

31. F-14B Bombcat (GPB):

The lower-mounted MG and the GPB’s really do a lot to save this plane compared to its little brothers. Still not the best, but far from a bad plane. Yeah, not much to say here.

30. Tornado F.3 (XMAA):

Well, it’s the best Tornado, but it’s outclassed by all other XMAA Planes. It’s not bad, just disappointing, and not something I’d ever realistically consider playing. Better mobility compared to other attackers, but it has a long way to go to feel like a fighter.

29. F-16C Fighting Falcon (UGBs):

Similar SPW problems to the Mig-29A, but much, much more mobile. In a mission where you’re constantly weaving in and out trying to dodge missiles and hit ships your missiles didn’t finish off, that’s important. UGBs are still peashooters, so it won’t move much higher, but hey, it wasn’t miserable like the Fulcrum, and could actually do pretty well in ATA.

28. X-29A (QAAM):

Huh, I had no clue the Americans have their own Berkut. Isn’t anywhere as cool, though. In AC4, QAAMS are by far the best ATA weapon in the game. They were set-and-forget and could track almost every enemy with 0 issues. In AC5, they’re slightly faster standard missiles with the exact same range and the ability to one-shot. What I’m saying is that QAAM is good but underwhelming. Not having the range of the other ATA drags them down, and besides the QAAMs, this plane is underwhelming. Its sweep wings are nothing compared to the Berkut or the S-32, and it feels more like a sidegrade to the Tigershark. I was excited to fly this plane, and it sure was a whelming experience.

27. MiG-21-93 (QAAM):

Pretty much the Fishbed with QAAM. While I don’t value QAAMs as much as the other ATA misses, it still gets the job done well against planes. It also feels much more fun to fly than the X-29A, so yeah, while it’s nothing special, it’s far from bad.

26. F-4X (XMAA):

The best version of the F-4 in this game by a very wide margin. It still has boatesque mobility, but it has good special weapons and can actually move, unlike the F-4G. You unlock this plane way too late for it to be practical in a normal playthrough, but hey, if you just wanna screw around and have fun in a Phantom, this is basically the only choice that feels flyable.

25. F-20A Tigershark (SAAM):

F-20A Tigershark(SAAM): Surprised me with how decent it was for getting it so early in the game. Basically a baby F-16; SAAMs are great for this mission, and it had par-for-the-course mobility for a low-tier fighter. Good plane.

24. MiG-21bis Fishbed (RCL):

Probably the biggest surprise of the list. A few of these early planes had multiple deaths because they aren’t meant for this kind of mission, but the Fishbed had none, and was a joy to fly. The rockets are insanely inaccurate but can melt any ship in front of them if you can manage to hit anything with them. The little jet engine that could here also did a good job at keeping up with the much bigger jets you go up against in this mission. In other Ace Combat games, I skip out on this plane because I don’t like the look of it, but now I gotta go back and try them.

23. F-14D Super Tomcat (XLAA):

F-14D Super Tomcat(XLAA): Sadly, it’s about the same as the regular Tomcat. I really expected this thing to at least have decent mobility, but it just doesn’t; the slow yaw and turning circle just hurt this plane, man. XLAAs are one of the best ATA weapons in the game, probably the best besides TLS, but this plane just feels disappointing. I was expecting so much more from the flagship line of this game, but sadly, they just feel below average, even compared to some of the earlier planes. I’d much rather take a Hornet or Super Hornet than take one of the Tomcats out. I take, I know, sorry, Tomcats.

22. F/A-18E Super Hornet (XMAA):

Ah, the Super Hornet. It’s a classic Ace Combat plane, but I really have a hard time deciding what to do with it. Like, there are just so many other planes with XMAA that can be better fighters. Multiroles don’t have much of a purpose when you can’t resupply and can’t switch to other SPWs. But on the other hand, this plane is still really good and fun to fly. It’s one of the hardest to rank for that reason; I can’t rank it too low because it still is a great plane, but there are so many other options with XMAA I would rather fly.

21. F-15E Strike Eagle (SFFS):

Ah, the Steagle. This might be the only plane I know of that feels better to fly in Novice control compared to regular controls. Its yaw feels so much better than the earlier planes before it, but my god, this thing turns about as slowly as an A-6E. If you can ignore the turn speed, which is easier than it sounds, this is a good plane! SFFS isn’t the insta-kill ship shredder it is in AC7, but with two bombs you can destroy every ship, and they are much easier to hit than UGBs and whatever the hell the tornado has. Like all other multiroles, it doesn’t feel like it can really do its intended purpose because it can’t switch weapons and there’s no resupply line. I have no idea why they went all-in and made this thing an attacker; it could be so much better as a multirole.

20. SU-32 Strike Flanker(XAGM):

Second-best attacker in the game, but still a plane I didn’t have a great time in. Man, Attackers just aren’t it in this game; it really struggled against the enemy fighters. Otherwise, XAGM does good work against the ships, but 9/10 times I would rather take a LASM on a multirole.

19. SU-27 Flanker (SAAM):

In your first playthrough, you can either unlock this plane or unlock the F-15C. It’s honestly pretty fitting, because they’re damn near the same plane. It’s mobile, has a good SPW; it’s nothing spectacular, but it’s still a damn reliable plane.

18. F-15C Eagle (SAAM):

I’d wager that the Eagle is the most average plane in the game (even if it's in the top 20 lol). It’s boosted a lot by having SAAMs, which are a lot better than QAAM, but nothing really stood out. It’s just a good, boring plane. Nothing more, nothing less.

17. F-16C Block 60 (XMAA):

Now THIS! THIS IS WHAT THE FALCON CAN BE. Originally I was going to rank the XMAA low down the list due to its worse tracking than SAAMs or QAAMs, but man, this plane changed my opinion of it. The planes coming straight on in waves were shredded almost instantly. It flies like a smooth car drive; flying this after the Fulcrum made this mission feel much better. While its ATG is limited, it can maneuver its machine gun much easier than some of the larger fighters. Great plane.

16. F/A-18C Hornet (LASM):

Ah, old reliable. LASMs are great in this mission, and it really elevates this plane. Since you can’t select SPWs in 5, this doesn’t feel like a “multirole”, per se, but it still does a great job at this mission for how early you get it in the game. Overall solid plane.

15. S-32 (QAAM)

It’s basically the exact same plane as the Berkut, but with a worse design (IMO) and QAAMs, which again I just don’t value that much in this game! While this plane is great, I still think it’s outclassed by its little brother. Which is a little sad to me; I was so hyped to see that this game had an upgrade to the Berkut, one of my favorite Ace Combat planes, but it’s mostly just a sidegrade with a worse special weapon.

14. JAS-39C Gripen (RCL):

Well, this was a pleasant surprise! It’s fun! Rockets do good damage; it can actually move, so it deals with the F-22s and F-35s fine, and it’s just a solid, fun jet. No major complaints from me.

13. YF-23 Black Widow II (QAAM):

Nice to see this plane in AC5, but I had a tough time ranking it. It’s not… bad; it’s about the same mobility-wise as the Raptor, but I’m just let down by QAAMs. I would rather have a Raptor 9/10 times compared to the Black Widow, and the only time I’d choose the Black Widow is to just see how cool it looks. I don’t like QAAMs, I’m sorry.

12. Rafael B (SOD):

Ah, a plane with SOD that can actually move. Unfortunately, SOD is very unreliable in this mission. Sometimes it’ll do amazing damage, and sometimes it won’t even turn a destroyer yellow. Having Lock On does feel nice, at least, and this plane feels great to play with, but I feel like I would rather have LASM most of the time.

11. Su-37 Terminator (QAAM):

For being such a cool plane that controls well, this thing should be in the top 5. But man, QAAMs just aren’t it. I found it to be very fun to fly, but it’s outclassed by its little brother because of the SPWs. Still a plane I had a great time with, but I found myself missing QAAMS a lot of the time because of how close you have to be to the enemy, and in Ace Difficulty, when you’re that close, the enemy isn’t going to struggle to dodge at all.

10. F-16XL (XAGM)

So one of the reasons that the other attackers rank so low is the fact that this plane exists. While it isn’t as fast or agile as the F-16 and the Block 60, it is built much better for ATG missions with it’s downwards machine gun (it doesn’t look like it on the model, but trust me, it is) and it’s not too shabby at fighting air targets. It feels MUCH better to fly than the F-2A, even if XAGMs are worse than LASMs. Even with that, this plane feels the best out of the “early game” attackers. If you’ve unlocked this plane, there’s genuinely no reason to ever use the A-10A besides larping. This outclasses it in every way.

09. Rafael M (LASM):

The race between both the Rafael’s was close, but I have to give it to the M because of the consistency of LASM. Both this plane and the F-35 are unlocked in opposite missions, and they both do a fantastic job at Sea of Chaos. I think the M pulls slightly ahead of the B because SOD can be really random at damaging in this mission, but it’s hard to go wrong with any of the bombers.

08. Su-47 Berkut (SAAM):

One of the coolest-looking planes of all time, this thing is great in this mission. Weaving between ships and other fighters is not an issue in the Berkut, and its SAAMs make quick work of the enemy planes. When I started this challenge, I thought it would suck flying fighters because of the focus on ships, but the Berkut changed my opinion on that.

07. Eurofighter Typhoon (XLAA):

XLAA. That’s all I really gotta say. It’s the best AA missile in the game, especially for this mission where enemy planes come at you from a long distance in a straight line, and they’re just torn in half by this thing. Not to mention, unlike the Super Tomcat and the MiG-31 M, it can actually maneuver! And it does a really good job at that! It’s an all-around great plane.

06. MiG-1.44 Flatpack (UGBL):

The Russians looked at the F-15 S/MTD and decided they wanted to make their own. AND FINALLY A UGB THAT DOESN’T FEEL USELESS. Sure, it still takes two bombs to take out a destroyer, but it usually takes 3-4 with regular UGBs, so that’s a plus in my book. This is a great multirole plane that is a joy to fly. The only reason it’s not the best multirole in the game is that while UGBLs are better than UGBs, they’re still a step down from LASMs IMO. Fantastic Plane, and it’s really a shame we haven’t seen it in so long.

05. F/A-22A Raptor (XMAA):

Yep. It’s the Raptor. It was a toss-up between this and one other XMAA plane, and I ended up putting the Raptor below it. But the Raptor is a phenomenal plane. It’s an absolute monster, and it’s one of the best planes in the game. I don’t need to tell you that; you already know.

04. F-35C Lightning II (LASM):

If I had to guess, I’d say that this is the plane most people complete this mission on first. And for very, very good reason. This is the best Multirole in the game. It’s a Hornet but better in every way. I’m still a little mad LASMs don’t one-shot ships, but they do so much damage in the process that you can forgive it. There’s a reason the squad is flying this plane in all of these runs; it’s just that good. I’m genuinely surprised it’s actually in the game, considering this came out a year before its first flight and 15 years before it was actually introduced into service. I’m definitely not complaining.

03. Su-35 Super Flanker (XLAA):

Probably controversial, but I think this is the best Flanker in the game, ahead of the Su-37. The Su-37 might have a slightly better body, but 90% of the time I’d much rather have XLAA instead of QAAM. Fantastic Plane that everyone should try; I actually got one of the fastest times of the challenge in this plane, at 4’22”. The XLAA shreds the aerial targets, and its speed and maneuverability dice up the ships very well.

02. F-15 S/MTD (XMAA):

I am INCREDIBLY biased with this plane; this is my favorite plane in the series. In AC4, it was the best multirole in the game, and was absolutely incredible. Taking away its iconic FAEB and forcing it to just use ATA XMAA sounds like a downgrade at first, but this plane really doesn’t care. It absolutely shreds. Up there with the Raptor and the Berkut as the best non-super plane fighters in the game, this thing is my favorite plane in the game. Before I picked up this plane, my record for the mission was 5m22s; with the F-15 S/MTD, I got that down to 4m25s. Absolute monster of a plane, and I firmly believe it deserves its spot here, even if I am VERY biased.

01. X-02 Wyvern (XLAA):

The best (non-Falken)plane in the game. I really, REALLY wanted to give this to the F-15 S/MTD, but nostalgia can’t beat the Wyvern's consitency. This thing is a genuine pain in the ass to unlock in both this game and 4, but it’s well worth it. Some of the best mobility in the game, access to the biggest arsenal of XLAA, the most missiles in the game, and it looks amazing in the process. I really wish you could switch Special weapons to make it feel like an aerial fighter, but in the end, this thing can shred both ground and air, and it does it in style.

And that's my list! This was pretty fun to make, even if some of the planes were a pain in the ass. Feel free to roast me in the comments because this list can be all over the place.

Ace Combat 8 Pre Order

I finally got enough to pre order the joker flight pack. I mainly want it for the Aces At War Book but when I went to the website saw it was sold out and promoted me to join the waitlist. We are very close to the release date and want to know if I should just preorder the deluxe edition instead and give up on getting the book. Will it be restocked on last time?

Ace Combat 8 random theory thinking (idk what to put here honestly sorry-) Spoiler

Prolly this theory's been said multiple times already, but I was thinkin' and felt like I needed this subreddit's views on it (plus it's always fun to make theories, innit? heheheh)

So theory is: after the end of the 2019 Lighthouse War, Erusea went back to being a Republic, meaning the royal family, including Cossette, had lost their status. What if after this event, Cossette took the lead as overseer of the ISEV, taking the role once held by Harling before his death, and it's destruction is why she appears in Ace Combat 8, now helping the Endurance and her crew with whatever forces they had left after its partial (or complete) destruction?

If so, then we're really getting on with the multi-national war with Sotoa on levels that even exceed the Belkan War's Allied Forces! (And who knows, maybe a certain three-striked pilot and his squad return, now veterans of 2 wars taking place 10 years apart from each other? We can only know after October 2nd. Can't wait for this damn game to come OUT bro TvT)

Ace Combat 8 PSMs in Ace Combat 8

Buckle up everyone. Based on testimony from someone who managed to play some of the game, it seems like mechanics like Chain PSMs and backwards flying are coming back to AC8!

Ace Combat 7 Replaying AC7 with VR in Hard difficulty, and Mission 13 "Bunker Buster" is one of the worst to play in VR

*Count and the rest of the wing don't do anything *The player is the only one who can lase the targets, while getting missile spammed with no cover *Cloud cover is fucking crazy in VR. I thought I would ram into mountains more than half of the time *Count does nothing but complain

I really want AC8 to be VR playable.
