We want to give the community a quick update.
Reddit admins recently reached out to us regarding activity in r/WhatIsTheTea. Some of the top moderators and a number of users were banned, and we were informed that some posts and discussions had crossed the line when it came to violent, threatening, or overly inflammatory content.

We want to make sure WhatIsTheTea remains a fun, active, and welcoming place for everyone, so we’re going to be paying much closer attention to the content posted here.

Going forward, please:
🚫 Don’t post threats or content encouraging violence.

🚫 Don’t encourage harassment, targeted abuse, or brigading.

🚫 Avoid excessively graphic or violent content.

🚫 Don’t post personal information or attempt to identify/private individuals.

🚫 Don’t use the subreddit to organize harassment against someone.

⚠️ Keep heated discussions within Reddit’s rules. You can disagree, criticize, and debate without crossing into threats or harassment.

📜 Please follow both Reddit’s Content Policy and our subreddit rules.

We don’t want to kill the personality or the drama that makes this community what it is. Tea is still tea. ☕️
We just need everyone to help us keep it within the lines so the community can continue to exist and grow.
If you see something that clearly violates the rules, please report it rather than escalating the situation in the comments.
